My 89 year old mother has lived at Middlewoods of Farmington for 6 months and it has been the BEST choice for my mom. I can't say enough wonderful things about Middlewoods! The staff is caring and friendly. The residents are friendly and nice. My mom was living alone and now she is in a safe, caring environment with socialization. Covid has been challenging everywhere, but Middlewoods has handled it exceptionally well. They have been creative about providing activities during this time. By the way, my mom really likes the food here too. I spent a long time searching for the right place for my mom and when I talked to Ginny and visited Middlewoods I knew immediately that it was a homey, friendly community. And it has proved to be that and more. It has been a home run for my mom and our family!

We visited Middlewoods of Farmington and my husband is not qualified for that, but it's wonderful. The director there was unbelievably wonderful. She has contacted us many times and she has referred us to other places, which I have on the list to visit. My husband is not eligible because he has a level of dementia and they said they don't think that they can take him. I've toured the bedrooms and I've toured the whole thing, and it's wonderful. The staff during the tour was very, very knowledgeable. The bedrooms were very nice. We looked at a one-bedroom unit, and it has a little kitchen area. We wanted something larger than that, but it was not available to visit. The one that we looked at was very adequate and well equipped. The only thing that you didn't pay for was cable. They've sent food over, and it was really good. They have physical education and somebody comes in and does that. They take people on trips, they have movies, and they have a lot of things going on. They have cooking classes, they have games, bowling and television bowling, and bingo and my husband was going over there for penny poker, which he loved.

My parents came to Middlewoods when we needed help. My mother was having some health issues, and my husband and I had previously committed to babysit our grandchildren in another state 15 hrs. away. We were checking out assisted living homes for respite care to give me peace of mind where my parents could get any help they needed, including meals, cleaning, and nursing assistance. My mother was the one who mentioned liking Middlewoods so that determined our decision. (I had also heard of them from another friend who told me that is where she would go if it were necessary.) We initially had my parents there for one month's respite care. Upon our return, they assumed they were staying. It was the best decision we ever could have made. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They also make every effort to make sure their residents feel at home and are comfortable. They even try to make sure the residents continue to do whatever brings them pleasure. My dad loves to golf, and staff have actually taken him out to play. When recommendations are made by residents, they take it very seriously and try to accommodate the suggestions.

I liked Middlewoods of Farmington very much. It was a little homey, more like what my mother's home was. From an environment perspective, she might be a little bit more comfortable there. It was very clean, and the staff was very nice. They had plenty of amenities and lots of activities for the seniors to do.

The environment at Middlewoods assisted living was really nice, but the layout of the apartments was very weird and unusual. The dining room was very nice with reasonable food. The people were all nice also. We saw them having recreational activities. They had an exercise program. They played bingo, and they went on field trips a lot.
