Bonnie, who I think was an office manager. talked to Barbara, the caregiver, and told her she wasn't supposed to be doing what she was doing, because I share the bathroom and kitchen with my dad. It made my dad uncomfortable that Barbara just had to sit there.

There are several different things on why I like Assistance in Home Care. The communication between the office and the caregivers is excellent, the communication between the office and me is excellent, and when there are areas of concerns, they are proactive on taking care of it.

I like their reliability. They have a policy about how they do things, the government took away some of the things I liked about the services. They don't allow the caregivers to go anywhere with me or give me a ride.

Assistance in Home Care doesn't seem to have the capacity to match caregivers to clients. The services tied to a specific caregiver make life easier but if they were to go away so would the services. John has had great improvement with our current caregiver.

They make my life easier because the caregiver who comes in helps tremendously to take care of my loved one because she bathes and shaves him. She also dresses him and takes him for a walk.

You need to make sure that you really question the home care company to make sure that your caregivers are trained correctly, and that they are really concerned about your needs. I am completely at the mercy of my caregivers, and would be helpless without them.
