I would recommend them better if they had a better way of checking on their employees, more than calling in and asking if they're fine. They need to track them better.

They should have had backup when a caregiver called out, and the CNAs should have known what they were doing. We had a caregiver who only received training for two days. The first nurse was wonderful, but there were problems when a caregiver would call out. Because of this, I had to go back and forth with my job.

The amount of skills that the nurses have is reassuring to me. When having a pediatric and adult case, we have to schedule things differently. Each nurse, regardless of age, has preferences of clients. When they get clients that match with the nurses' preferences, it makes things so much smoother.

I would tell a friend that BrightStar Care has qualified people. We get to select them and see if they work out well with my loved one. We've had one or two who didn't work out, but overall, things have gone very well for my wife. My wife doesn't like to be trapped in the house because she can't drive. I don't think that we could do without BrightStar Care as far as my wife is concerned. She needs constant supervision so she doesn't fall. The caregivers have to be aware of that she so doesn't fall.
