The last day my husband was here, a young girl was the caregiver. She was willing to sit here and stay with him in case he needed anything. I was very impressed with that. I found them on the internet and I liked their reasons for reaching out to help people and they were close to our home location. When I talked to them on the phone I was impressed. They tried very hard to help. When I needed a caregiver they were telling me I needed to contact them ahead of the time to ensure the one caregiver I wanted, but they kept sending me someone different. I liked how they present themselves and they did try hard to find us help.

There are some caregivers who sit on the phone and do nothing, and others come to work. My caregiver is very good, and I would recommend her. The caregivers come when they want, and they make their own rules. I had a caregiver who came for 45 minutes or an hour, but she's supposed to be here for two hours. There's something that needs to be done about setting up a steady schedule. The schedule is bad. I want them to come at the same time every day for the two hours.

They need more clinical people to service me and to answer the phones more professionally. They aren't knowledgeable about certain people's health conditions and what it means. It went beyond my expectations. It's a difficult service, because it deals with ill people, but it was an amazing service. The social worker and the registered nurse who were on Elisa's case were exceptional. They went above and beyond my expectations, and they answered a lot of questions. We had a lot of family members taking care of Elisa, but the other family members were not medically inclined, so the nurse took on a lot of questions. They did so with professionalism and patience.

Nobody called to let me know that no one came, and my father was waiting. The office people never called me back. It's not a joke when taking care of a loved one, they can't just quit on us.

The services have been helpful to me. When we were in Ghana, I had to do the work alone. My husband is a US citizen and a veteran. This year, we came to America. There are so many household chores to do and my husband is heavy. I had a problem with my left shoulder. I would feel pain in my neck and shoulder after helping him with his bath. I no longer feel that pain all of the time. They are a company that provides home care services. Their workers are caring and they are patient with people in their old age, like my husband. They respect their fellow human beings and they don't care about my husband's challenges. They always do their best to help him.

I would like for BrightStar Care to not have a lack of communication or coordination. There are other things, but I do not want to be too negative. BrightStar Care has been able to occasionally send me a good caregiver who actually does the things that I need done to help me with my needs. However, other aides have their own agenda, and from their website, BrightStar Care sounds like a wonderful and caring company. There have been some changes in the administration recently, and they have gone downhill dramatically. I was quite pleased with BrightStar Care prior to this, but they are not able to do things for me anymore.
