Evergreen Senior Living-Orland Park seemed a little depressing. The entryway wasn't as nice and people were just kind of sitting alone in wheelchairs, not interacting with each other. I didn't get a good vibe mostly. Other than that, it was fairly new and it was nice. The lady that gave the tour was also very nice.

My mother-in-law has moved into Evergreen Senior Living - Orland Park. It has been a good experience. Friendly staff. Everything is good over there. The community is friendly and clean. The people inside seem to enjoy themselves. I haven't seen anybody not with a smile. It's nice that they can have a snack counter that they can go to throughout the day. They have a couple of common areas. The only thing I would suggest is that, in the first common area where you first come in, there should be some sofas or something. Because people come in and want to sit next to their mom and their dad, but they can't. That's the biggest room in the whole senior facility, and it's all separate seating. It should be more like a living room type of atmosphere. My mother-in-law is a Catholic, and she would like to go to her services, but I don't think there's a lot of opportunity for religion over there. Outside is nice because you don't have all that heavy traffic and no factories around. It's quiet and peaceful, and when you go in, it's clean, and it's got a happy environment. However, they have a lot of turnover in staff. I think they're limited on the helpers over there. As for the activities, other than family members hanging with their parents and doing things, I don't see any staff members out there putting anything together. The money is brutal, too, so I can't give it that high value because anywhere you go, it's just outrageous. But it's pretty nice compared to everything else that's going on with the prices.

We put my mom in Evergreen Senior Living - Orland Park for two weeks. They gave her her medicine, they took her down to her food, and they laid out her clothes for her. They had activities there. They had a Hawaiian evening. The first two weeks, we kind of spent a lot of time with her. We were keeping my mom more active than them. It's our first time putting her in an assisted living place. Everyone was kind of worried, so we wanted to make sure she was good, so we kind of spent a lot of time with her and took turns going and coming. The staff were very understanding, very caring, and very nice. There's nothing negative I can say about them. It's all positive. Of all the facilities I visited, they have the best room. It's a 700-square-foot room. It has a walk-in closet, a big bathroom, a big shower and bathtub, a little kitchen area, and a little dining area. It's the most spacious room in any facility, I think. It's new, so that was kind of encouraging for us. I was able to put a queen-sized bed in there for my mom, and it fit perfectly. Their food was super. They'll take her down to eat, or they'll bring her food to eat. And if she didn't like it, they'll bring her something different. They were like really, really nice and easygoing. There are always snacks out, there's always coffee out, there's always cookies, soft drinks, and water. They always have those available for them.

My grandmother is in Evergreen Senior Living - Orland Park. It's a home-type environment. It's very cozy. The meals are appealing. They keep the residents pretty engaged in the memory care unit and I feel that they are very well taken care of. So far, no issues. The staff is very engaging with the residents. The accommodations are very nice. The facility is extremely clean and very comfortable. You have to provide your own furniture, but it's adequate space for what's needed. The closets are spacious, and the bathrooms are spacious as well. She's in a studio with a kitchenette. They have a beauty salon that's accessible to both the assisted living and the memory care unit. They also have a courtyard that's secured for the memory care unit.

I've had my dad for a short stay at Evergreen Senior Living - Orland Park. We were very happy with it, my dad has no complaints. It's a newer facility, around five years old, so it was new and everything's updated. The people seemed to be loving and caring and everything seemed to be in order. The staff seemed to be very caring, and there was a nurse who made sure that my dad takes his medication. They seemed to be very thorough and it was a beautiful facility. During the few times I was there to visit my dad, they have groups of people doing activities. They had a TV in a common room where they were singing along to songs and doing different things for memory care. They're working with the people there, so they weren't just sitting in a chair doing nothing. They weren't any more expensive compared to anyone else, they were the average price. They have a beauty salon available on the premises and they have an outdoor terrace that they can go out on.

Evergreen Senior Living - Orland Park was nice. The rooms were adequate. The place was nice. The food was good. I think the care was good. They had a popcorn ice cream buffet so that you could go in and help yourself at any time. They had a library and a computer room, and they had nice amenities. It was fairly new when my cousin was there.

Evergreen Senior Living - Orland Park is very good, it's just that you have to be able to do your own transfers there and it's hard for my mom because she's getting weaker. It's a real issue and everybody's trying. She is in their assisted living. The staff is very friendly and she's very satisfied. They have bingo, games, and movie nights. Around the holidays, they would have barbecues where they invite families over to put up tents and stuff for fall. It's nice.

We toured Evergreen Senior Living - Orland Park. They were nice. They answered all our questions. It was a nice place. The rooms were nice. Everybody seemed to be nice there. It had on-staff nursing and CNAs, and we liked that. My sister liked it and I was OK with it, but when it comes down to it, we have decided on the other facility. It had amenities. We had only seen one type of room. It was more like a studio. It just seemed like it was more cluttered. There were more rooms there than this place had, and they had second and third floors, too, which we didn't like.

Evergreen Senior Living - Orland Park was very nice. We thought it was clean, very personable, and the people were friendly. Their rooms were very nice and it didn't look like a nursing home or a hospital room or anything like that, but it looked very homey. We just saw their media room, dining room, barbershop, a little store that they had, and their exercise room. I thought the place was great. The staff was wonderful, very, very informative, and very friendly. Everything was clean and in good shape.

The people at Evergreen Senior Living are really responsive and really good. The staffing ratio is really good. The environment is beautiful and gorgeous, and they try to keep them busy with activities. They had a big family barbeque where they invited everybody to. They also did physical exercises with balls. I've seen them doing mass and singing. My dad's room in memory care is huge. He's got his own bathroom, you bring in your own furniture, and the room has a sink and refrigerator so it looks more like a home environment. The food is really good and my dad loves it.

My husband moved in to memory care at Evergreen Senior Living - Orland Park. The place is very clean, nice, well-designed and decorated and comfortable. The staff is taking care of his needs. The dining area is very clean and bright. They vary the activities and they have a full calendar with things that they do. They pretty well try to keep them occupied most of the day. They have a lot of activities ranging from exercises, to art projects, to games. My husband's room is very nice and spacious enough. It's fairly bright and it faces east so it's got a nice morning light coming in.

We have moved my mother into Evergreen Senior Living. It is a very small, personalized care. The rooms are beautiful. The food is wonderful. All the employees are very nice. I highly recommend them. My mother has a 1-bedroom that has a nice-sized living area and a small kitchenette area with a small refrigerator, cabinets, and nice lighting. The view is beautiful outside. There is a small pond outside her window. There is a walk-in shower. There is no lift. It also has a fold-out seat. It is very nice. Her room is 500-square feet. They also have 2-bedrooms, single studios, and 1-bedrooms. The place is also very close to my home. They have exercising everyday, movies a few times a week, bingo three times a week, and cards the other days. A couple of weeks ago, they had cruise week. The staff members are always there to make sure that people are getting up, moving around, and going outside. They have a beautiful outside area with grills and play yards for people to bring their kids. It is very nice. The price is in line with everywhere else. I looked at several places, but this one is great.

Evergreen Senior Living - Orland Park was very clean, very warm, and very bright. There were fireplaces all around. It was welcoming. I loved their apartments because they had a little kitchenette, but you had to go through the closet to get to the bathroom, and that's the only thing I didn't care for. They have Bingo and for the Catholics, they have communion and they have a priest come in. They seemed to do a lot of activities. They also had a beauty parlor.

This facility is so beautiful! Every time I pass Evergreen Memory Care I am amazed at how this facility adds so much to the community. It draws your eyes to the beautiful landscaping and cleanliness of the grounds. I have heard such wonderful things about Evergreen from friends who are thinking about placing their loved ones in such loving hands. They have nothing but great things to say about the delicious food that the residents rave about and how kind the staff is!! I would recommend Evergreen to anyone. Keep up the good work!!! I am definitely keeping this facility in mind for my parent when the time arises.

My visit at Evergreen Senior Living was very good. The staff treated the residents as family there. Food looked fantastic. They had a theater, a chapel, and an outdoor park for young kids that come and visit. They did activities regularly and a talent show that I sponsored. My father's 13-piece brass band came in for a concert that night.
