I have had them on and off for 12 years. Right now, my caregivers have helped me the most by addressing my blindness issue. I was in a fire and it was a big deal. The assistance that I receive from one of my caregivers in recovery from the fire, which is ongoing, has been tremendous. They could improve the quality of the staff. I have a bunch of different caregivers and some of them are not as good as others. They have some that are great, and they have some that I have to supervise in everything that is being done. Being that I am blind, it's more of a hassle for me sometimes.

I'm supposed to wear compression socks, and if I can't get anyone to put them on for me, I am not in good health. I haven't had a caregiver for a couple of weeks, and the last one I had wasn't able to do much for me. I like that they gave me the opportunity to coordinate my own schedule. I don't know if there is anything they can do, but it's getting a caregiver to work for me for a couple of hours, that they need to improve on. Under the circumstances, they are doing the best they can.

It was always mentioned in the logs that the cleaning was done but that was not the case. When I mentioned it their response that the caregiver was not able to get to it. The way that they maintain their logs online indicating the work that they're doing needs to be improved. Misleading information was terse and short.

West Liberty is on the border, pretty far from Cedar Rapids, and it was hard to find caregivers to come out for my mother. I would like more consistency with the caregivers.

It made a huge difference. The times that they were here they were very helpful. We needed 24 hour care, so they were very helpful. There was a little confusion at the beginning when getting set up. I don't think they screened the nighttime staff. They didn't ask about pets, smoking, or anything like that. The first girl that came over walked right out because she was allergic to carts. We felt that should have been screened before.

The agency could have made life easier if they offered different personnel with different skills. My dad needed someone who had better communication skills. If the person who is looking for the aides is an elderly woman who is a little weaker and needs help with comfort, I would recommend them. If it is a male who is very active and needs a lot of redirection, I would not recommend them.

They were good. I needed the help,and they provided the help I needed. The second person I got did a good job for me. She was a self-starter and did not need much supervision. I would recommend them as long as they provide an individual that does a good job. The first person who was sent to me did not represent what the company was about, but the next person was really great.
