My mom has been residing at Arden Courts in Delray Beach for the past year. This is a memory care facility and that is all they do. Her care providers provide a loving environment for my mom. Some of her caregivers are: Shedly, Islaine, Nirva, Missy, Mary B, and Carline. They care for her and all her daily needs like she was their own mother. They are warm, kind and patient. The care providers show up every day and do the best they can do every day. All these care professionals have been working for Arden Courts for many years. Have we had some bumps come up in the last year? Of course we have! The biggest benefit is that I can bring up my concerns with the Executive Director, Christina, either by email, phone or in person and she will get to the bottom of it, or at least explain to me what is going on. For me, it is how they go about listening to my concerns and when necessary, fixing the issues that I bring to the table. I go with my mother to the Activities Center where Marla is the gem of this program! Marla and GiGi both work hard every day to ensure that the residents sing, exercise and do other things each and every day. They have live music too! They even provide an afternoon snack! I live out of town and come to visit my mom every other month. I have spent 8 to 10 hours each day visiting with her. I know everyone who lives in her neighborhood and have interacted with all the residents. I find my mom to be clean and her hair brushed. She wears clean clothes every day. I have also observed the other residents to be clean. When a resident has an accident, the staff change the resident, and the clothing goes directly into the laundry room. I have observed the staff’s nightly routine of cleaning up my mom before bed every night. One of the things Arden Courts tries to do is keep my mom out of her room unless it is bedtime. This way they can keep an eye on her and monitor her to be sure she does not fall. Falling is a big concern for anyone who has an elderly parent. This is the third memory care home my mom has lived in. We are not an easy family since we try to keep good tabs on our mother and hold the facility accountable for caring for her. We remain happy with the care she is receiving at Arden Courts Delray Beach!

My Mother was at Arden Courts of Delray Beach , Florida for 3.5 years. I loved this memory care facility; it was home for mom. She absolutely loved everything and everyone there, and we had the most excellent experience with all of the staff, the administration, front office, nursing staff, caregivers, food service , entertainment, activities coordination, & everything!! I cannot say enough about her/our experience there...it was exceptional! I literally loved visiting mom there; often on weekends and weeknights, and they are the best in the business! Mom was a little stubborn about taking her meds and some things, and they found a way to get her to comply with love and attention. Christine is the best director ever! We loved everything about it, and I would do it all over again if I could. Mom loved her friends and family there!

I visited this community recently. We had not been able to tour due to the pandemic. I was extremely impressed when I entered the facility. The front office staff, including the Executive Director were amazing. The facility itself was recently renovated, smelled clean and looked very good. The care provided seemed to be wonderful, all the staff seemed to enjoy what they were doing. While this may not be the newest community out there, they far surpass anything I have toured in a while. Bravo to Arden Courts.

Had and impromptu tour. The staff was very nice. Touring the facility, there was an overwhelming bad odor in the activities room where people were doing a sing a long. When I asked why the odor, the lady said that she didn't notice it because they were used to it. She said the flooring is old. It was the odor of either urine or improper hygiene of the residents. There is just one shower per house, which was clean. The bedroom was OK. Food was brought over from the main AL in the front building. There were 2 choices for meals.

The best memory unit for someone who needs one is Arden Courts of Delray Beach. The residents can go outside on their own. There's 12 doors they can go in and out of wherever they want. They don’t feel like they are locked in, but they sort of are because there's a fence. It's gated, but you don’t see the gate. They have bushes there. So it’s a nice feeling of being outside without feeling like you are fenced in, but they are. They have staff that are very well trained, and they keep their staff. They have been doing this memory care facility quite a while, and they know what they are doing.

We had an incredibly positive experience with my mom. Arden Court is assisted living NOT one on one. If a person needs that kind of care they should seek another facility or hire a private aide who comes in for whatever hours is needed. The residents are indeed able to "roam around" but it is a totally safe environment for that and they are tracked every hour - twenty-four seven. The physical layout is amazing - so not like an institution with institutional odors. I consistently found the staff loving, good humored and attentive from the caregivers to the excellent director. Mom was there for over a year before she passed. Her last days were there as well as she wanted to be "home" (at Arden Court)

I visited Arden Courts and it was an amazing experience. The girl who runs it (I forgot her name), she was amazing. I was very impressed. It’s an amazing facility. It’s spacious, clean, and absolutely attractive. Its location is very convenient to malls, hospitals, and grocery stores.

If I could check no stars, I would. Despite the excellent marketing representations made when you visit this facility, things change quickly after admittance. Some of the aides are caring but are overworked, overwhelmed and under paid. Management and head nurse are not interested in resident's needs, only in filling beds and avoiding law suits. Whenever an issue with a resident arises, family is told to hire a private aide (at great expense) or find housing elsewhere. The layout of the facility is, indeed, thoughtful however the treatment of the most vulnerable residents is not. Please either look elsewhere or be prepared to spend approximately $8,000 monthly for private duty care in addition to Arden Courts' high rates. My mother and, as a result, my family suffered greatly both emotionally and financially during my mother's tenure at the facility. If you do choose to place a loved one here, please drop in unexpectedly at various times throughout the night and get a sense of what truly happens here: residents wandering the halls unsupervised, too few aides to manage and too few who care, and no senior management looking out for the health and well being of clients who do not have the memory capacity to let anyone know how deeply troubled an environment exists.

This is the cadillac of facilities for individuals with Alzheimers and dementia that are no longer able to live at home. The staff are well trained, kind, caring, patient and empathic. They give family members the same devotion and attention that they give to the residents. This is critical for a dementia specific facility, and they do it exceedingly well.
