Orangeburg Senior Helping Center: A PACE Healthcare Program (All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) is a comprehensive medical service plan for qualified individuals 55 and older that removes the burden of coordinating care and support services from participants and families. Orangeburg Center Helping Center is dedicated to helping you meet your healthcare needs in the community rather than at a nursing home. It covers all Medicare/Medicaid covered care and services, and other services that the PACE team of health care professionals decides are necessary to improve and maintain your health. This may include drugs, as well as any other medically necessary care, like other health provider visits, transportation, home care, hospital visits, or nursing home stays when necessary. Participants utilize PACE’s physician and receive most health services at our Day Center, where they can also socialize and enjoy a hot meal. Transportation is provided. Living at home is your goal. Home health care services from Interim allow individuals to stay safe, independent, and engaged while remaining in their own homes. We offer: Personal Care and Support Companionship and help with daily living activities such as grooming, bathing, fixing meals, and laundry. Nursing Services As allowed by state law, Interim offers in-home nursing care provided by Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) or Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs). Available services include the monitoring of blood pressure, glucose, and other vital signs, disease and treatment education, wound care, and medication administration. Therapies Many therapies can be provided at home to speed recovery from illness, injury or surgery, while also allowing families to be more closely involved in the rehabilitation process. Interim offers physical, occupational, and speech therapies. Respite Care Respite care from Interim provides family members breaks from the daily routine of care giving.
