I would be more comfortable if we could get him in a place where he can be more managed with his medication. He seems to be doing ok. Alison should be there today but said that she hasn't been showing up. She hasn't done much since I saw her last we left a note to clean the fridge and she hasn't done that.

It depends on who comes. Olivia comes in the morning and sometimes we get different people. She helps get him up and helps with his dressing. Sometimes she'll mop and change the water pail. The other ones will sit with him and talk with him and pay attention to him. The people are nice and do their jobs.

They change the dates or time sometimes and they don't let you know. They said they would change some things, but after dealing with it multiple times, they have not done it. My husband is blind and is 92. He takes whatever is given. He appreciates whatever service is given. He likes the service but a lot of times the cleaning is not being done as well as it could be. It started out very nicely, but after a while it's taken for granted. They could give more training to their caregivers. I don't think enough attention is given to the very elderly. They send out good people but they aren't trained in very specific areas of managing the care they give.

The service had been a huge stress relieve. I injured my back in November and was not able to help my husband shower. Since we stared with the agency our caregiver has taken on the role to help him shower and that really has been a tremendous help. He was pretty happy, mellow, and peaceful when he had someone there with him. It was very helpful for me and my partner to get some stuff done. I had a little bit of difficulty with someone that worked with my dad. At first we had someone, and then they quit. I did have problems with scheduling. If I had to call and change it for one day, it seemed to confuse them and it would mess up the schedule.

I am truly disappointed in their service, to be honest, and I don't think they could improve my position. They started off very good, and the first worker they gave me was good, but then he failed his drug test so they fired him. They gave me a particular person after that that I would recommend highly, but I wouldn't recommend the others. They don't have the patient's interest in mind.

The primary caregiver, Ellery, is from Right at Home. I think the work that she has been doing has been exceptional. I think the level of care is excellent. She's energetic, accomplishes a lot, and she's focused on the primary needs of my folks. She gets them good meals to eat and makes sure they take their medication. She's extraordinarily good with that. She also gets them bathed and clothed properly. She does a really good job. One of the reasons I picked Right At Home is they have something called the Family Room, which is an online portal. You can get on the computer, log in to the portal, and read the caregiver reports that are logged every day so you can track what's going on.

We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices. All of our caregivers are employed by Right at Home and are bonded and insured.
