Unfortunately I've been there 2x this year to see 2 very special humans leave to be with the angels. Although I know its challenging and at times can become repetitive "all lives matter" especially in the end of days and did notice that it was "just" work related. They needed water....none was given. Their lips were so cracked with thirst....no chap stick. The check ins were few and far between. I do know these 2 beautiful individuals deserved a much better place to call they're last!

I gave four stars while I have seen many families looking happy and deserve 5 stars from them . My experience was three stars in that although it’s a Good, calm place Overall there was some Genuineness missing that I can only pinpoint due to needing perfection . During last days seeing a loved one in physical form. The front greeters could’ve been friendlier and there was not one therapy dog. The baked goods could’ve been more home made tasting The prayer people were nice The priest lacked emotion needed But overall good place Much better than a hospital for sure. God bless

My mother before she became an angel had the last two weeks of life with Kaplan House. My mother had the best team of nurses and DR's that took care of her mentally and physically. My mother passed away with grace. dignity and no pain. The staff at the Kaplan House loved my mother the way I loved my mother and took care of her like family! I can never thank them enough for what they did for my mother and for me. I will be forever grateful and thankful! They are all angels at the Kaplan House!

When my young brother told the nurse he knew he was dying, but was also starving, they continued to advocate for no fluid support in light of family member concerns. I felt the doctor, nurse and social worker teamed up like bullies to tell a fragile young man what he needed to do and he was too weak to fight back. No one should feel like they are starving when they are dying.

This placed is run by angels, who treat your loved one the way that you would. They step in and do the necessary care, so that you can peacefully enjoy the last moments with your loved one. I was able to sleep in the room near my Dad, and was never made to feel like I was in the way. My Dad had wanted to die in his own bed, but the bed that they provided was much more comfortable and appropriate for him...and he felt it, too. He passed peacefully. The kind support of the staff was exceptional.
