Brookdale Hoffman Estates felt small. The apartments were small, too. Otherwise, it was nice and clean. The staff was nice. I just felt kind of cramped in their apartments when I toured them. The amenities were the same as the other place, but I didn't feel comfortable there. They have a pool, and they have a restaurant. They have a nice-looking dining room.

I visited Brookdale Hoffman Estates. There were a lot of residents out, and everybody seemed very friendly. I loved the back area where there's a pond and a walking area, and there were several balcony areas where people could sit or eat. It was clean, and the apartments were very nice. I didn't like that the two floors shared a laundry room. They don't have any patio doors or any kind of balcony in each apartment. They had a workout area, physical therapy, and occupational therapy available. The meal plans seem very good. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, welcoming, and very articulate. She was a joy. She answered all the questions we had, and she was very encouraging and upbeat. I liked her a lot.

I was able to tour Brookdale Hoffman Estates. The place was very nice, but they didn't have any openings. I can't think of anything I like least about the place. It was quite nice, like the amenities, and looking at what they had for the menu. The staff seemed very nice. I spoke to a couple of residents there and they said that they liked it and they're very happy there. That wasn't solicited; they just offered that up. The staff member I spoke with was very friendly and very knowledgeable. She was extremely knowledgeable. I actually learned some things, not only about their facility, but facilities of this kind in general. This was my first time doing anything like this. It looked like there's such a large variety of things to do there. None of them would really apply for my father because he is 98 years old, but for somebody who might be younger and a little more active, it looked like there's quite a number of things to do there. They had a salon. They had a courtyard. They had a cafe, and apparently you can eat outside in good weather. They had a crafts room, and they had a library. They had all sorts of things.

My sister is at Brookdale Hoffman Estates. We are very impressed with two things. One, with the physical facility. We find it to be a first-rate facility, but more important than that, we're very impressed with the people there. Everyone is very caring, kind, patient and helpful. We like both the facility and the staff. I have eaten there on two different occasions and I can tell that they're very well-fed. My sister does little discussion groups and playgroups where they throw beach balls around and have some fun with them. They have entertainment that comes in. They have concerts right there in the facility from time to time. It's very impressive.

My mother is currently a resident residing at Brookdale. The staff is very accommodating. It's getting very expensive with yearly increases and not updating apartments residents currently occupy. All in all would recommend Brookdale for a place to live.

I have lived at Brookdale Hoffman Estates since June of 2022. I enjoy the activities they put together for us, especially the off-site destination trips to local restaurants and stores. The staff is very kind and everyone knows your name. They onsite entertainment is really good too, we recently had a fire juggler that was amazing! The food is excellent, big portions and lots to choose from. The Monterey chicken is my favorite! I would highly recommended Brookdale Hofman Estates to other seniors looking for independent living.

My family member moved in almost two years ago. I have not seen him as happy as he currently is in quite some time. The staff at Brookdale has been great. His 1 bedroom apartment is just enough for him. He enjoys the meeting his friends for dinner. The food is good, but he’s said under seasoned. He has taken advantage of the barber shop, banking services, doctors and many other services Brookdale has to offer. The common areas are clean and well kept. The in apartment cleaning service is helpful for him. I highly recommend this Brookdale location.

Brookdale Hoffman Estates is a beautiful place, and it has a fishing pond. I thought it was perfect for my brother but he doesn't think he needs help. He thought it was too expensive. The staff was very friendly, very knowledgeable, and gave us a good tour. They offer everything, but the price is the problem. There's a dining room. The place was very clean and it didn't smell.

I had a very good tour of Brookdale Hoffman Estates. I was able to see all the different areas. The staff was very knowledgeable about the building. They showed me 2 rooms, one was a vacant room and one was a model room that was set up with furniture and decorations. I saw some residents in the game room playing a game and some had just finished a painting class. One of the residents was showing her painting off. I saw a library, a salon, a laundry room, and a storage facility.

Brookdale Hoffman Estates is a very nice facility. There seems like a lot of activities. The residents seem very happy. There's a beautiful outdoor area next to a golf course and a pond. The apartments look very nice and seem reasonably priced. The staff who took me around was knowledgeable and nice. She answered all our questions.

We're leaning towards Brookdale Hoffman Estates. The first big, big plus is that this facility is right across from my mother's hospital and her doctors. The location is ideal. As far as the facility itself, they offer breakfast every day. They have a choice of meal plans of 20 or 30 meals per month. It works well, and they seem to have independent living. You can purchase ala carte some of the necessary services that may apply, such as helping out with prescriptions and bathing. The rooms seem very efficient. It should suffice for all her needs. They offer the necklace or bracelet for falls. They have a program (I think it's called, "Are You OK"), where they can tell if the tenant has left their unit daily. If they don't leave their unit, then they call just to do a wellness check. Then if they don't answer, they'll knock on the door. That feature is important, too. They do have a beauty shop, and that's important for my mother. They have a fitness area and a library. I'm not so certain that she'll use those features, but they are available if she chooses to. The staff was caring and friendly. I would be happy to have my mother in that environment. The facility is sufficient and clean. The dining room is very clean, very open, and pretty spacious.

Brookdale Hoffman Estates is a beautiful facility. It was nicely kept up. The food and people there were very nice. I liked it. The person who gave me the tour was very congenial. She was not aggressive in selling. She let me experience everything and showed me everything. So it was a very pleasant experience. The dining area was very clean and warm. The help was very caring, congenial, and efficient. They had many great activities. It's not a stale environment. It's an entertaining one. The activities were very invigorating, as far as I remember. They did not have laundry in each unit and on every floor.

We really liked Brookdale Hoffman Estates, but then Mom started to wander out of the building and she started to get the sundowners. One time, she got out of the building at night and they saw her on the cameras, but that was a really nice facility. They had a lot of activities, and they had the beauty shop and a really nice atrium. The dining room was really nice. The food was great. I would recommend that for assisted living. They were a little pricy, but it was worth paying that while Mom was there. They had the doctors' offices right in the building, like podiatrists and regular medical doctors. It would be nice if they had a little swimming pool, but I realize that would be putting them at risk for injuries and whatnot. Otherwise, it was a really nice and clean facility. They have bingo, exercise classes, they would have entertainment come in, and they have church. They have the little buses and they could take them to church, to Walmart, or the bank.

Mom lives in Brookdale Hoffman Estates and it's wonderful. They have lots of activities for the residents. The facility is very well-maintained. They have a little workout area, a beauty shop, an outdoor area, programs, transportation, and doctors that come to the facility. They also have Walgreens that delivers medication to them free of charge.

Brookdale Hoffman Estates was very nice, and the staff was very informative. The apartments were good, but I would recommend they all have a walk-in shower. The room the staff showed me had a walk-in shower. They had puzzles and games. They showed me an exercise area, a restaurant, and a beauty salon. I saw a patio out the window. It was very clean. They have transportation to different stores and grocery stores.

Brookdale Hoffman Estates was beautiful. It is the best senior living option for people looking for senior living for their parents, who are still independent yet need some support. They have a 24-hour doorman. They have restaurant-style dining. The rooms are beautiful. They have a lot of activities, which I like best. They have independent and assisted living intermingled into both. So depending on what level of care your loved one needs, it depends on how their apartment is furnished. They all have granite countertops, a living room, a bedroom, and a kitchen. They all come with a step-in shower, safety bars, and an integrated seat. I don't think my dad would be unsafe in his apartment because of all the safety features that are thoughtfully integrated into that design. They even invited us to bring my dad to see the facility one day and have lunch. It was the best tour of all. The staff was caring, able to answer all my questions, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. He showed us all of the amenities that are included. He also followed up after our tour. Their menu was the best because your loved ones could pick whatever they wanted, and it was expensive. There's even wine. It was like going to Las Vegas, which overlooks a golf course or some sort of nature area.

I toured Brookdale Hoffman Estates. I have nothing bad to say about it actually. It was beautiful. The girl that took me on the tour was just fantastic. It's really more like a resort type atmosphere. It was just fabulous. I have no complaints. It's where I was trying to get my parents to go. It was fantastic. The staff was just amazing and so nice. It felt like vacation every day there. The residents seemed happy and the staff. As she was touring, she did not encounter anyone that she didn't know what their first name was. She was fabulous. They have a gym, a salon, a gorgeous backyard with a walking track, a pond, and a nice party room if you wanted it. They had physical therapy in the lower level. It was great.

We saw Brookdale Hoffman Estates. It offered all of the services that my mother needed. It was within our price range. However, we felt that it was too large for her, and it looked more like a hotel than it did a senior living community. The staff members were very, very nice, and very knowledgeable. They showed us a one-bedroom apartment. They had a variety of rooms. What we were really interested in was the safety button, so if she was to fall she would have a safety pendant, and the meals. Actually, what I didn't like is that you had to pay extra for three meals a day, so they only offered breakfast every day and then 20 meals a month. She could prepare them, or we could pay extra for her to have meals every day, or we could have food delivered. We also thought it looked too much like a hotel.

The Brookdale Hoffman Estates is excellent in supportable services, cleanliness, dining, activities. The administration is responsive and superior. My mother's apartment was roomy and well appointed. The fees are very competitive. Certainly the residents receive the best services in the industry in our families opinion. We had a great experience at Brookdale.

My father is living in Brookdale Hoffman Estates and he is doing much better. He's in the assisted living on the seventh floor. My parents were on the fourth floor, but when he had his stroke, we had some more issues. He's in the middle stages of Alzheimer's, so it's progressing, but right now he's doing fine with Brookdale. We had a few incidences with him, and we are getting concerned because they're not a memory facility. They were in independent living and they moved to the seventh floor, which is assisted living. It's been very good. They've been very helpful to us and to my parents. My mom's with him, and they're letting them both live together on the seventh floor, which is very important for my dad right now because he knows who she is. He gets even more agitated when he's not with her and Brookdale has been very helpful. I would truly recommend them. The rooms are very clean. The bathroom is much bigger because he's in a wheelchair. In independent living, they had carpet throughout except in the kitchen. On the seventh floor, they do not. They only have carpet in the bedroom, and the bathroom is much larger to accommodate him. They provide showers, dressing, and physical therapy for him, and they bring the meals to their room. In independent living, they obviously could have it delivered to their room or go to the cafeteria area. There's a doctor on staff there. They have physical therapy for those that can go down to the room. The food is good and they give them a variety. My mom complains it's kind of bland, but that's because it needs to be. They don't put a lot of spices on it. They're all elderly there. They serve different meals and they do breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They also have a little shop there that if they need milk or something, they can buy that there. They've been there for about five years now. We've never had any issues with them. They're very good and very friendly. They're very hands-on. If they call the front desk or if they need anything fixed in their apartment or whatever, they take care of that. They check up on them and make sure everybody's doing OK. They also have a little thing on their door, which at nighttime, if it's not opened or nobody comes out, they go check on them. They're very accountable for any needs that they have. They just did some remodeling on the building. They redid all the carpet floors. It's very clean, very festive during the holidays and very well taken care of. They always have activities on the weekends. During the day, they play cards. They have a lot of different activities that they can sign up to do.

Brookdale Hoffman Estates has lots and lots of activities for people and there's a lot of living options. They are very knowledgeable, and they had a good setup for taking their seniors around the community. The rooms were spacious and well-designed.

The people at Brookdale Hoffman Estates were really nice. The accommodations and the rooms were a 5. They had everything. They had a physical therapy room, a library, and activities. I believe once a month, they have field trips for the residents there. They take them someplace. They were very good. As far as the rooms, Brookdale had the best rooms.

Brookdale Hoffman Estates was at the top of my list. It's a very pleasant, clean, bright, and happy place. They've got very pleasant people that showed us around. I was in the hallways and I spoke with some residents that said they were very happy with their choice to live there. I like the fact that it had not only independent living, but assisted living as well, and that there was a hospital that you could look out the window and see the hospital nearby. The location was really good. They had good size rooms and pleasant views out the window. I like the way the floorplan just kind of flowed very nicely and comfortably. The staff was excellent. It was rather a large place and there were long hallways to get to places and there's a lot of walking. Elevators were available, but it still seemed like there were some pretty long distances between places that you would use, like from the rooms to the dining room and things like that.

We moved into Brookdale Hoffman Estates yesterday. It's excellent. The staff is wonderful. The room is very good. We're in an apartment with two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and one bathroom. The amenities are a little bit negotiable, breakfast is complimentary, and the meals are included. Usually they include twenty meals, but we have thirty. They have bingo, entertainment, and bus service.

My mom is currently at Brookdale Hoffman Estates. She's been there for eleven years now, and we've been satisfied with it. However, the fact that we just found out on Friday that she can't go back was kind of a shock. It's been eleven years, and for them to just tell us all of a sudden, "What's your plan?" ...And I had no idea that I needed to have a plan. Otherwise, her care has been generally good. They're taking good care of her. It's just that all of this has happened in less than forty-eight hours, so maybe in a week or so, I'll feel a little better. Right now, I'm still kind of in shock. It's a really nice place, they keep it very clean, and even with the pandemic, I believe that they maintained control and didn't have an outrageous spread. For a suggestion, maybe have better communication on extra charges.

My father stayed at Brookdale Hoffman. They were OK, but I think they weren't getting him up a lot during the pandemic. Instead of getting him out of his chair if he couldn't go to the dining room or get to the kitchen table to eat, I think they would just let him eat in his chair. It didn't help much; with him not getting up so much, it was harder for him to move. They pretty much took great care of him for quite a few years, though, and there were no real issues there. He was in assisted living, and he had a full kitchen which he couldn't even use, so he was paying for a bigger room for something he wasn't even able to use. It was expensive there, too. He wasn't able to do anything there. He had back problems, and he would pretty much stay in his chair all day long unless they got him up. We had an outside agency giving him his showers. So pretty much they would get him dressed in the morning and put him in his chair, and he'd be in his chair all day until it was time for him to eat. Then they would take him to the dining room. Sometimes they would just feed him in his chair, so he'd stay there all day unless he had to go to the bathroom, and then they would help him. They did this up to the point where they said he needed more help, and then they wanted to charge more. I don't think they had qualified people there to handle him with the condition he was in. He needed more help, and they wanted to charge me extra for somebody else to help. The main building was clean, but when he would go to the bathroom, he would dirty his chair. I know it's not the caregivers' job to clean the toilet, but sometimes when I went in there, the bathroom was dirty. If we complained or said something about it, sometimes they wanted to charge extra because it's more housekeeping. Where he's at now -- I've been there many times -- I've been able to go see him, and their bathroom is always clean. I can't understand why in Brookdale, then, the toilet was full of poop. I don't understand why, when they're wiping him and cleaning him, they couldn't have somebody come and keep the toilet clean. They have cleaning people who would come maybe once a week, or if we would ask or say something they would send somebody. The staff who were there most of the time were good with him. They took care of him, and they made sure that he was taken care of.

I have had a lot of confidence & respect for the people who operate this facility. I’ve felt this way from the first time I visited Brookdale Hoffman Estates. I was looking for a place for my 87 year old uncle to live without having to maintain his own property. This facility was definitely the answer. All of the personnel that I have met & talked with, have been attentive, courteous & very competent in the positions. Always helpful when I call with questions or ask fir help with my uncle. Both my uncle & myself have been well satisfied with this facility. Also, the residents here seem to enjoy living at Brookdale Hoffman Estates. Every resident we met early on, had nothing to say but positive things regarding the facility. I would highly recommend having a relative or even myself ( at some point in time ) living here.

I can highly recommend the staff at Brookdale Hoffman Estates. They have done a very professional job managing during the pandemic as well as normal situations. Our loved one entered Brookdale about 3 years ago needing no additional services but as her needs change, we can count on Mike and Tori and Maggie and Dan everyone else at Brookdale to put their heads together and develop care plans that fit the needs at that time. The residents are also wonderful and we love visiting and seeing their programs with our relative. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I have lived at Brookdale Hoffman Estates for 2 1/2 years now and love every minute of it! This is a place you can feel safe and well cared for. There is always someone here to help you and help you right away. I enjoy the freedom and friends I have here. There are always opportunities to gather with friends to play a game, take a walk or just sit and talk. The facility is very clean, housekeeping is wonderful. I truly appreciate everything they have to offer, from on site doctors and therapy to transportation to doctor appointments and shopping, great activities department too. The scenery and atmosphere is just beautiful. I feel peaceful and content being here.

This facility is very nice. The tour left me with a great impression. I did not interact with any staff other than Steve W, who gave me the tour. The price seems to be right in the ballpark. I will definitely keep this one in mind when the time comes. I like that it's right across the street from the hospital, too. I wish the storage areas would have been on the same floor as the unit. Parking is uncovered.

I chose Brookdale Hoffman Estates. The people that work there were very friendly and the residents there seemed very happy and very friendly as well. The facility was very nice. I'm going to have a two-bedroom apartment and they're extremely cooperative and want to work with you. The food was very good and the dining area was very pretty. It's long, narrow, and it had windows that were two stories high which look out onto a beautiful pond. They have a patio where you can sit outside. They have a lot of activities like bridge twice a week, mahjong, several exercise programs, tai-chi, and they have a walking path around the pond. It's very clean and very well kept up. The staff was awesome and the receptionist was calling the residents by name. It's well worth the price.

My mom has been a resident at Brookdale Hoffman Estates for five years, and it's very good. They're very attentive to the needs of the residents, and they work with you regarding special requests that you need or special services that you require. They respect you as an individual, so they try to make it seem as seamless and have you be as independent as possible. The activities are good, and the food is amazing. It's a full, white linen, sit-down dinner, that makes you feel like a princess. They work with the families, like when they have to go to the hospital and have to get you back to the community when you return. We've enjoyed our stay there. My mom has a wonderful little apartment. The value is good.

I visited Brookdale Hoffman Estates, that was the best tour we had, and it was the most cost-effective solution for us. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The amenities were fine, they did a good job showing us around, they have six different floor plans, and so there are a lot of choices. They have a full schedule of activities, which is good.

I moved into Brookdale, and I was extremely impressed. It's absolutely beautiful and 10 minutes from my granddaughter and 25 minutes from my grandson. The people are so warm, friendly, and I couldn't ask for anything more. I have a beautiful studio apartment. I love it; it's perfect for me, but they also have one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms. My apartment has a lovely kitchen with a dishwasher and cabinets, and it's a little smaller than a one-bedroom but much larger than an executive efficiency. They go out to dinner, casino, and movies, and we had a beautiful reception outside by the lake. I'm very pleased.

The staff at Brookdale Hoffman Estates was extremely helpful, kind, and patient. To me, that was the biggest thing. They have a lot of services for people who need care. I’m totally independent, but it was the convenience of having everything under one roof that I really liked and the staff. My room has everything that I need. I have a one-bedroom, one-bath with a little kitchen. It’s comfortable. I thought it was going to be too small, but it isn’t at all. The grounds are beautiful. I have a pond and a golf course outside my window, so it’s beautiful. They have buses that will take people shopping. This feels like home to me.

The apartments at Brookdale Hoffman Estates were beautiful, brand new and remodeled, but the facility had an older feel to it. Steve assisted me and he was phenomenal. He tried everything he could to get us in there. The building and the common living space were older -- it's kind of dreary when you walk in. The overall area needed to be updated. The food was cafeteria style and wasn't really good.

The independent living part of Brookdale Hoffman Estates is absolutely gorgeous and feels like a 5-star hotel. The rooms were superb, roomy, and large. The staff had hospitality skills as if you were in a 4-star hotel. The dining area was beautiful, and the food was very good. They have a ton of activities, so you can be as busy as you want to be. It’s very expensive, and the location is convenient because it’s on my way to work.

My mother-in-law settled into the one that she wanted to get into. It’s called Brookdale Hoffman Estates. It’s a very clean and caregiving as far as people doing what you asked. My mother-in-law loves it. She loves her apartment. Everything is good. The staff is fantastic. If there’s a question to be asked, they answer it as fast as they can and as good as they can. It’s a wonderful place. My mother-in-law plays bingo and poker. They have an area down in the atrium where people come in and put on performance like a concert, and she goes down there. She has met a lot of friends where they get together and talk or do whatever.

Brookdale was a beautiful place, close to my home, and very nice. The apartments were very nice, with plenty of good sizes. The staff was excellent and getting ready to play bingo when I was there. They had a wide variety of meals of very good food that you can send to your room to eat.

Brookdale Hoffman Estates is great. The people communicates extremely well. The place is well run and well managed. I like the food. They have various clubs you can join, as well as exercise groups. My mom is 92 and in in a wheelchair, so they have group chair exercises. She has adapted very well. The rooms are big. It's a nice place. The people couldn’t be nicer.

Brookdale was very nice, but it was really too far out from where I live. It’s conveniently next to a hospital, but it’s too remote for my family. The room is very well-appointed, they have nice public spaces, and active programs.

My dad is now in Brookdale Hoffman Estate. It is very clean. The food is excellent. They have very excellent staff. They are top notch. He has a one-bedroom, and of course it is beautiful. It has a brand new bathroom. It is nicely appointed. It had new kitchen appliances. Everything is put in for him. They have a van if you need to go to the grocery store. There have dinner outings or if you want to go to theater. They are all kinds of activities like bingo -- you name it.

I was able to visit Brookdale Hoffman Estates, and it was nice, but I was kind of hoping for a larger room, but they have tiny rooms from my standpoint. I don’t know if it would be a good fit for my mom. Overall, the facility might be too a little big for her. I met with the gentleman who gave the tour, and he is very nice.

It was very nice. It's a 7 or 8 story building. It's very clean, and seemed to be very well run. We went through what my mother's situation was just to get a feel for what kind of services we will need. They were very professional, and they seemed to be very well versed in their respective roles. I really didn't observe a whole lot of activities going on.

I like the intensity of the caring at Brookdale Hoffman Estates, and there are a lot of people who you can get to know. It is also close to my daughter's work. I just want to be able to get into arts and crafts and so forth, and all of that is in one building. The apartments are nicely sized and clean. They take you to a pool once a week if you want to go. The staff are friendly.

We found this community for my in-laws; however, they haven't moved in yet. The sales staff who I met there all seemed friendly and accommodating. When I saw the place, it was clean, and it had a friendly atmosphere. If I have to look for a place to live, I would probably live there myself. It just looked like a nice place, a place I wouldn't mind living myself. The rooms were clean and well-kept. It was pretty spacious for an elderly couple. The kitchen was kind of small, though. The dining area was nice.

They evaluated my mother-in-law, but after evaluating they felt that the facility is not the right place for her to be. She needed more care than what they could offer, but it's a very beautiful facility. They have a beautiful dining room. We had lunch there and the food was good. The facility was very clean and very updated. I like the apartments because it looked really nice.

We did make a connection with this community and we got my in laws there to look around. The location was good. The facility was what we were looking for as far as the staff and still with the independence that could have and the assistance when needed. If I have to make a guess, I would think that it is probably a 20 year old building. It's relatively new and very modern as far as the inside. They have activities there too. What I liked best about this place is the staff.

The staff was great. It's truly a great and very nice place. I was able to look at their one bedroom apartments. The rooms are very, very nice. They have the nicest rooms among all of the places I visited.

It's a nice facility, but the grounds were crowded with highways and there was really no place to walk around and see anything. The staff were friendly. I had lunch there and the food was good. What was also nice about this place is that there is a hospital next door. They have a bus that will take the residents shopping or to the hospital.

My visit was good. I saw their two-bedroom apartments and I think they were small. Their staff seemed very nice. They did have good activities for their residents. Would I recommend this place? Well, I supposed I can recommend them to others.
