The mission of Iowa Hospice is to bring love, joy and peace into the homes of those suffering from a life-limiting or terminal illness. Our hospice services help patients and their families cherish the goodness of each and every day and also appreciate the memories of the past. Through our quality care and compassion, the hospice team_s "Love in Action" approach will help alleviate the pain and suffering of those in the midst of loss and vulnerability. Iowa Hospice is dedicated to providing hospice services to all those in need. We do not exclude, deny benefits to, or otherwise discriminate against any person on the grounds of religion, race, color, or national origin. We also do not discriminate on the basis of disability or age in admission to, participation in, or receipt of the services and benefits under any of our programs and activities. Our organization provides each individual the opportunity to live the remainder of their time in a community of respect, kindness and understanding. Hospice services are available for those who have decided, with the consent of their family physician, to receive comfort care rather than seek a cure for their illness. Palliative care, in addition to homecare, is available from the very onset of an illness or when treatments for a condition are no longer viewed as successful. Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and individuals provide the funding for hospice services. No one will be turned away from our hospice services because of an inability to pay.
