We put Mom in Oakmont of Fresno. I like how friendly the staff was. It's very clean, very modern, up-to-date, and they have a lot of activities for people to do, so I thought it would be a good social environment. They have activities all throughout the day. They have bingo. They have painting. They have a walking club. They have a library for the residents. They have a movie theater. They have a lot of things to keep them busy all day. The food is very good and mom says it's very good. it seems reasonably priced for what you're getting.

Oakmont of Fresno was like a hotel. It was very nice. Everybody was very pleasant. They went out of their way to say hello. The community is new. It's only ten years old, so it's in great shape. It's very nice and very well laid out. It was very posh. People were off playing bingo. The rooms are big with very high ceilings and sunlight.

Oakmont of Fresno is a beautiful facility, and the services looked really nice. The food sounds good. Everything was great about it. The only downside for us is location because most of what we do is in Central Fresno and it's in West Fresno. The other thing is it's very expensive, which I think is to be expected because it's a luxury facility. They have a salon that does hair and nails. They have a masseuse. We looked at a two-bedroom apartment, and we saw the activities room where they have games and puzzles and everything out on the tables.

My visit to Oakmont of Fresno was wonderful. It was good. They were on time and ready to show me around the grounds. I was not able to look at an apartment. They were all filled up. So, all I was offered was a floor plan. The grounds were excellent. They were just impeccable. The host that toured me around had all the answers I needed. The facility was very well kept and very well maintained.

My mother has moved into Oakmont of Fresno. It's been fine. Unfortunately, my mom's bedridden, so she doesn't access the amenities. The only disappointing thing is that she was told that this place could serve her needs and she's had to mitigate some of those issues. It isn't a place for somebody who's bedridden. It's a place for somebody who's a little more active. They have a ton of amenities, and you're paying a lot of money for those amenities, and she's not using them. We were very explicit in knowing what medical necessity she needed. It's working out, but it has had a few hiccups. The people are friendly, the amenities are nice and they keep the place clean. However, they haven't trained their staff well, and they're not as responsive to my mother's needs. She needs a lot of higher- level care than she's getting. It's unfortunate because I don't think that they prepare their staff well for that level of training. The staff are unhappy because they're being asked to do something they don't know how to do well or they're being asked something they didn't realize they were going to be asked to do, so then they're a little more frustrated. They come across as a little more contentious. My mom has to deal with that regularly. She's not happy. She's bedridden. She's dealing with her own emotional and mental transition. You've got that kind of fighting against each other. I think in the beginning, if we were told they don't handle this or that's not appropriate for this place, then we would have kept our search on. I think they're coming along and I think the staff is generally trying to care. They're just having their own challenges. I saw what looked like a lovely movie room. I saw an exercise room. I saw a massage room. They had a big activity room with a bunch of tables, and a small kitchenette, and people were in there doing crafts. I saw kind of what commonly you see at those types of assisted living facilities. It's a nice facility. It's near restaurants and strip malls, that sort of thing.

Oakmont of Fresno was high class, but it also was more pricey. The apartment had a kitchen. They had lots of outdoor public areas, but nothing private. They had no private patios or balconies. They had a very nice public garden because they had a vegetable garden and an orchard, and the tenants could pick fruits and vegetables from those. I had 3 ladies tour me part of the time and they were all very accommodating and very nice. I didn't run into anybody that wasn't very nice.

Poor cleanliness of memory facility. Poor food quality. Staff are rude and mean to residents and family. Directors are rarely there. The kitchen has no food past 8pm for residents who forget dinner time. Too many infections, deaths, and injuries at this place! Beware.

I went to Oakmont of Fresno. I saw assisted living and memory care. It's very clean, very well-kept, and very pristine. The people that I met were very nice and took me through the whole community. Their dining area was very nice, both in the assisted living and the memory care. I liked the memory care because they had shadowboxes outside each room that told a little about the person that was living in that room. If somebody was a cat lover, they would have different items with cats in them. If they were a truck driver, they'd have stuff like that. They'd have family photos and just different things. It was really neat to see. It was just very, very well-kept. They had a barber shop, and this was more in the assisted living section where somebody would come in and cut men's and women's hair, dye their hair, comb their hair, and whatever. They do nails and just all kinds of little things. They have physical therapy there. The gal that was giving me the tour was excellent, very friendly, and tried to give me so much information to help me make the decision. I thought the price was pretty good for the area and for what they had to offer. Even the rooms were nice and well-kept. I got to see an empty room that my brother-in-law would possibly be staying in. I was very impressed. They were getting ready to have lunch, and they have a menu that they can pick from, and that was in the assisted living. In memory care, they serve the same food. Some of those people are limited in what they can eat, but they have a choice if they can make it. The staff was very friendly and all seemed to interact well together.

The facility is top notch. Food was very good. Staff friendly. I felt that they didn't try to get our business since they were full. No one ever reached out to us after our tour(s). I always had to call them. :(

I went to visit Oakmont of Fresno. Alicia was very pleasant, very nice, and very thorough. The Oakmont in itself was very beautiful but I found they were sort of pushing for my husband to share a room with someone else. I just don't think that's a good idea for dementia. In terms of their activities, they had too many things going on at once, and I found that confusing for me. I know my husband would have not been happy at all as it would have been way too confusing for him. They had some people watching TV, and the TV was very loud. Then they had another group doing finger painting, and another group doing something else.

Oakmont of Fresno was nice. The price was a little high, but it was nice. I liked it. The staff was so friendly. People seemed to be having a good time playing games. They have everything available, snacks and stuff, for them. The room was nice and spacious and had windows. They had a nice patio and nice grounds. They had a kitchen and there were lots of help. The dining area was nice and very clean.

Oakmont of Fresno was aesthetically nice. The room was pretty. The person during the tour was in a hurry though. The entire tour took less than 10 minutes, and I had to try and keep up with her pace. The dining area was very lovely. I wasn't offered food; however, I was there during lunch. There were no residents out at all, except for the few people in the dining hall. She took me into a private dining that was closed off. I just didn't see any active participation. There's a great room when you walk in, but there wasn't anybody out.

I went to look at Oakmont of Fresno. The staff was very welcoming, wonderful, and gracious. We had an excellent tour. There was a very good explanation of the different levels of care available. The ground was beautiful. The rooms were all up to date. It's a new facility, so everything was relatively new. They had a huge theatre room where they could see movies or football games or whatever they wanted to watch, and that was very lovely. The dining area was very good. You could have buffet style there, or you could be served, which was lovely. We didn't sample any of the food, but we saw food being prepared, and it was very good.

The Oakmont of Fresno is a very nice facility but is just too big for the level of care that my mom is at. I did not see any bedrooms, but I saw a dining area and a family room hangout area and both are very nice. I saw both assisted living and memory care and they're gorgeous buildings. I did not see the bedrooms, just the communal dining, and the activity room and both are very nice. There was outdoor space and the facility looked very well-maintained. They also have a library room and the décor was beautiful. I could live there, it was gorgeous. I don't know how old the building is, but it's beautiful. The grounds were beautiful and the inside was nice too.

The staff at Oakmont of Fresno was really knowledgeable and really friendly. The facility is really clean, set up very nice, and everything is accessible even with a wheelchair or walker. The problem for me is that I think they're really expensive. They have a memory center too. The staff who gave me the tour was extremely nice. They've been in contact with us since my dad's stroke, and it seems like she calls every week just to see if there's anything that she can help us with. She said we could do takeout of food because of COVID right now, so there's a sample meal that we can take home. We saw the monthly food schedule, and it was pretty awesome. The facility is beautiful.

We went to Oakmont of Fresno in person. We really liked it, everybody was friendly, everything was wonderful, in spite of having the COVID situation, we felt at ease, we felt they were taking precautions, they gave us all the information in the world. The staff was wonderful, very caring, very forthcoming with information, giving us all we needed to know, very helpful, and followed up afterwards. Even those who were walking past us as we were doing our tour were very pleasant, and very welcoming. The rooms were pleasant and spacious, we were pleased, it was just a little bit higher, my mother has a small dog, and we had to factor in the cost, they had a one time cost for you to have an animal, we factored a few more little things, and it was just a little out of our reach. The grounds are very well kept, the location is very well kept, very clean, and we were very impressed with it. They had a movie theater, that was great, it's just a matter of how many people can go in there safely, they showed us all the other activities that were available, they had their calendar showing us what can and can't be done, I believe we met the activities director, and there were plenty of stuff to do. We talked to one or 2 residents, they appeared very happy there. Everything was what we would expect and want in a retirement community.

My husband moved this week into Oakmont of Fresno. We had heard good things about it, they told us the truth, and it was very straightforward. The staff member who gave the tour was very professional. I go by odor and that was the first thing I noticed. I couldn't smell anything except the little bit of food here or there someplace. The staff I communicated with followed up and were honest.

I had 1 week to find a place to move my dad to a year ago. I visited 8 facilities, and felt so much at home here at Oakmont. After talking with my sister and my husband (who went on the quest with me), Oakmont was our choice. For the money, it was the appropriate place for Dad. He has been there for a bit over a year and really likes it there. Even thought Covid has put a damper on things for him, he still is quite comfortable there. Thank you for you wonderful care.

Oakmont of Fresno is a new community and they have everything. They have more programs than any other community I have visited. They have just about everything. I had a lovely luncheon with a lady who ate with me and answered all the questions I had. I was really well informed about what they had to offer. Their apartments looked adequate and very well thought out as far as what a person would need. They're not as huge as the apartments in some places, but they're good. The food that we had was excellent. The thing that was different is that the residents don't sit down at one time, they come when they need to, and can eat breakfast at noon if they want to. They're very flexible and I appreciate that feature. They have two to three activities in a day, so you can't get bored there. They have bible studies, painting classes, clay work, and things to keep a person busy all day. The staff member that accommodated me was very pleasant, they were very kind to me, and I enjoyed meeting them.

Oakmont of Fresno is huge and upscale. I don't like it. The rooms were too over-the-top that I don't think anybody was ever going to use them. They had a huge common area where you can have a party. It had all kinds of books that it looked like a library. I'm like, 'Who's that for in memory care?' It didn't have a good walking area at all. They had memory care but maybe they're more focused on assisted living. It didn't appeal to me at all. The staff was OK, though.

I have been a resident for the past two years and have enjoyed the fine meal preparation and presentation. My apartment suits me quite well and staff does a excellent job of cleaning and maintaining it. All staff are friendly, courteous and accommodating to my particular needs. It takes a little time to learn procedures for dining, appointment transportation and activities. All in all I can't think of a better place for this 85 year old body and mind of mine to reside.

Oakmont of Fresno has one of the best facilities in Fresno. They have a great program for the residents with memory issues. They have a lot of amenities. The thing I really liked is they have a motion detector in the room, so if mom is wandering around at night they can attend to her and know she's up. They have physical activities where they play games such as bowling, they smack a balloon around, and I've seen them playing bingo a couple of times. On Wednesdays they go out for scenic drives, and every morning they get them up, help them get dressed and showered, get ready for their day, and take them down to their meals. They have a lot of people there constantly helping them get on with their daily life. The food is very good, delicious, nutritious, and they have a nice variety. They have a full time chef and they have a good menu that changes. They're also accommodating about their menu. The staff has been very accommodating.

My parents stayed at Oakmont of Fresno. It's absolutely horrible the way it was run, including the turnovers and the policies of the company. I would never put any of my relatives in there. However, the rooms looked wonderful and the building itself was nice. There were some good staff members, but they were short on staff, and they work them too hard. The dining area was good, but the food was medium OK. They have activities for the residents, including people would come in to sing and so on.

People were happy at Oakmont of Fresno which makes a difference. It was almost brand new, and I like the furnishing. The dining room looked really nice. The hallways had individual information in front of people's rooms and little remembrances of things. The rooms were really well-done and bigger. They also had nice amenities.

We liked that Oakmont was smaller, it was excellent, and we would opt for this place in five years' time. It's about two years old, modern, and up to date. The dining is from a good menu, you order from the table, and the food is excellent. The staff was excellent, and we thought the biggest suite -- which was around 1100 sq. ft. -- was small. They have a small exercise room.

Relatives were living at Oakmont of Fresno for a while and were very happy. Our tour was positive. They didn’t have a memory care available. The place had a 5-star restaurant. I’ve eaten there more than once, and the food is excellent. The chefs are above average. They participate in community events; a bus came back from one with a load of people while I was there.

My husband is living there at Oakmont of Fresno. It is very clean and elegant. It has a friendly atmosphere, and it's welcoming. It's great. They provide a lot of care because my husband is disabled. They shower him everyday, do all of his laundry, and help him to and from his meals. The food is really good, but I think the portions are a little small.

My relative moved into Oakmont of Fresno and has been there over a month. She likes it. It’s in a location that’s good for all of our family. It’s a five-star place. My brother is one of the younger residents (65 years old) at Oakmont of Fresno. Almost two years ago he was critically injured in an accident and has been unable to live independently. He has been through a very extensive rehabilitation program and has transitioned from 5 months in the hospital to other care facilities before coming to Oakmont. Each change has been difficult for him to adjust to especially since he realizes that he will never be able to live on his own again. Oakmont has been such a blessing for him and our entire family. He was welcomed as one of the first residents and has been treated with complete respect and kindness. He has adjusted quickly to his new surroundings and has been given so much attention. We are a very close family and have been so pleased to know that he is in a safe place where his needs are being met beyond our expectations. Oakmont has definitely met my brother's needs. He is very fortunate to be alive and living at such a wonderful facility. Also one last thing..... the food is amazing! We had family in town a few months ago and took a group of them to Oakmont for dinner. The family is still talking about how they were treated and the delicious meal they had.

Oakmont Senior Living is a very clean facility, and everybody is very friendly. They seemed like they are kept up very well. It's a nice facility. From what I saw, I was impressed with the place. With the rooms, they give you enough space. Some rooms have little kitchen areas. They have a recreation director that I was able to speak with, and they do lots of fun things with them on a daily basis. They all do their ADL's accordingly. They are charted on every two hours. I thought it was a very nice facility.

We appreciate the feedback on your visit. It is true that at the time of your tour of our Traditions Memory Care there were less than ten residents. We had just recently opened but are now approaching capacity so the atmosphere in Traditions is quite lively. We have dedicated, full time Activity Directors in both Traditions and Assisted Living who keep our residents very engaged throughout the day. We encourage you to stop back in .
One of the features we are most proud of at Oakmont is our abundance of natural lighting. We are designed with extra-large windows in our homes and common areas. Innovative Folding Glass Walls give the luxury of wide open space in our dining rooms. As winter approaches our residents will enjoy the warmth of our five fireplaces making our common areas really feel like home.

I think Oakmont of Fresno is beautifully designed. I think it has exactly what my mom needs, and the people are well trained to deal with assisted living cases. I am very happy. The grounds are great. She used to walk 4 miles a day, and they have a walking path which is perfect. The activities are really good, and they are even getting better. They are very busy and culturally diverse. Not every single activity applies to her, but there are many things that she is very happy with. They have live music at least 2 days a week, and she enjoys the classic movies. They have a full movie theater, and then she and her new friend get to pick out the movies they are going to watch. They are also having a mother-daughter tea on Saturday which she is really looking forward to for mother’s day. It is brand new and very clean. Their studio apartment is very clean, very nice, and well-laid out.

I went to Oakmont. It was very nice, very fancy, and beautiful. I only spoke with one person who gave me a tour, and he was very nice. It was brand new. They had an aviary, a park setting at the back, a movie theater, and things for people to do.

Oakmont was very nice, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. I like the staff and their philosophy there. They’re very caring and seemed to have a lot of respect for their residents. They had quite a list of activities. They had computer classes and exercise classes. They had an area for cooking and an area where they do lots of interaction and demonstration. The rooms were very nice and very roomy. They felt more like a residence and less like a hotel room. It is on the top of my list; it is the one I liked the best of the ones that I visited. I was very impressed.

Oakmont was the one I liked best. I like the staff, the facility was brand new and modern, and the apartments were large. The food was excellent, and the activities calendar was full. They have everything from gardening, exercise, games, movies, and classes. They also have a service salon, day spa, movie theater, and projection screen. There was a wide variety of food choices and restrictions for diabetes and other diets. The grounds were gorgeous and absolutely breathtaking with more gardening areas than any other facility in town. They have outdoor dining -- that’s something that is uncommon in the area -- beautiful water features, shade, comfortable sitting areas, and beautiful flowers. It’s located near shopping area, there's a park right up the street, and it’s close to freeways, with easy access to anything you really want to do in town. West and Alicia are two people that I have been working with and helping my grandparents find the care they need. They are absolutely amazing.
