The agency has fitted clients that fulfill all the needs I have in my home!! They all arrive in time and are always willing and ready to work. Whenever I have Dr appointments, they always make sure someone is available to take me, even if it's the Office Manager!! If they don't have someone available in a particular day, they make sure that I don't have anything special going on that day! There was 1 time that I needed my trash out on the curb, that an office worker came and put it out!! They have an awesome way to make sure their clients are taken care of!! If I have specific aides TV at have certain strengths that I need, i requested that they assign them to me more often, and they do as often as possible!!

This is an excellent care provider. Prompt, professional, intelligent and caring workers with good judgment, a great work ethic and absolute dication to my father. Flexible coverage when we take Dad to one of our homes for a few days or a week. Good communication skills and also able to clean, shop, prepare meals and track Dad taking his medicine. My highest recommendation

I am a past client of this provider

Home Instead Senior Care was awful to deal with regarding our mother's end-of-life care last autumn. We hired them to provide 12-hour night-time care, from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., on Sundays through Thursdays. We were assured by them that they had, could, and would provide experienced staff for our needs. Our mother lay in her bed in her Assisted Living apartment, in hospice, with dementia and declining health, slowly dying. They did not meet either their obligations or our needs. Their one “experienced” nighttime caregiver, they kept pulling off the job for other, evidently more important daytime clients, and they kept sending us totally new and inexperienced caregivers who, frankly, didn’t seem to care. Despite strict instructions to NOT SLEEP on the job, and the knowledge that we had nanny-cams in the apartment, one of the “substitutes” even brought her own blanket, and slept on the sofa for several hours at a time before we finally demanded she be removed from the assignment. Another person assigned to our contract cancelled routinely, at least once a week, on zero notice, with seemingly made-up excuses. The firm routinely failed to send a replacement. Their attitude was one of pretty words of regret and “so sorry,” but, in point of fact, of flipping the problem back into our laps with no notice, no backup, and, seemingly, no qualms. The only solution to this problem which they left us, was for our closest family member, who lives 2.5 hours away in Chicago, to drop everything and drive down to “take the shift” for which Home Instead had been hired under contract. We finally had to fire Home Instead Senior Care for breach of contract. Finding a replacement on short notice was impossible. We ended up having to do the job ourselves. We did this by multiple family members tag-teaming observation of our mother all night via the security cameras. We had to then call the night nurse at her facility (since our mom had dementia and had no idea of how to use the call-for-help button) if there was a material problem. It was infuriating, insulting, and just added to our stress and heartbreak. This firm not only didn’t lessen our burden, they doubled it at a time when we were desperate and vulnerable. Home Instead’s idea of job performance was clearly “Family Instead.” As an EMT friend of mine once said, “Run as from fire.” This firm was just dreadful.

I have a caregiver take care of family member so I can do errands and go to work. The staff have always arrived on time, or called me with a message, such as delayed in traffic. Caregivers are caring and want to please the patient and me. Always looking for ways to help out. Agency has worked hard to make a good match and has provided caregivers when needed. Subtsitutes for a regular caregiver have been excellent matches too.

The original interview I had with Home Instead Senior Care was very detailed, as they sought out the exact information a caregiver would need to know about me in order to give the best quality care possible! I was not only heard, but "listened to"! At age 53, with many health problems, this was very important to me.

Staff and Caregivers are very professional and well trained in Dementia. Caregivers are reliable and arrive on time. They ease my worries when I'm not there with my loved one by knowing his needs are being met. If any issues do arise, they are taken care of in a timely and professional manner. The Caregivers are very passionate about their work.

We have a private caregiver that provides daily care for my mother (not thru Home Instead) but Home Instead has filled a vital service as emergency care for our family when our current caregiver has been unexpectedly made unavailable. Branden has always been so gracious and easy to work with. He has made being a distant caregiver (I live 5 hours away from my mother) so much better knowing that I have someone to turn to. The stress of "what do I do now" just melts away after I have spoken with him. I am so thankful that they are willing to take on these short stents while my current caregiver gets back on her feet.

Home Instead got a really good group of people, and my parents really likes the lady that comes over. We decided to hire them as we really liked the personality of the lady who has interaction with my parents. She is very kind, efficient, knowledgeable, good at cooking, and helps with the housework. Billing and scheduling is great. It costs as much as assisted living place, but we don’t mind that as long as mom is well taken care of.

The caregivers from Home Instead were very personable. They stayed with me for two hours interviewing me to determine what my needs were. I've been working with them for about two months now.
