Mesilla Valley Hospice was recommended by my doctor, so we went with it. He has worked with them and thought they were good. They were excellent, they provided a nurse that came every week, they had a social worker, chaplain, and a volunteer who also came in every week. They provided a bed and wheelchair, and also sent a nursing assistant when we needed it. They met all the needs that we had. They gave us one main nurse, but I also had others when she wasn't available, and they didn't cost anything because Medicare paid for everything.

My mother is under Mesilla Valley Hospice. They're very nice people, very attentive, and they're always there and always return our calls promptly. Everything is fine. We're very glad we have them on board.

Mesilla Valley Hospice was amazing. I have nothing but good things to say about those people. My dad had an aide that would come to bathe him, shave him, and make sure he was clean and comfortable. Later, when he got worse, it was more of a sponge bath. She always did a really good job in keeping him neat and clean. The nurses was amazing, too, and they also had a pastor come in. They had a volunteer system, so when I needed to go to the grocery store, I could have a volunteer come and stay with him so that he was never alone. Dad was declining rapidly, and he didn’t want to go into a care facility since he didn’t need medical. The nursing he had was mostly to monitor his vital signs, but he wasn’t connected to a lot of equipment, so it was fine to keep him at home. They were amazing. They never made me feel like I was taking too much of their time. They always were responsive to telephone calls or questions and always had time for me. We worked with them for about four weeks.
