They don't keep my schedule in mind, which is annoying. They sometimes cancel at the last minute too when I have rearranged my schedule for them.

It depends on the person. Some of them are good and some of them just put in the bare minimum so you have to be there all the time. There were two caregivers that I liked a lot. They helped motivate the client and were able to do their own things. For the ones that were not as good, they could have had a greater impact if they were to be self-motivated so I didn't have to be there to tell them what to do. I think they were able to help the client a little bit, but there were some things they could do and some things they could not. For the things they could do, I had to tell some of them directly what they needed to do. For the two outstanding ones, they knew what needed to be done and they did it. I just couldn't afford it. I also checked with the nurse because it was not covered under Medicare. I couldn't afford to go with them more than one month. Gia was outstanding and the other ones I had were just average.

I had multiple caregivers. Some weren't good and some were excellent. There was not a consistency of care. Some of them were lazy. Some of them wouldn't show up for work and some wouldn't be truthful. The employees training needs to be improved. They need to have better communication from the management team to the client.

Someone needs to be with my dad during dialysis, and our family can't do that. I like that they are really good at communicating and letting us know if there is a scheduling issue. For example, I just spoke with a gentleman that is helping my father, and he is very thorough. You can tell they have people who care.

The caregivers are friends as well. We really like Zoe the nursing student, Nicky, and Adriana. We've had a number of different people. Every one of them has been very friendly, kind, and seems to do whatever you ask them to do. They will ask you if there's anything else you need done. The first person they sent out was a nursing student and we've had her sit in with all of her appointments. The people who administer the therapies tell us how much more advanced she is compared to other people. A lot of it is because of the nursing student.

Annie the caregiver that is there four days a week does really well. They post comments online, the caregiver checks off what happened that day. This keeps us informed, and we are able to communicate through this as well, it is called the family room. The caregiver that is with her four days a week has been really good.

They are all fairly young, they have been okay at first, but he is just requiring a lot more personal care now. They are younger and they do not converse that much with him. Some of them have been great and some have been nervous. We just had somebody different every time. So every time somebody comes I have to re-explain everything, and that is confusing for my husband. The care is fine, I just have to explain every time. I think if it was someone I was familiar with it would be different. Because it is someone new every time, I am not sure what to tell them to do every time.
