My caregivers vary. Overall, when I get a good one, they have had a positive impact because they have helped me become more independent by letting me do what I need to do and relearn things I was doing before so I can regain my independence. I use this agency as opposed to the other place because it's the closest thing I could get to on-demand. Even if somebody doesn't make their shift, they can usually find somebody else to cover in a reasonable amount of time. If I don't have anybody scheduled and I need someone, they can find somebody within a good amount of time. Other companies don't really have that option. I have had shifts lately where people have called out sick and there is no substitute, so I have been left alone. I have been feeling like any kind of home care should be a little bit like 911. If I went to another company, they might not have anybody either. It's not necessarily just this agency, but everybody is probably like that. That's what I have been noticing lately that has been a problem.

Debbie, the caregiver that we have right now, is wonderful and we love her. I would want the agency to improve on consistency for their caregivers. The one that comes to my dad's house is great, but there have been other times that they were changing the caregivers all the time.

I think it helped him get out of the funk that he was in, which was good. The nurse who came to be with him had stories to share that helped him with his own situation. I would recommend Family Resource to others because I liked the intake process, they were very personable, and helpful, and answered all of my questions.

Edie has a lot of life experience. She figures out what to do. My mom only has 4 hours and one caregiver. When there were other ones, some of the other caregivers were not as savvy about basic things, like making coffee or dusting or taking initiative.

I don't want to be in a home, at all. That's the one thing. They give me 24 hour care. I was looking for an easy transition. They recommended the hospice care, too. There isn't anything to improve, so far. They do what they say they're going to do.
