fed up with poor care

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My friend is currently in this facility and although she said some of the nurse practitioners and CNAs are ok most are lazy and some are downright rude. They run out of her meds, the food Is often cold when served and the very large wound on her leg is supposed to be cleaned and dressed daily but sometimes it goes 3 or 4 days without being taken care of. She has complained of chest pain and they do nothing to find out what has caused it. She has congestive heart failure and chest pain could mean something serious is going on. I would never send anyone to this facility, they need a good shake down from the director all the way down the line of employees. I'm old school, I believe if you take a job you should perform all you duties to the very best of your ability and not just go through the motions just enough to keep the job and collect a pay check.

The rooms where OK but were not well cleaned. I and my son got very angry at the staff for being so lazy. My husband was a patient and was suppose to stay only a short while due to rehab on a hip fracture. They want answer the patient call lights. They allowed my husband to get undressed and go out in the hall and someone poured something sticky all over the floor.M yet to be able to review them. Don’t take your love ones to this dump of a place. It is a nightmare. He was out of his mind due to Xanax they were giving him so they didn’t have to do anything but let him sleep. When he would come around he would call me and tell me how they were treating him. He also pulled the bandage off his wound from surgery. They had no intention on putt8ng back on. My son went over there about 10:30pm and stayed till they rebandaged his hips. His leg and hip a swollen and now he is in the hospital at East Alabama Medical Center and is now a patient at Arbor Springs where I

This is the sorriest run NH I've ever seen. I'm a retired LPN that spent my career in NHs. The staff is lazy and don't care about the residents. It smells and the cleaning staff barely touches the rooms. It had no respect for residents dignity. It has multiple safety issues. Even supply closets are left opened where residents can get to otc meds. They are always short staffed and short on supplies. The nurses and aides are constantly on cell phones. They take over 30 minutes to answer call lights. One lady fell on floor and laid there over an hour before she got help. If you care about your loved ones take them to the dog pound before here they'll get better care.

I am a past client of this provider

Tallassee Health and Rehab smelled all the time. Every time we went to visit our grandmother, we always found bruises on her, and she's been telling they were mean to her. We had to go to emergency room because she fell several times. Other patients bullied her and pushed her. In fact, a woman came in her room and pushed her down. Her whole right thigh was broken, a broken shoulder, and foot. She's was 88 years old they did a hip surgery. She died 24 hours after her hip surgery. The doctors said it's because of her heart problem and her age. While they do have activities going on. On Sundays a church group would come and sing. Or they play bingo. My grandmother also had Alzheimer's, so she never participated much at all. I suggest that the administrator needed to be replaced, because the place always smelled and they weren't accurate about medical records, too.
