My Dad (87) lost his home to Ian so he suddenly found himself in a position of making a tough decision. We called and looked at a few places when a friend told him about Brookdale. We got an appointment to visit and look around. My Dad and I felt at home the minute we entered the facility and it was mostly because of the caring staff. By the end of the tour my Dad was sure this was where he wanted to live. We cannot believe the size of his apartment, it is larger than his home was. He has so many friends now, he excercises, plays cards, and so much more. But every time I see or talk to him he is boasting about his meals. I can tell every time I visit he is treated like family. We are both so glad we found Brookdale and recommend it to everyone we know.

Brookdale College Parkway was a very nice place. They have a lot going on, but they just don't have any rooms in the price range I'm looking for. They don't have any studios. The place was nice and clean. They showed me where the pool and the gym were. They have a library and different rooms for social events. The meals are included. I had a sandwich and a hamburger, and it was good. The service was good. They have a very nice staff. The facility was clean.

Brookdale College Parkway is only independent living. I liked it fine. The lady who met us was really good and very helpful. The location is fine, and the facility is fine. She did an excellent job of taking us around for a tour, showing us the facilities, and all of that. She was first-rate. I have absolutely no concerns or problems whatsoever with it. She's just really good at her job. She invited me to come for a meal, but it was not convenient at that time. She promised to get back to me in the next day or two, and then I'll see about scheduling a visit for a meal. It was well maintained, the people were friendly, and smiling, it was a good place.

I toured Brookdale College Parkway. I like the location. I like the grounds, it has a nice view. The apartments were very nice. I met some of the residents. We had a very nice lunch. I know some of the people who live there, and overall, I had a very good impression of it. The location is very good. It's close to everything you need. They have banks, doctors, and supermarkets. It's just very convenient. The staff was very pleasant, and very nice to talk with. They have a pool. They have some outdoor games and things. They have a lot of activities going on all the time, day trips, and transportation. They have everything that you could want.

I like Brookdale College Parkway's cottages. They were nice. It was clean, but it was just old-fashioned. The staff was very friendly. The woman that gave us the tour did a good job and they had good amenities. They also had a gym and a pool that were nice.

My parents had lived in Brookdale College Parkway. The only reason we left there is because of the storm, but that was a very nice place. The staff and everybody were awesome there, but they're independent living. The sales staff and the office staff were 5-star. I never had any other experiences with any other associate in the place. They never complained about the food. They have bingo, and fishing, they have a pond in the back, and they got movie nights, drinking nights, and happy hours. Being independent, they had larger rooms at cheaper prices than the other assisted living and/or memory care. The prices were nice and the rooms were very nice. They had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and floors with carpet.

Brookdale College Parkway is our first choice, I sent a deposit for my dad, but we're on a waiting list. Everybody was very friendly, Holly, especially, she went out of her way to help me, was very nice, had a good, positive attitude, and was proud of the place. And then she took a lot of pride in what she does and she was very personable and everybody was nice. The rooms were brand new, the ones they showed me had just been remodeled, and still had that new carpet smell, and fresh paint. The whole facility was very clean. All the people that were living there were very friendly and happy. I didn't taste any food, but it looks like they had a very good menu. The dining area was very nice. It was modern and it looked very cozy, and comfortable. I just walked through, but it was desirable. All they had available was a two-bedroom. It would have worked better anyhow if I visited him for a week or two. And I think they set up an additional person to live there, it would only be an additional thousand dollars a month. He has a dog and they're pet-friendly also. He's got a little Yorkie. They have numerous activities that they offer. I don't know how much he would take advantage of it. They have a workout mainly sitting in a chair, or they do physical therapy every day, that's offered to them, and they have a nice swimming pool, and an outdoor area. I think they have a happy hour every night which is kind of nice. I think for what they offer, it's pretty reasonable for what you get. I think it was around $3600 a month. That included cleaning service and cleaning the linens and the towels and also coming in and cleaning the apartment once a week. So I thought that was good. Um, I think it was a $500 additional charge for the dog, one-time charge non-refundable. But that's to be expected.

Brookdale College Parkway was very nice. The lady who toured us around was very informative. She sat down and spent time with us, took us through, and showed us a lot of stuff. The apartments were nice. They were big enough. It's got a friendly atmosphere and I think it would be good for my dad, because there are all kinds of activities. There were some ladies doing puzzles, there was a lake and a pier where he could go out and fish, and different card games. I also liked the idea that they had a list made for transportation of different days and areas that they go to for those that don't drive anymore.

I'm going to move into Brookdale College Parkway. It has the largest apartments that we had seen, and the price was OK, that's why we chose it. Besides, I know the area. Holly was exceptional, she was really great. I think I'm going to be very pleased, besides, my contract with them was for a year, and this is the first experience that I have ever had living in a place like this.

Brookdale College Parkway was a very nice place. It's an older building, but it's very solid concrete and they seemed to have a very good professional staff. Everything seemed to be good and I just liked the whole physical setup, It was not a long distance between the rooms and activities. I actually had lunch there and met some people. The food was excellent and everybody seemed to be very happy to be there. In the apartments, you have your refrigerator, stove, microwave, and the shower. They also have a pool, a courtyard, a computer room, game rooms, and a spa where there's physical workout equipment in it. It was good.

We really like Brookdale College Parkway. The villa over there was beautiful, and I would have really loved it. However, my husband uses a walker, and the problem is they don't have the doors that are set up for anybody with wheelchairs or anything like that. He would have a heck of a time getting in the bathrooms. I was very surprised at that, but that's probably how they were built just before that law was put in that these places had to have them. They were wonderful though. They offered all meals, and they had a little bus. Everything else was wonderful. If you can't get in the bathrooms though, then it's not good. It's independent living. In case you'd need to go into assisted living, they would assist you into another building of theirs that was assisted living because they don't have that there. It was right next to a college, which was another real plus because they have a lot of programming and staff at the college. It would just be wonderful to live there, but they need to open up their doors more. We had lunch there, and it was really great. We would have loved to live in their villas. The facilities inside of their building were a little bit smaller than what we were looking for, as well as the doorways. I don't know how people are managing that. The food was wonderful. It was fantastic. You get breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's all-inclusive. The only thing is ladies cannot wear shorts, ever. You have to have your knees covered at all times when you sit down, so it has to be long pants or dresses. For dinner, you have to dress up. The men have buttoned shirts and slacks and what have you, which is kind of nice. It's kept up really well, but it's older. It was built, I think in '91. The inside of the building is older looking. They have lots of different rooms where people play cards. It could be private if you just want 4 or 8 people playing cards. They had a game room, a bar room, and a bistro. They have lots and lots of things and activities. The staff was wonderful. They're very, very nice and very informative. We spent probably four hours with them going over everything, and they couldn't have been nicer.

I went to Brookdale College Parkway to play cards with a lady who lives there. It was great. She had reserved a room for us where the group played cards and then we had snacks. There was a staff member that showed us around all of the rooms, and she was very helpful and very nice. It was extremely clean and the rooms were top of the line. The lady loves it there. Even though she doesn't drive, but they take her to wherever she wants to go.

I visited Brookdale College Parkway, and I got all the information I needed from them. They were very pleasant and professional. They gave me all the details, and they followed up with me. It's a very nice place, they were accommodating, and I have only good things to say about them. From what I saw, the model apartments and the facility inside seemed very nice.

To me, Brookdale College Parkway was ideal because they have villas, and that's what we would like instead of being in an apartment. They offer just about everything. With the virus now, their dining room is not open per se, and they're cooking their meals there and delivering them to each individual personally. They have activities but it's very limited. They're still practicing distancing, so anything that they do is limited. The staff that I talked to were very efficient, and they seemed to be very accommodating.

We chose Brookdale College Parkway for my grandmother because it's closer to where my family is moving to. They definitely had that independent factor while also being able to provide safety and support to her. They have activities and transportation. She can no longer drive, so that's very helpful for her to have those. They're also providing meals since she's cooking less as she's aging. The staff is very friendly, positive, and upbeat. They don't have too many activities, but they try and do the best of what they can do and with the interactions that they can have. She has her own little house within this cul-de-sac, which has its own security and safety. They have pretty decent meals. They get to choose from three different meal options, so there's variety. Due to COVID, they can't have large groups or gatherings, but they have a closed network station where they play movies, music, bingo, and things like that.

My tour with Brookdale College Parkway was very good. It was nice. They had a pool, and they had upstairs a little library with computers where they could have computer time. The staff was very nice and toured us where the residents eat their meals. The dining area was good. The lady that toured us was very knowledgeable and helpful. We saw several residents.

We found Brookdale College Parkway for my mom. We chose it for the size of the apartment, the cost, she loved the appeal of the place, the friendliness, and they actually gave her a sample dinner to take home, which she said was good. It was very nice, friendly, and she liked that she was surprised at the size of the apartment, and really liked that.

I lived in Brookdale College Parkway. One thing I found better over there was that I had someone walk the dog, and it was much more convenient and much more timely. The apartment was very good; it was a two bedroom, two bath. There were more activities and there were more active people over there. The food is about the same except they had a buffet breakfast where you could just go in and go down on a line or walk around the room and get what you wanted to eat. Then you could sit down in that room or go anywhere else you wanted to go and eat. The food was a little bit better.

I liked Brookdale College Parkway a lot. It was very well maintained, and the people seemed very happy. They had a community event going on that day, and they seemed to be having a lot of fun. The staff I met was very polite. It seemed like a nice place. They had a library, a card room, a lunchroom, and a van for transportation.

We were very impressed with Brookdale College Parkway. They provide meals, and they have a pool. The staff member was very informative. The one and two-bedrooms were extremely nice, had a sun porch or lanai, and were surrounded by windows. They served us hotdogs and hamburgers, and they were very good. The facility was extremely well taken care of.

Brookdale College Parkway was very good and nice. They had lots of activities and they were very well-staffed. They had different sized apartments, and each one had a sun room, which is helpful because everybody can look out the window and see what's going on. They had many activities and even invited me to go and join in some of their activities. The staff has invited me to try the food. Instead of having set times for the meals, they were in the process of changing it to be more like restaurant dining at any time. They have different sizes of apartments. You can have a studio, a 1-bedroom, or 2-bedroom if you want more space. Each one has its own little kitchenette. Even though they prepare your meals, it would be nice to have your own space with a refrigerator, stove, or microwave in case you have a guest or something like that.

We had a very nice tour of Brookdale College Parkway. It's a possibility because they have cottages that are being renovated. It's in an excellent location, though the apartments were a bit dated, but the people were lovely. They had a whole range of activities, a pool, and a beauty salon. The staff was very lovely, very warm, knew all the people that stay there, and very nice. They work with a chef who has a very good reputation in the community.

My parents were in Brookdale College Parkway for six months. They loved it and their apartment. My parents liked the activities; my dad got started in the men's group and was in chorus. Most of the work staff were very caring, and the food was great. However, they shouldn't have been placed on the second floor; I ended up taking them home to my place. They were told they've got great cleaning staff, but you can't clean a 1200 sq. ft. home in only half an hour.

Both my Dad and my maternal Grandma were/are residents at Grand Court. My Grandma moved in 6 months before my Dad. She loved it from the beginning and made friends in no time When my Dad moved in, she took him around and introduced him to everyone. One thing you should know about my Dad is, 6 years before he moved into Grand Court he had a massive stroke. He lost his ability to talk clearly and gets his words jumbled. No one cared. Everyone went out of their way to make friends with him. My Dad has his Masters in Philosophy. He had also written a book. Once people find out he was a writer, they wanted to read his book. For the first 8 years that my family lived at Grand Court, I visited every day. The staff loved that I was there every day. I became friends with a lot of them. If there were any problem they knew they could come to me and I knew I could get all the details of how my Dad was actually doing. Over the years I did see the facility go down hill. They lost their kitchen manager and that really messed things up. Meal time became a nightmare. Long lines and messed up orders. Over time that smoothed out. Sadly, in 2013 my Grandma passed away. Many residents and staff made the grieving process more barely.. they were eager to share stories of their time and friendship with my Grandma. She was loved by all. They also wanted to let me know they were looking out for my Dad. My Dad is still living here. He's happy and has many friends..I would give Grand Court 4 1/2 stars, I moved away 4 years ago. Unfortunately, I've only been able to go see my Dad once since my Move. I'm told by others who have been able to visit him that he is happy and healthy .

At Brookdale College Parkway, the units were big. We were very impressed with Beth, the lady who took us around. She answered all of our questions, was very informative and very helpful, and followed up after our visit. Every member of the staff was helpful and very friendly, down to the cleaning ladies. They all said "hello" and introduced themselves. They had laundry services, an outdoor heated pool, a billiards room, a library, a couple of exercise rooms, and a chapel. They will take you to your doctors' appointments and shopping. There's always something going on, like card games.

Brookdale was a very nice, organized, and very friendly place. The people inside seemed happy. I would have had my mom move in, but they did not have laundry facilities within the apartments. Other than that, it was very wonderful. The staff was very friendly, inviting, educated, knew what they are talking about, and caring. The grounds were very nice; they had a few acres that you can walk around and do exercise on. Everything was clean and maintained well. It’s off the main road and hard to get to the location.

We lived in one of the duplexes at Brookdale College Parkway. It was really nice, and we liked it a lot. What we didn’t like was the dining situation and the fact that they represented themselves as an independent living facility but had an awful lot of Alzheimer’s patients in there. I have nothing against Alzheimer’s patients and I might be one myself because my mother was and her sister was, so I know what it is all about, but I didn’t want to be forced to eat with people who ask you the same thing over and over again. There wasn't any private eating between my husband and I; you ate wherever they sit you, and the dining room was really crowded. Everything else we liked about it. Overall, they were very nice people, and I would not give them a bad mark at all. One of the things that irritated me was that house cleaning would come in once a week and just dab here and there. They told me that they didn’t move anything because they were afraid they’d break it. To me, that’s an excuse not to clean and that was disappointing.

I was very impressed with Brookdale. The rooms were so neat, tidy, and light. The people treated me very well, answered all of my questions, and showed me everything I wanted to see. We like Brookdale College Parkway (Formerly Grand Court Fort Myers) very much. We had a meal there, and the food was good. It's close to the college -- which offers a lot of facilities -- and the Barbara Mann Hall is there. It was comfortable and a little bit larger, and the apartments were nice. It was on a busy thoroughfare though, and there was limited space for walking. Unless you went over to the college campus, there really wasn't any good place for walking or any good destination to go, but the community itself was lovely.

My mom is in Brookdale College Parkway. The experience has been very good. They have a wonderful restaurant, and the staff is absolutely wonderful. The people there are very caring particularly one woman by the name of Cathlyn that seems to run all the people between all the activities and everything else. She is a wonderful person. My mother is on a cane, and now 8 years later she is just going along. She plays bridge. They have many activities and many outings. Now, she needs a little bit of extra care because she is 89, and the Brookdale living people come in, take her down for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and give her medications. There is also a nurse there Monday to Friday, and that nurse is also on call on the weekend. I feel very safe and comfortable with her there.

Grand Court Fort Myers was a very nice place. They have very nice apartments. The facility was very clean. The dining area was very nice. Everything about it was nice. The people were very nice and very helpful. They explained everything. They gave me an opportunity to ask questions. They showed me around the facility. The showed me the various apartments that they have which were one and two-bedrooms. They explained the financial part of it very clearly and plainly. Just generally speaking, it was very informative and helpful. I would recommend that others go see it and speak to the people.

I talked to the people at Grand Court, and the whole thing was very impressive. It was very jolly, and everybody seemed to be jolly. It was reasonable, and it was first class. They have a physical therapy room, exercise room, and of course they had standard exercise procedures, Tai-Chi, and aquatic because they do have a lovely pool. I know they have all sorts of gatherings for one reason or another and various clubs you might be interested in. The visit was very pleasant and confident.

I did visit Grand Court. It stands out because of the size of the rooms. They were quite large and accommodating. I thought that was very good and liked it. Grand Court would be my first choice. First of all, I have a house where I think one of my children will be living in, and Grand Court is extremely close to this house. So the location there is very good. The second thing is, as I've said, the large rooms that they have. I think they are fair-priced.

I went to Grand Court that I didn't care for at all. To me, the property wasn't cared for. The grounds there weren’t very well kept. I had a feeling that if it spills over from the landscaping, it's going to be in the rooms as well. The people seemed to be very much into themselves. They did not seem to be quite as friendly. The person that brought me and my daughter around was very nice.

Grand Court was very nice. We talked about whether my mother has dementia and if she has had any issues with wandering away. This is a concern because I don't think the facility was fenced all the way around. It was near water so it had water views as well. The neighborhood is a good one and it is conveniently located next to a number of places like Chili's, Burger King, and either CVS or Walgreen. There are several churches and it's close to a university, too. I was pleased with the cleanliness. I was pleased that the staff knew the people who were living there; they acknowledged the residents and they were very friendly to them, too. They seemed to be aware of any issues and how they were doing. The facility has a salon. Their place was clean and personal. Their clients seemed to be active and moving about. I would recommend this place. I liked it.

I was treated very nicely at Grand Court Fort Myers. I enjoyed the community, but I just wasn't ready to move into independent living at that time. They have a swimming pool and they have a lot of day trips in and around Fort Myers which looks very interesting. They have movie nights, Bingo, and discussion groups. In fact, there was a discussion group in the dining room during the morning we were there. I thought it was a clean community. I didn't see anything that needs to be improved. The young women who were running things were very cheerful and upbeat. The residents who lived were quiet people.

My friend, Lynn, was at Grand Court Fort Myers. It had very nice front desk people and a check-in counter. They had a very nice dining room, nice activities, nice library, and a nice coffee social room. It's got a pretty pool out back. It was just a beautiful facility, and its location was very beautiful. It was right next to a bank and a little hotel. The staff was absolutely wonderful. They had a care department where they watched the individual tenants that were there and made sure they were happy and that they were accorded with the right level of needs and stuff. They were very, very good, and if anything was a little bit unusual, they'd call me and ask me questions. In Grand Court, they were rehabbing and maintaining, and the lights lit up and music playing, it was very nice.

Grand Court Fort Myers is terrible. It's very old, looks ancient. It’s not well maintained, and the facility is not all under one roof, so people have to walk outside to go and get food. They have a lot of stairs. It's very dull and not accessible. The staff seemed nice. We were able to eat there, and the food was fine. I think they need to better maintain the place.

We visited Grand Court Fort Myers, and we liked the location. The facility was very clean, and rooms were very nice. The one we liked had two bedrooms and two bathrooms, with a beautiful sunroof. The dining area was very beautiful. We had lunch and dinner, and the food was great. We had no problems with the meals. They also had good activities. The staff worked very hard, and even the manager and his wife, who both worked in the office, came out at times and helped serve coffee or tea. The residents were doing very well and seemed happy. However, the price and deposit that we agreed on with the person who gave us the tour were not accepted by the boss.

My father is a resident at this time. My mother was as well until her death. This facility is all about collecting money and doing the least for you the resident as possible. It is very over-priced and not as friendly as their PR would let you believe.

We had a really nice dinner and we looked at a couple of the rooms at Grand Court Fort Myers. One lacked the like to be desired not because of the room, but because the lady that lived in it was a mess. The bed wasn’t made and she had stuff hanging out the door. The girl that took us should not have taken us to that room because that would turn you off to begin with. Of course it’s not the place, it’s the woman that lived there, and we understood that. But the actual room that we went to, the one bedroom, was beautiful. There are pros and cons. We went on Valentine’s Day and they were having a party. The food was delicious and there was a guy who was a good singer. But I did not like the room where people meet and my other half did not like the halls. They looked like they were old and smelly. The room and the halls needed a little uplift. It would've been great for us because our doctors are right there and CVS is right there. We go to McDonalds for coffee and that’s right there too.

My husband and I are now staying at Grand Court Fort Myers. We are in one of their villas, which is over 1400 square feet with a little backyard and near a little lake. It is as cute as a bug with a lot of storage area. They are in the process of putting a new air-conditioning unit, although the one we have is still working fine. We have three meals a day and the food is excellent. The only complaint I have is that the meals are so close together, breakfast is at 7:00 to 9:00, lunch is at 11:00 to 2:00 and dinner 4:00 to 6:00 and we have to be finished by 6:00 o'clock and I can't actually eat that fast. But I talk to them and they are interested in extending dinner till late 7:00. The standard dining room is slightly small and they are in the process of improving and extending it. They have cleaners who come every other week. They also have apartments and the people there look happy. However, we are only 72 and the average age of the people there is 90. The management is very down to earth, very friendly and if we have any kind of problem, they want to know about it. Although we are independent, they have check in button on the wall. Every morning they want to know if we are okay. We are super pleased with them and we recommend them to others.

Grand Court is a senior residential community Located in the heart of Fort Myers, Florida. I have been a resident here for almost 4 months and have nothing but praises to report. The staff and services are beyond expectation. Individual apartments give us a feeling of freedom . Grand Court Fort Myers, Florida Brookdale Senior Living

Grand Court have nicer apartments. The food is tremendous and the people are very nice. My mother and I visited the place and everybody is happy, everybody came up and talk to her. We had lunch there it was just a happy place. They have everything, they do everything. They take the residents out, they have a library, they play cards, they have dances, and everything else. They provide three meals a day. It has a big living room; it has a sun room, one or two bedrooms, a whole big kitchen, and a bathroom. They're full right now, so we gave a deposit and we're waiting for an apartment to open up. It's very nice. I would recommend this place.

This place is an independent living facility only. It's an old building but very nice, clean, and well kept. However, it's not spacious. It's located at a busy road in South Fort Myers. But at the back there are little separate villas where you can take a walk. If you need assisted living, they are affiliated with Sterling House. I was interested in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath accommodations. However, the accommodations don't include washer and dryer. The dining room in this place is lovely. You can dine there, and it includes 2 meals each day. The people in this facility were very friendly.
