A Place At Home - Merrimack Valley was good because they followed up. We tried hard to keep my mother in the house, and then she had an episode. She didn't kind of get along with the person, so she ended up leaving the house. I don't think I can blame the caregiver. We used them for three months. The caregiver was good. Her personality was a little too perky for my mother but she tried her best. I think my mom wasn't going to be happy with anybody. We chose them because the price was a little better, and we did some research and we just felt like they were a good fit.

My 97 year old aunt was still living by herself in her own home when she started to fall. My wife and i decided we would get her into the nursing home until we could retrofit our house to have her stay with us. She had very limited mobility and required a care giver to come in the morning and again in the late afternoon to get her in and out of the bathroom, bathed, dressed etc. The first agency we chose unfortunately did not work out too well and we had Gary come in and do a site visit and meet with my aunt. I only wish we had chosen them from the beginning. The difference was like night and day. Our biggest concern was reliability, with APAH we had access online to the care giver schedule, Belinda was always available if I had questions or concerns with the schedule. The caregivers were professional, kind , compassionate and very reliable. In particular Tina was fantastic but they were all excellent at their job. We discovered that though rewarding, taking in an elderly relative to care for is stressful and carries a ton of responsibility. Thank God for Gary and his team, they took so much of the stress away. Unfortunately, my aunt recently has moved into the nursing home due to health concerns. But she was very grateful for the care she received and was very fond of all the girls that she dealt with. I would not hesitate to recommend APAH Merrimack Valley if you need in home care providers.

We have our mom at home with a live-in caregiver right now. We hired A Place at Home - Merrimack Valley. So far, so good. They came and met my mom, and then they recommended a couple people that could do live-in. As the children, we interviewed them and picked the one that we thought was best suited for my mom. They have done weekly visits as well just to make sure that everything was going OK. They have been available at a drop of a call, too. The caregiver has taken my mom to a doctor's appointment. They go grocery shopping together. They went and bought a gift for her great grandson together. She does some homemaking stuff like cleaning. She also cooks for my mom. The caregiver is a godsend. I could not live with my mother, so God bless her for doing this. She has been wonderful. She really cares about my mom. She has introduced my mother to island food, so that's kind of nice. She has been fantastic. She even had to deal with my mother going through a UTI, so God bless her for that. They bill me weekly and I can just pay online through QuickBooks, so that's kind of convenient. I definitely would recommend them. For in-home care it's pretty reasonably priced. It's obviously more than a facility, but it's not too extravagant.

When our parents were in need of home care we turned to A Place At Home. The company arranged to meet our parents to perform an assessment and assign a caregiver. During the assessment they listened carefully to the needs of our elderly parents and assigned a respectful and compassionate person as a caregiver. Both of our parents are in their 90’s, yet they enjoy an independent lifestyle in their home. The caregivers at A Place At Home provide help performing the activities of daily living and make it possible for our parents to continue their independent lifestyle. The caregivers at A Place At Home are polite and engaging and provide a high level of care. We are grateful that our elderly parents have the opportunity to continue to thrive while living at home. We highly recommend A Place At Home.
