Summa hospice is extremely slow to provide medication to help your loved one. They don’t seem to care that you are suffering and take hours for any type of relief for your final days. Worst hospice ever.

They tried to say pills were missing ....then they tried to say the pills were counted incorrectly....They sent a Nurse to recount them and the count indeed was CORRECT ! The Nurse stormed OUT of our home because we would not sign a paper stating that WE WERE AT RISK of shortages ! We were NOT guilty of ANYTHING ! They also said they would bring me oxygen.....which NEVER CAME ! Looking for a good caring hospice for your loved one ? MOVE ON.....This Hospice can only give you more grief !

I had an awful experience. I don’t think my dad got a peaceful journey. Nurse Shaun and nursing assistant Alonzo were awesome. Pastor Kevin was also great.

Just want to give a BIG SHOUT-OUT for Summa at Home Hospice Aide Alonzo T. aka "AL". The Man treated our 84 y/o dad with Great Care & Compassion and asked him Questions and was very Carefull with his bone pain from the cancer. A real life Gentle Giant....We hope he can come back to take care of dad...Thank You Again Sir -n- hope you have a great Memorial weekend.

Grandma had Summa hospice service at home we got from Summa Akron City Hospital. They came in early in the morning and do her bathe. I came to talk to her later on at night and made sure she had a bath. It was all taken care of. She had her medicine and they make sure she ate, make sure she was comfortable. They did a good job. They came over when they heard Grandma was not doing well and was unresponsive so they took her to the hospital and that's where she passed. There was nothing else that they can do for her but they did the best they can. They did what they have to do and they did it right.

The aids were awesome. The Dr .s and Nurse response time was outstanding. They made my Dad's last days easier , and they became family to us. I do not know what we would have done without them and their resources. Even now they are in contact with us and will remain so, for two years. They also offer bereavement counseling and have a Memorial Service for our loved one. I can't say enough about how Great they were.
