My friend moved into the assisted living of Palm Cottages a month ago. When we initially met with the sales rep, we were told a couple of things that were not true. The staff and the nurses have been great, though. My friend has told me she enjoyed the food, but they serve a lot of pork.

- Special Comment: Our unique design sets us apart from the competition. We don’t have long mazes of hallways and giant dining rooms where residents just become another number. The cottage-style setup provides a more intimate, cozy setting. The food is made from scratch and you can smell it cooking throughout the day. When you live at Palm Cottages, you feel like you are staying at a bed and breakfast.

I toured Palm Cottages. They were very nice people. They're just as good as the other facility, but they're not quite as close to me here. Other than that, they're about the same. The facilities were very clean. They had dedicated people for each little cottage. The staff members were great. They had a lot of activities going on.

We went to Palm Cottages. They have a different style of philosophy. They have 14 or 16 smaller rooms that go around the perimeter of one large central room, which also has a kitchen. As far as the rooms are concerned, they were smaller than the other places that we looked at. The grounds looked to be well maintained. The staff was very nice and helpful. We did not sample the food, but each cottage had its own kitchen. We just didn't feel it was really what we were looking for. They had bingo and other games and they had card tables. You have to leave the building where your unit is and go outside in the weather to get to the amenities.

My mother resided here for over a year. She started off in Assisted Living and then had to move to Memory Care up until she passed away. All of the staff were caring and compassionate. They took great care of my mother and I am glad I made the decision to move my mother to Palm Cottages.

Mom was at Palm Cottages. It was a fantastic community and highly recommended for people who need level two or level three care. The staff was very helpful. Her private room was small on purpose. It had a bathroom and a bed, and that's it. The rest of the cottage is shared amongst all of the other people there, about 13 people in a cottage, and so it forms a community within that cottage. There are about a dozen different cottages which then form a larger community by going into the clubhouse. The food that they served was pretty good. The dining area is in the center of each cottage, large enough to accommodate everybody in that cottage. I saw monthly birthday parties, club gatherings, and games.

Palm Cottages was nice. I like that place. They had their own little cabin thingy. I think they were kind of small. I would have liked to have taken my mom there, but it's too far from home. The staff were very caring about the clients. They take them on walks and stuff like that. The facilities are good, except their rooms were kind of small. I like it a lot, but it's just too far away. Everything seemed clean. I did get into one room. It was very clean. It was nice in there because it was empty.

My tour at Palm Cottages was OK. The rooms were good; there's enough space. The community's particular two houses for memory care are good enough for memory care people to get used to. It's also clean. The staff was very helpful. I only met a couple of people from the staff, and they seemed good too.

We visited Palm Cottages, the people were great. The place was very clean, professional, and very modern. The place has a positive and uplifting atmosphere. They have a beauty shop, all kinds of activities, and they have a very nice common area for the residents. Everything was very clean. They also have transportation to different things which was good.

I've already moved my mom into Palm Cottages. I chose it because of the layout and a recommendation from my neighbor. She moved in on November 24th. The rooms are clean and neat. The staff is very attentive, understanding, and seemed to be very caring. My mom has said that she's happy and that she's comfortable. They have activities but my mom is still on a 14-day quarantine, so they're not letting her out of her room for 14 days. I can't give any feedback on that particular aspect of the facility yet. I can't go in the room personally, I can only peek in the room from the window and visitation is 30 minutes, scheduled only from 10 in the morning to 3:30 in the afternoon. That part is not that great, but I think every facility is in the same boat. The staff, so far, they've been great, everybody that works for them has been great. The value for my money is very good, compared to the other places.

Palm Cottages seemed very nice, but the person who showed me around acted like she was inconvenienced. She was bored with having to show me around and didn't really show me anything except one cottage. She was glad to get rid of me, so I didn't like it at all. I went into one room.

My uncle lives in Palm Cottages. They have calendars up in the hall and up in each cottage. Each cottage can hold eight people. They have movie nights and they have a small bus that takes them to the mall. They recently had a trip to the zoo. I like the cleanliness and the friendliness of the people there. There's never an odor when I walk through. The people are always out and about. They have a TV in the main cottage where the dining area is. It is more like family oriented dining and it looks like an oversized living room. He has a TV in his own room. They're more like rooms rather than apartments. There is a chef that comes and cooks breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It is a little expensive, but it is really nice.

My mom was a resident in the memory care unit. The staff was lazy, unfriendly and unprofessional. The staff that are responsible for the residents are also responsible for doing laundry and cleaning the rooms, so they are not always able to be present to work with the residents, and they count the staff who cooked meals as part of the staff/resident ratio. While there there was lots of staff turnover, including the administrator. whenever we expressed concerns the standard answer was that we will do more training for the staff.

I moved my husband to Palm cottages. I like it because they are in cottages of not more than 14 residents, they have their own kitchen, and they eat right there. In the memory care they always have two CNAs on staff, on staff nurses come to the cottage as needed, and they work with hospice if it's appropriate. They have activities in the assisted living portion, and also activities specific to the memory care facility. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. The part I don't like is they move the staff around the cottages; they don't stick to one cottage.

Palm Cottages was smaller, and my mother's room would be too small. Otherwise, it was very nice and very well kept. The caregivers were very friendly, and the people I spoke with were wonderful. They were working with the residents and had a cooking class and card games. They kept a very close eye on the residents.

Palm Cottages was excellent. Sandy was a very personable lady and showed us the cottages, how they are positioned, and how large the rooms were. We can bring some personal furniture. They took us to the main building and showed us the cafeteria, where they eat, where the recreation is, and the different transportation. They let us know what was available if the person needs to go to the doctors and what types of activities they are getting involved with, so it was pretty complete. I was very pleased with the cleanliness and the personalities involved. They seemed to care about the patients.

I really liked Palm Cottages. The place was absolutely gorgeous, and the people were tremendously nice. It would have been great for my dad to be there. The room was a little small like a regular-sized bedroom. They had a community living room with a TV and community dining. They have a chef come in and prepare meals every day, and they get to know the people. The grounds were beautiful. Everything was well manicured. The whole place was just astounding.

Palm Cottages of Rock Ledge was impressive. It was divided into little houses and cabin-type apartments. If you needed emergency personnel, they were in another building, so I didn't think it was a very safe place. The staff was great and checked on our parents during the night as well as off and on all day. If I was a senior living on my own without any kind of medical difficulties, then it would be lovely. The food was delicious, made up of homemade meals with meatloaf, mashed potatoes, gravy, and veggies and Jell-O or ice cream for dessert. It's very good. The dining area is restaurant-style where you take a seat and they wait on you between certain hours. When we were visiting, they put us in a private dining room with my parents, my brother, his wife, and a friend of mine so we could have a family get-together. That was dinner. I have been there when my folks were eating lunch and the food looked fantastic. It was fried chicken and baked potato. There's just weren't any spices. My mother was having a fit because there wasn't any salt or pepper on her food, and they don't put salt on the table unless you absolutely ask for it.

We visited Palm Cottages. It was totally different and had eight separate cottages with 12 to 14 bedrooms for residents in each cottage. They had their meals and activities in the cottage. That concept would fit some people but not others. There were quite a bit of interaction in the cottages that forces the people to be more social. The physical exteriors were very nice and well laid out in a semi-circle. Inside, they were OK and had a big kitchen and a living room with the bedrooms all around. The staff seemed very efficient and very professional.

I liked Palm Cottages of Rockledge a lot. It was very clean, intimate, and different with cottages that housed 14 people in each. You get to know your neighbors very well because there's a smaller number to meet. Each cottage had its own chef and somebody who oversaw people that lived there. I was impressed by that. There were plenty of activities that were in a centrally located building, close and too far to walk. The rooms were great and of a good size with nice bathrooms and a little community sitting area with a big TV. I would recommend it. They also had a party room and a movie room.

We did not choose Palm Cottages for my dad because we did not like the way it was set up with single bedrooms surrounding the general common area. That’s not what my dad wanted; he wanted an apartment all to himself. Here, it was just a bedroom and everything else was shared. The building was old but well kept. The staff was accommodating. The visit was fine. It was just not the place we were looking for.

We visited Palm Cottage, and we liked the way it was set up. It was like little houses. They had lots of very nice common areas where they actually cook the food in front of them. It was very nice, but a little bit too far away. It was a small community. I thought they had five cottages, and one of them was memory care.

I went to Palm Cottages of Rockledge for a visit. It was really nice, and if I had to choose, I'd choose this one because I really like it. It was in a good location. The people were very nice, and it was really clean. I like the way it was setup with different houses. They were also very flexible about when you could move in and also about if you want to move back out again. The outside was nice. I haven’t eaten there, but they have one cook for two houses.

I was very pleased with Palm Cottages. I admitted my husband there. It is more family-like residence. It is kept very clean. My husband has dementia, and he does have other problems, but they assist him with just about anything he needs. I am happy with the care he gets. The price is right. The place is nice; it is pretty. My husband has his own bed; he carried the things he wanted over there.

My mother is in Palm Cottages. The reason that we choose it is because of area and the staff. Our experience has been great. It has been very good. They take care of mother very well. It is a good experience working with them. They have everything from bingo and card playing to bridge. There is a garden area outside with a gazebo, and they do exercises and stuff out there. They have movies like 2 times a day. They take them out, and it's really good. The room actually is a little bit smaller. The food is cooked right in front of them.

The staff was very professional and caring at Palm Cottages. The rooms were roomy and homey, and it had a living room, television, and dining area. My mom said the food was excellent. They have cottages, and every cottage has 12 rooms and a cook. They have a dining room and a living room -- just like living in a home. They have a movie theater, game room, and a big meeting room where everybody gets together. And I feel the facility was safe.

Palm Cottages had like rooms compared to other places where they had apartments. The dining area had a kitchen where they prepare food. They had activities like ice cream parlor, and they had a pool table. I enjoyed the whole place.

We found Palm Cottages for my mom. They have 10 cottages and each one has a living room, a kitchen, and a library. They have 10-12 bedrooms on the outstretch of that. There's an average of 10 bedrooms to a cottage. There is a full time staff on each one and then there's a cook for each one. They have movie theatre there, they do bingos, they have different events. They have transportation to the doctor or to different places. They go to the restaurant once a week. Now that she has been there for several for weeks, she has made friends and she is doing things. She is also going to the movies. We have been very pleased with them.

I visited Palm Cottages. It seems like a very nice, well-organized and clean place. There's multiple group homes throughout the facility. They seem very nice and accommodating except they couldn't offer certain caregiver requirements that my grandfather needed, so it wasn't a good fit.
