Our caregivers are excellent at managing recipes, cleaning up after using the kitchen, etc. Fantastic to come home to food prepared. Always arrive on time and are flexible if we are needing to adjust by a few minutes. Our caregiver is an RN and has a lot to talk to my husband about since she knows a lot about Parkinson's. We have lots to talk about and I always know I will be called is there is anything that I need to know while gone from the house.

Home Instead Columbia MO has been caring for both of my parents since Dec 2018 and have been doing a wonderful job since day one. Earlier this year my father was hospitalized and subsequently transferred to a long term care facility. Debbie C. and her caregivers continued to provide 24/7 care for my mother from daily trips to visit my father, taking care of the household and giving the type of compassionate support my mother needed in order to deal with this separation from her husband. On top of all that Debbie put up with daily questions and suggestions from me with grace and good humor. Then Covid hit and visitations to the nursing facility were suspended. As expected my mother's level of anxiety stemming from the inability to be with my father increased dramatically. Despite this obstacle Debbie continued to take my mother for visits - traversing the grounds outside my father's room, setting my mother in a chair and letting her to talk with my father over the phone. These visits meant the world to both of them and I can't say how much I and my siblings appreciate the time Debbie took to provide my mother with a semblance of normalcy. I have every intention of continuing to have Debbie and her staff care for my mother at home as long as it is feasible. I find it difficult to express how much of a comfort it has been knowing that my parents have been so well cared for over the past 20 months and am confident it will continue to be so into the future.

The main thing they provide is companionship to my Mom as well as run errands with her, take her to appts, and do light housekeeping for her. She has MD so they read the newspapers and mail to her, as well as bake cookies or a pizza or something she can have for lunch as well as leftovers. They are always prompt and are flexible in accommodating changing up the hours a bit if necessary. Mom feels safe, comfortable and happy with her caregivers and we're very grateful for that. We would recommend Home Instead to everyone who needs home care.

We have Home Instead for 4 hours each week. My wife has Alzheimer's. We have had three different ladies, All are knowledgeable and very good. They completely clean our condo, do the clothes washing and have plenty of time to interact with my wife. She feels like they are her friends and is happy to see them.
