The room smelled of mildew. The food was horrible. The staff was very unfriendly. God help you if you have a problem. And, yes there were cockroaches.

I visited this facility

Rating the staff highly. My MAIN problem is with the parking, which may seem trivial, but is NOT! In the only visitors' front entrance area, there are six visitor parking spots and one for Disability. One of the six parking spots is normally occupied by the same (obviously) work person's car during the weekdays. The one "Disability" parking seems to be occupied by a car, daily, regardless of time of day (make your own conclusion). The building was, obviously designed with an entrance on the main parking area but you are barred from using that entrance. Consequently, in rain or shine or visitors' disabilities you are forced to trudge to the front entrance. For older visitors this is SUCH a chore. This may sound trivial, but I would advise against any patients, with older friends or relatives to find another venue! Opening the (obviously) intended main parking lot entrance would be SUCH a small thing to accomplish.

The food is horrible. Oftentimes I have come in to find that there is no protein on the plates vegetables and starches. It is nearly impossible to speak to anybody there at the facility, It is hard to get information about the progress of physical therapy. The population is diverse as far as the staff goes, many times the staff are speaking and creole between themselves and I have had issues with my family member feeling that they were talking about them

My mom now in a rehab facility- Wilton manner The lady in her room ( another patient) constantly bullying , harrasing my mom - playing loud tv till midnight, her son blasted music on his phone- polite requests to turn it down are met with lady telling my mom to shut up Stuff is not doing anything about it, when I asked patient to stop this I was told I can not talk to her - she need to be respected Apparently, they think my mom do not need to be respected! And she is doing despite the fact that we were helping her - covering when she was cold, calling nurse to get pain meds for her

CONS -Enormous 2”+ cockroaches running around my room -Broken, leaking toilets for orthopedic patients -Broken nurse call lights, broken ceiling light, broken TV remotes -Baby snake in the rehab room -Food unfit for human consumption on most days -Uncomfortable, short, hard, old plastic covered beds & pillows -Dirty floors and worn out 1980’s interiors -Complete lack of communication with management -Inexperienced phlebotomists PROS -A handful of wonderful nurses & CNA’s -Very capable and experienced PT’s and OT’s in the rehab center -Doctor M, who stopped in a few times during my stay I broke a hip/femur, and after 2 weeks at the hospital, I was sent to WMRC for short-term skilled nursing and rehab. A very disappointing experience due mostly to the poor management of the facility. Communication throughout is practically non-existent and because of that, the patient experience is dreadful. I would not recommend this place to anyone, and least of all for long term care. I believe they are severely understaffed given the profuse number of broken items in my room alone. With 147 beds in an old, worn out facility, one would need a lot more maintenance workers to keep it up. Food was frankly inedible at most meals. I had 2 bowls of good soup and 5 acceptable salads during my 15 days. I was fortunate to have family in town that was able to deliver meals to me when the institutional dinner meals were either ice cold, poorly prepared or indistinguishable mush. If you want anything healthy to eat, you won't find it here. I wish I had done much more research on this place. If you dig deep into review sites & inspections you'll find plenty of reasons to avoid it.

This place is horrible. The staff are very rude and nasty. If you ask them a question, they ignore you, they leave patients unattended. This is the worst place I've ever seen. The food is just horrible. If you're thinking about placing your loved one here, DON'T. Run the other way. No one answers the phones, nothing happens on the weekends. Totally dangerously understaffed. Just incredibly Horrible.

Food is terrible Nurses admistering meds have 3 inch long nails. God only know what lurks under them. Not very hygienic. They take forever to come when you ring. If you aren’t there as a family member your lives one will go without being bathed. Worst of all , they discharged my mother and had the equipment needed for home mistakenly delivered to them. They promised to deliver to me. That was Thursday , we are Monday today and still nothing. My mother hasn’t had a walker/ commode ( so I can’t shower her) and no wheel chair. This is disgraceful. Social worker has stopped returning my calls. Nobody knows where this equipment is that her insurance paid for. Terrible facility.

My father is staying in Wilton Manors Health & Rehabilitation Center. We chose that place because they had a four out of five stars rating. They are on point, and they are professional. The staff go beyond the call of duty. They are helpful, friendly, and very courteous. He does word puzzles, and he also has physical therapy for his legs. You get your money's worth there, and like I said they go beyond the call of duty. The place is close to my sister. She's only eight minutes away.

Your entry persons need to be more tactful and not disrespectful or rude, they seem to enjoy telling people how to wear a mask with authoritarian attitude.. I saw workers there with their nose sticking out of the masks yet they have the attitude do what I say not as I do. Some CNA's are very nice and will greet you, some have a discontent angry look on their face they should seek other jobs since it seems they are not cut out for that position. I pray they don't mistreat patients specially the ones that are bed ridden can't speak up. I would never recommend anyone to be there as a patient. This happened Monday 7/19/2021 tried calling to speak to the manager or someone I can discuss my concerns, no one answered the phone.

The entire staff is good, but the rehab and Dietary department were exceptionally helpful. I would call the kitchen if I didn't like what was sent to me and that will have a substitute meal ready. The rehab department was so gentle and patient with me even though I was sometimes difficult. I would recommend Wilton manor for your short term rehab if you are looking for a good one.

Some RN's and CNA's are repsonsive...others are not. Lack of communication between staff including DR. and patients and their families. Attitude problems and indifference are common. Food is awful , cold and as i said lack of communication among staff members as well. Who would serve an improper diet multiple times to people with gastrointestinal problems ? They do . Sausage, bbq, corn , beans, gravy. Stay away.

No one answers the telephone and in person, you cannot get any honest answers to questions either. The food has no taste and I would rather eat a frozen TV dinner. As far as cleanliness..........cockroaches everywhere!!! I can see they have redone some areas and from what I am seeing now, I cannot begin to imagine what t looked like before!

My aunt was at Wilton Manor. They were supposed to be helping my aunt get strong after her appendix burst. However, every time I was there, she was laying fetal position on her bed or sitting in the wheelchair in front of food that she wasn't eating. I didn't see any sign of anybody being helpful whatsoever. Every time I called after she was getting into rehab, they said, "Well, she really doesn't want to." I told them my aunt has dementia, so sometimes you have to be a little firm with her because she doesn't understand all the time. I never saw a change and my aunt never got any stronger, so I would never send anybody there again. The food was horrible. It was disgusting. I wouldn't eat it and neither would my aunt.

This place is awful! My mom is in there and she is getting the worst care. Her hand and foot was swollen and it took the nurse an hour and a half to look at it. She had medication ordered and they lost it. She also waited for her blood pressure medication. They are full of excuses and not caring. Please do not EVER EVER send your loved ones there.

A family member was admitted to this facility for rehabilitative purposes after a somewhat extended hospital stay. She was to receive assistance in strengthening her legs to be able to get out of bed and walk. She was in this facility for 6 weeks and on the final day she was still UNABLE to get up out of bed and walk. Every time I visited, the nurses or pca's or whatever they call themselves these days, were all standing around. I took pictures and do plan to submit them to the Department of Elder Affairs. I would NOT refer anyone to this facility for any kind of care.

I was admitted post spinal surgery. Assigned room with two beds, one bath. The bathroom was used by three people and in the day and 1/2 that I was there, it was never cleaned! Food was not fit to eat. Overall quality was miserable.
