Employing this agency was a huge waste of money. They are highly highly expensive and charge excessively. Save your money for an attorney. These people will keep your elder in entirely unsafe environment. Then charge you a fortune.

Danica and AFTA care for my elderly aunt. I'm responsible for her (power of attorney et al) but live 1000 miles away. AFTA is incredibly reliable and caring. They monitor my aunt's health, but go much further, such as purchasing sundries that she asks for. I have total confidence in them, and am thankful Danica and her staff is there for my relative.

The owner, Ms. Danica, knew beforehand what my needs were going to be and she set the wheels in motion for everything to run smoothly. It's a very difficult time when you are attempting to care for your loved one, and don t know from day to day what is going to happen. I've been married for 47 years and it is not easy to think clearly when you see your mate deteriorating before you. What a relief she and her organization have been for me. I lived on the other side of the country from my mother and was trusting a live-in sibling to care for our mother. Over time, I realized that my mother was deteriorating and that her finances were be fraudulently used. After trying to get the state to intervene I was forced to resort to a court mandated guardianship to "rescue" my mother. I contacted Danica S. at AFTA, based on a recommendation from a trusted friend who knows the industry. Danica and AFTA literally saved my mother's life. They were able to move into the situation with legal and authoritative backing, take charge of my mother's finances, monitor her care and eventually mandate the placement of my mother in an assisted living facility, in spite of my mother's damaged financial situation. AFTA then worked to restore my mother's finances, based on her remaining assets, and even completed the process (really ordeal) of securing VA benefits for my mother, based on my deceased father's military career. (I had started parts of this overall process remotely, but with no experience and doing so from such a distance, I was having a very difficult time of it.) Finally, after one year, AFTA enabled a truly happy ending to this story, by facilitating the process of making me my mother's guardian and getting her moved across the country where I could care for her directly. AFTA is an extremely professional and experienced organization and I'm truly thankful they were available to get my mother to a safe place. I fully recommend AFTA to anyone needing help with a similar situation.

I have known Danica S. for years and personally observed her service in guardianship cases. I can attest that her knowledge and service places her among the very best of those professional guardians practicing in Brevard County. Danica and her team are kind and caring, efficient, organized, and skilled in the practice, and the depth of their knowledge and experience creates the opportunity for creative problem-solving, and often, problem-prevention. I have the highest regard for Danica and her team.

As the owner of a home health agency, of paramount importance to our operation is integrity, that of our employees and of the people with whom we share business opportunities. Our agency has been a provider of services for Danica and Advocates for the Aging for nearly all of the nine years we have been in business. Danica and her staff are extremely knowledgeable of the regulations as they apply to their specific areas of expertise, they are experienced and insightful in dealing with issues, and they are also passionate, yet compassionate in handling their clients on a daily basis. We have worked with several other guardians in the area and find that Advocates for the Aging and specifically, Danica, are most congruent in a high level of ethical and professional standards. I would heartily recommend Advocates for the Aging and owner, Danica.

My mother's guardian, Danica, literally saved our mother's life and did what she could to help our family heal from the psychological, emotional and financial abuse one member of the family was inflicting on our mother. Ms. Scuderi and her team abide by the highest ethical standards and even though those high standards can sometimes be inconvenient (and will certainly cause people who are trying to exploit an elder to stomp their feet and make false accusations) you will be grateful that you have such a trustworthy guardian in place. Ms. Scuderi is both warm and caring as well as tough and uncompromising when that is called for. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Our mother would have died an angry, bitter old woman were it not for Advocates for the Aging. Their intervention has led to our mother returning to her true, good-natured and loving self. There is no easy way to end one's life, but Danica and her team have made my Mom's end of life scenario as happy and comfortable as it is possible to be.

Advocate for the Aging is one of the most responsive, caring and appropriate elder care service providers our office has had the pleasure to work with. Danica Scuderi is the heart and soul of AFTA. Ms. Scuderi truly has a calling to assist the elderly in any facet of care needed whether it is a geriatric care assessment or all the way to being the professional guardian. Our firm has always been able to rely on AFTA to quickly and accurately assess the situation with an elderly person. We highly recommend AFTA for any situation you encounter with an elderly citizen.

I am my father's guardian but I am 1900 miles away. I needed someone I could trust and depend on to mediate my father's healthcare needs. Advocates for the aging has far exceeded expectations. They are also quick to respond and caring. They sincerely care about my father. They intevene with hosptalization and share extensive history and experience to ensure quality care. I higly recommend Advocate For the Aging. You can't go wrong with these folks. They are a first class organization.
