I like Sunrise at Montgomery Village, but they didn't have the apartment size that I'm looking for. The dining area looked excellent there. The community fee I thought was a little high in comparison to another place. For an older place, it's really in good condition, and I was impressed with the dining facility. The menu looked very nice and very well organized. The community was very nice, but it didn't have some of the things I was looking for. The staff was excellent. The gentleman who showed us around was the sales, and he's been there for 20 or 30 years. He had chances to move, but he didn't want to because he loved it there, so that's a good thing to know. I think Sunrise at Montgomery Village was wonderful for most people.

I toured Sunrise at Montgomery Village for my parents. All the staff seemed very, very friendly. They were doing some remodeling, so that's positive. Some aspects of the building itself seemed a little dated in that the ceilings were kind of low, which kind of made it feel cramped. The living space was adequate, but again, it was a little dated. They have a nice outdoor garden area.

I toured Sunrise at Montgomery Village. It was excellent. That is where I had planned to move until things changed in my personal life. It's congenial. It was clean. There was lots of space, including quiet spaces where you could disappear with a book. The person I met was very, very friendly. She was extremely friendly and efficient. She provided whatever information that was asked. We sort of bonded. The food was good, well-cooked and flavored. There's also a snack bar in case you don't want to wait for a specific meal.

The Sunrise at Montgomery Village was nice. The lady that gave the tour was very friendly. The facility was very clean. The rooms were nice, but they were all smaller than what I have and it was too expensive to live there. They took me outside into a courtyard and it was pretty out there. The flowers were gorgeous. I was invited back to a luau that they were having. I took my sister with me and it was very nice. They had pork, I had shrimp, and then for dessert, they had a pineapple upside-down cake. There was a gentleman that I had met during the day who came and talked to us. He was one of the staff there and he was friendly, too. Even the person at the front desk was nice.

I like the location of Sunrise at Montgomery Village. My friend is familiar with that location. It's easy to get to. He can drive, so it's a good location. It's near shops and things. Excellent location and that's what I liked best about it. I also like the price. The staff were outstandingly friendly because we are prospects. The menu looked wonderful. It seems like they have adequate facilities for someone in my friend's situation. But I was just told what they do. The amenities were fine. There was a nice library, a nice well-laid-out dining room, rooms to sit in, lovely outdoor spaces, and a kitchen kind of area where you can come to and snack all day.

We found a place for my grandmother and it's Sunrise at Montgomery Village. They had the best price points for all the things that they offer. They offered a lot in their independent care package that makes it almost like assisted living, so that's what sold me. The staff members are responsive and friendly. They seem to know all the residents well. They've been more than accommodating in this kind of last-minute move to get my grandmother in there. The food looks fine to me, and it smells pretty good. As for activities, my grandmother has not participated in any of them and probably won't, but when my brother and I visited, we were like, 'I wish we had something like this,' and we're in our thirties. They have bus rides to the casino, they have musicians coming to visit, the masseuse is coming in for Mother's Day, and they celebrate birthdays. There is a lot of variety of activities, games, and transportation to things off-campus that are exciting. Everything is clean, and it's easy to find. My grandmother's apartment has a beautiful layout and a beautiful view. The laundry rooms are well-kept and clean. The dining area is well-kept and clean, too. Everything is nice, clean, and tidy. The value for money is fantastic. It's the best value for that kind of care that I've seen in this area.

Sunrise at Montgomery Village was excellent. We found the staff to be extremely professional, very caring, and very knowledgeable. It was a very good facility. The individual rooms where seniors would reside were cheerful, but so were the common living areas. They had a lot of space, and a lot of light, and we thought they were very attractive. They had wonderful dining areas. They had areas for people who wished to watch television. They had small libraries and various activities that they could do either in-house or there would be, from time to time, programs where they would be taken out to various entertainments.

My tour of Sunrise at Montgomery Village was excellent. We were given the tour by the marketing director, and she was very nice, very thorough, and very pleasant. She gave a lot of information and answered all our questions. The rooms were nice. It's a nice place. Good staff. We saw empty rooms. They're spacious. This was the only place that had a two-bedroom unit available. We saw the dining area and that's also very nice. It's clean, nice, and very homey. It doesn't look like an institution. People are pleasant. It's welcoming. They have a whole list of activities. They have singing, exercise, and bingo. I think the thing that's good about that place is that it's reasonable.

We toured Sunrise at Montgomery Village. It was very good. The facility was a little dated, it needed to be updated, to be refreshed. The staff we met was very good, we only met one person. It was not quite as active, but it was fine. They have a dining room on each floor, but I didn't find it as nice as the one we chose.

Sunrise at Montgomery Village was great. We really liked it. It was very close to our home. It's a beautiful setting. They have many different places for the seniors to sit. It's got a beautiful dining room and there's lots of really nice gardens and hourly activities for them to be involved in. The room that we saw was a beautiful suite. It was a one-bedroom with a kitchenette and living room. The staff was very, very helpful, very friendly, and very welcomin. They have a very, very nice upscale dining room. The chef was extremely friendly. He came out and explained all the different options that the seniors could eat. The menu had very interesting dishes, from steak to salmon to other options that are more veggie-friendly. It was a really nice, clean, and top-level place. It's just that the price that was given to us was not within our budget.

I was able to visit the Sunrise at Montgomery Village. They looked at my finances, and we looked at what I could qualify for. It was very nice. It had a wonderful atmosphere, but it didn't have the continuing care aspect to it. The staff that I met there were lovely. They were wonderful. It's small, but it's a very pretty place. Since they're small, they don't quite have the amenities that the place I chose has. There were a lot of people out and about. I saw the setup for dining, and it was a lovely dining room. They also have game rooms and a workout area. It's a more intimate setting.

We have chosen Sunrise at Montgomery Village for Mom because it's very comprehensive. They understand the care of a person who has memory issues. The environment is nice. They have lots of people helping, and some people have been there a long time. I felt the warmth and the security. Plus, it's a mile and a half from my house, so it makes it easy. I'll feel much more comfortable having her there, and I know she's going to get some stimulation where she wasn't before. Maybe she'll like it, maybe she won't, but they'll meet her where she is. The staff knew exactly what they were doing. They were spot on, at least for me. I didn't even know what I was hoping to hear from them, but when they talked to me, they do exactly what they were doing, so that was a very secure feeling. My mom is going to have her own bedroom, which is a nice-sized bedroom. There's a great TV room and a lovely dining room. They cook the meals there in the building. There's variety, and they're willing to give her what she wants. They know what they're doing when it comes to memory care.

We're going to choose Sunrise at Montgomery Village because my mom said it felt like the right place for her, and it has the right feel. She liked the outdoor space because she could sit outside. She met a couple of the residents and they made her feel welcome, and it just seemed right. She liked the size of the apartment and the way they made dinner that met her dietary needs. It felt like home. The staff that gave the tour was fantastic, he's been so helpful throughout this process. They were having a food tasting, but they had to postpone it so we're going to be going this week. My mom is very happy that they have a bus that takes them shopping to a couple of different places, a couple of days a week. They have a lot of activities and movies, and different games like Rummy Cube and card games. They also have a knitting/crochet club which is perfect for her, they have several different activities every day. It's not as new, bright, and shiny as the other place we toured, but my mom likes the fact that it wasn't as bright, shiny, and new. She didn't like the places that were brand new with all the bells and whistles, that's not her style. So that's what she liked about this. It's a little older and I think it could use a little bit of updating. It's clean and I saw them doing COVID protocols.

I toured the independent living at Sunrise at Montgomery Village. It was a nice place, and they were quite thorough. They told me what I would pay and the things that I would pay for. The people that work there seemed very knowledgeable, and the facilities were very clean. It seemed like they really care about the people who live there. The layout was fine. The apartments were small though, and they weren't configured quite great.

Sunrise at Montgomery Village was horrible. It was old, it needed remodeling, it was not in a nice location, and it was expensive. I would never put my mother there. She would be in memory care, but we toured the whole building. They didn't seem to really ask that many questions. They offered activities and transportation to places. I didn't like the physical facility, but the people were nice. It was originally a hotel that they turned into a senior citizen facility. The rooms seemed old and it felt like an old hotel, but we know people who live there and love it.

The staff at Sunrise at Montgomery Village was very friendly. They're condos converted into assisted living, so they were really nice. The only drawback? There are only two elevators and it's a long distance to walk. They have numerous activities. They take clients out shopping and to events in the Washington area. They were playing bingo when I was there. The menu and the dining room were both excellent. They have a dog, birds in cages, and fish. It was a friendly environment. There were a lot of areas for people to move around. It was very clean and very modern. It was not that large, so it had a homey atmosphere.

Sunrise at Montgomery Village was very nice, but a little ways out. They had a quasi-independent living/assisted living apartment that was nice, and it was in the market right now. When we went in, there was a really small lobby area with an elevator. It had a nice eating and dining area, but it was missing a sitting room. The staff was excellent, but Im looking for a more upscale place than that.

My brother moved in to Sunrise at Montgomery Village about six weeks ago. He's got a little 1-bedroom with a little kitchenette. He's happy as a clam. He's got some issues with his eyesight and it's real easy to get around. He's on the second floor very close to the elevators but also close to the stairs. They have a very good program. He gets his morning and evening meals. He's made some friends and the staff is very accommodating and very supportive. They serve two meals a day. He's got a little kitchenette, stove, and refrigerator, and he fixes his sandwiches or soup. They've got different outings to museums, shopping centers, and grocery stores. He likes to watch a lot of TV. He does his own laundry, but they provide once a week housecleaning, and periodically they'll come in and refresh the paint. They keep it real nice. It's worth every penny.

Sunrise at Montgomery Village's room has a living area and a bedroom off to the side. It's not that long, but it's wide. The staff was friendly and paid attention to their patients. It was pretty good. The rooms were nice and clean. They seemed down to earth and it was an older community.

I was interested with Sunrise at Montgomery Village, but it was too far away. The residents looked happy. I really liked the dining area for the independent living because it was the first thing I noticed. The place was organized and clean. The independent living was more luxurious, but the assisted living was short of that.

I thought Sunrise Montgomery Village was OK. The layout was nice; they really try to update it. The staff seemed caring but a little hurried, a little busy. The rooms were a larger size, but I think it’s also because it was an older building, so the layout was a little larger than the newer facilities, but it seemed nice. The food was restaurant quality; something you would go and order at a regular restaurant. They were average, nothing was outstanding. They could improve on the staff to client ratio because there seemed to be more clients than staff.

We saw Sunrise at Montgomery Village. That was nice. We felt that it was my mother-in-law’s type of environment because it was a high rise and a little bit more modern. It had a brand-new wing for the memory care, which we really liked. They had their own courtyard that they could go out in on their own, and she really liked to go outside. So, that would be really good. The way it was set up, they each had their own bathroom although they shared a shower. It was like she had her own privacy and her own bathroom even though they shared a shower. That seemed to be a good set up for her personality. All of the people there were really nice. We met the chef and one of the salesladies. The chef packed up some treats for us to take home with us, and my husband ate them and said it was really good. They had a big board with lots of activities. They were setting up for something right before we left, but I did not know what it was. They had a little sitting area for coffee, so people could gather there. It was pretty nice.

Sunrise at Montgomery Village was very nice, and I had a good feeling about it. I really liked the people. The rooms were small. I could see my parents being there. I thought they had done a great job. However, I would probably take the stove out. I did not eat their food but everything looked very inviting. It looked like the people were enjoying themselves, and I liked the way the staff knew everyone’s name. It made it feel like home.

I went to Sunrise and I think the population may be older than my husband and also it was not a locked community and he really can't go out on his own because he has cognitive damage from a stroke, bu they did say that it was secure. I talked to the manager and he was extremely helpful. They have small studio apartments but they're nice; they have a kitchen. It was sunny. They have outings, they take them places. They also have performers. They have regular housekeeping so they keep the place very clean.

My grandmother is at Sunrise at Montgomery Village. We really like the community so far. It's just that her needs have changed slightly. She was originally under independent living, and now she has moved to assisted living. They're putting in a new memory care wing, which looks really nice. They do have dining rooms for all the assisted living on every single floor, which is really nice, so that it's not everybody trying to scramble for one dining room. The only problem that we have is they only have two elevators and they run kind of slow, so sometimes you can be standing there waiting for an elevator for 6 to 10 minutes. The food is really good, and the staff is really nice.

We moved my mother to Sunrise at Montgomery Village. It used to be a condo, so it doesn't look like a normal Sunrise place. It looks like an apartment building, but it's actually for the better because the rooms are bigger. When you walk in, there is a good sized living room with a nice window and a small kitchen. It's a decent sized bedroom, and there is plenty of storage area. The bathroom is OK -- nothing special. The staff seemed to be pretty friendly. I am familiar with them because my mother-in-law was in there years ago. They have discussion groups, and they take people places. They have a bus that takes them to the library and shopping. I am very satisfied with it. They get three meals a day; I did have one meal there, and it was good.

We lived in a senior facility called Sunrise of Montgomery, this facility has an arrangement with Life Matters, and Life Matters has people on staff here. They are here early in the morning, and they are care providers so when I have some difficulty with my wife, I can call and get help from them, and they will arrange somebody. They have both levels of care, but we are in the independent facility. We have been here about 8 months now I think, and it's going fine. We have a two bedroom apartment, full kitchen, one bath; the second bedroom really doubles as an office for me. I have got a single bed in here, and we have a living room. We’ve got a gym and an outside recreation area. It’s a very nice facility. We have one meals here; they prepare meals for us. We are very happy with it.

I picked Sunrise because it was not huge. My sister doesn’t walk well, so I thought there wouldn’t be so much walking to get wherever she want to be. The staff is friendly, and the food is outstanding. There happened to be a two bedroom apartment and they have done quite a lot of things, there is a place here where there is a winer,y so they went for a wine tasting, they take them to mass in the morning on Sunday, they have ice cream parties, they had bingo every night, arts classes, and jewelry making. I think it’s a great place, and I would recommend it.

I moved in on June 23rd. I'm at Sunrise. The first thing was the cost. I can't say it's affordable because it is still expensive for me -- I have a fixed income, but it is more affordable than the others. I like the spirit of the residents there. On the whole, they're largely respectful of each other. Most of the time, people are polite and they're interested in each other. The staff largely treats everyone like family as if they were related to the residents. I have a single room: a bedroom, a living room, a kitchen, and a bathroom. It is a good size, and not teeny. I have been using some of their furniture and slowly moving in with my own while having theirs removed at the same time. It is cleaned once a week by staff. Everybody has Bingo and trivia. Today, a piano player came to play a concert. There are exercises; there's dancing; there are dominoes. There is a Shabbat for the Jewish people once a week. There are masses and prayers for all denominations. The bus is available for us to go to our churches on Sunday as well as for rides to see the areas nearby, to go to the doctor, or to go shopping.

We enjoyed visiting Sunrise for the second time. The facility is well cared for and there was plenty of activity going on. The Independent Living folks seem to have lots to do. I did not like that the Assisted Living residents were segregated to a floor away from the independent living. It does make sense from some points of view BUT facilities that manage to integrate these people seem to be more appealing to me. The rooms were adequate. But I would personally prefer more open rooms. I worried that my father could stay in his room and no one would ever check on him unless he didn't show up for a meal. The location is very nice and I would consider staying there myself as a independent living resident; but for assisted living, I have my reservations about it.

My aunt's only been in Sunrise for maybe one month. Everything looks good. So far so good, and they're very attentive. The rooms are fine. Nothing outstanding. They're adequate. They do have a gym. There's nobody in there to supervise, so I feel like that's a little bit dangerous for her.

We have visited Sunrise. I've been there twice and each time they've been very, very nice, helpful, very understanding and very compassionate. It just was out of our financial ballpark so we couldn't go there. The residents seemed happy and the staff was wonderful. They have a studio and a 2-bedroom and the one that we saw was the 2-bedroom and it was very nice. I like the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the facility.

My experience with the assisted living provider was all around pretty good. The staff was very friendly and did all they could to make my uncle comfortable the whole time he was there. They also did a good job at accommodating to mine and my family's needs when we went to visit. They seemed to genuinely care about all of the residents there. Also the facility itself was overall well kept, occasionally some things would be dirty, but as a whole it was clean most of the time. The environment itself was usually cheerful so it was a very welcoming place.

I was surprisingly happy with this facility. I had always had a negative opinion of assisted living facilities because of horror stories I had heard on the news. My first visit to Sunrise, I was delighted by the elegance and decor in the lobby. I felt that this was a classy and upscale living facility. The apartments themselves were small, but clean and bright with large windows. The cafeteria was clean, neat and looked new. I enjoyed that there were landscaped places to sit outside. I enjoyed having tea there with my grandmother. There were often shuttles waiting outside of the main doors when I would arrive. These shuttles took residents on shopping trips and on entertainment outings. There was always something to do for the residents, whether trips by shuttle or activities planned in house. In the elevators were flyers for activities and social events happening nearly each evening. My grandmother, to my delight, never complained about the facility to me. She seemed to enjoy the workers and nurses that she came in contact with. I always liked visiting her at Sunrise Apartments, as it felt fresh, clean and welcoming to me. I liked that there was a sign-in for guests at the front desk. This helped me to feel that my grandmother was secure and protected while she lived here. The other residents I encountered seemed friendly and well-adjusted. I always saw smiles on their faces and they always recognized and said hello to my grandmother.

I would like to give Sunrise a 5 star rating because the people there are so friendly and caring, but there is a cleanliness issue that needs to be addressed, and there have been errors in my mother's care, particularly with toilet care and keeping up with changes in medications.
