The care givers do a good job taking care of my mom. But, the moment my mom tested positive for Covid, they left her. My mom is paralyzed from the waist down. She is bed or wheelchair bound, needs help toileting, dressing etc. Wow!!!!!! Just like that. So much for compassion, and caring for clients. What happened to masks, shields, gloves etc. How can they justify walk away? Thier policy leaves clients and families just hanging. I am not impressed, actually I am very angry. What reason to walk away will they use next? They now cannot be trusted.

I did not take any respite this year because there is no where to go. But last year I was able to take advantage of that to make sure my father has companionship. Sometimes his memory is challenging. This is very important to us. It was all new and he came to live with me. If it were not for Brightstar it would be very difficult for both of us. They may need to vet out their caregivers a little more. At first there was no consistency. At first it was hard for my father to get used to them. We had to go through a series of people. It just seemed like it was a lot of turnover. We have it now. I think they do the best job they can.

My sister recently celebrated her birthday and BrightStar sent her a card and one of her caregivers brought her flowers. I feel my sister is well cared for with dignity. Thank you BrightStar.

I'm not able to move well, so my house has been atrocious when they showed up. Now my home is tolerable because of the caregiver. She does whatever needs to be done. My caregiver has been fantastic and such as a good worker. Also, the agency is reliable and compassionate.

She looked forward to them coming. Sometimes, they just sat and talked to her. They would also lift heavy things for and do dishes with her. There was just company for her. I don't think BrightStar can take care of more intense needs.

Liz is my husband Donald’s caregiver 8 hours a week. We love her. She is always on time, she goes beyond the norm in caring for him. He won’t normally speak to anyone, but he talks to her. And he will play checkers with her which he won’t do for anyone else. She is always cheerful which is a big help. And Liz is always very kind to Donald. I appreciate Viola at BrightStar in Sierra Vista for her willingness to help if I call and have to change a time or a date. She is always cheerful and kind.

Wanted to say Thank you to Stephanie and Marsha for all the wonderful care given while healing up from surgery. It was a huge relief to have them come in to my home and take care of bandage changes. I had someone to look forward to coming by and checking on me. It helped me mentally and physically because she had no problem with helping me wash my hair. The last person who was taking care of me had a very good understanding of what my needs were. I looked forward to her coming.

They are only here for a bit. It's nice to come home and my mom is well taken care of, but it's because of my sister and not the caretakers. I don't think the girls that have been here take the initiative to do more. They do light house cleaning, but it's not done well.

I think the impact is for the family the most. My mom is fine and is treated well, but she needs care 24/7. Family is there consistently, and the whole time BrightStar Care is there. The family couldn't have peace without them. The caregiver that she currently has is very special.

When we have caregivers come out, sometimes we have to have a different one. Every one that we've had has been good. They were all qualified. They take excellent care of the client and see to all her needs. When they do that, it makes my life easier so I can do things like go shopping and take care of business. They're very helpful. They're very courteous if I need anything or have a problem. They'll get right to it and take care of it.

We have been doing adequate. I am very lucky to have the people in my life from BrightStar. I like the quality of people there.

BrightStar Care is a very pricy agency, but they're OK. They help him get around using his walker and they assist with his incontinence. They work for 12 hours and they charge $29 an hour. Some caregivers do a very good job, but some are a little lazy. The agency said that we should just let them know if there are any problems with the caregivers so they can rectify the problem, and they've been doing that with me. They're a little pricy, but I would recommend them.

They keep him busy and they do stuff that I can't do. They take him for walks. I think they should make sure their caretakers are more mature.

I liked that they managed the issues with my mother's medications. I like their communication, and they let me know what happens when my mother goes to the doctor. They have good communication, and have helped me when issues arise.

Right now, I can only have them come on the weekends. I'll eventually get them to come out daily and that will help because I won't have to come home from work at lunch everyday. They're on time, and they will ask questions if they need to. If they're unsure, they'll immediately call me. They don't guess or assume. It saves a lot of hassle.

My loved one is resistant to the caregivers, but I'm able to get out for three hours. I like that they are flexible.

We couldn't go to work without them. The caregiver is outstanding, and every time we call and ask a question, they are right on it.

They need better training. One of them brought a cold over here and gave it to me. Both of the girls that come are efficient and know what they are doing.
