My friend is at Carver Heights Estates Senior Living. It is a nice little community. Nice rooms. Real friendly people. Their individual rooms are set up like little apartments. They change linens, do the laundry, and stuff like that. They give the residents one of those panic buttons that they wear around their neck, and there's one by the toilet just in case you fall, or get into some trouble. They have staff there 24 hours a day. For activities, they have games, outdoor activities, bingo, puzzles, and group movies. The staff members are all nice. While we were touring, I saw a large group of people who were participating in activities, and they all looked like they were having fun.

My mom is currently at Carver Heights Estate. The experience was very good. The facility was clean, updated, and well-managed. They have a library, a main den gathering area, and a very nice restaurant. It's more of a restaurant as opposed to a cafeteria. The food was very good, very fresh, well prepared, and of great variety. They have bingo. They have card games. They have visiting persons like music, reading, and church. The staff was very friendly, professional, and very helpful.

Carver Heights Estates Senior Living was very clean and updated. It's on one level. They had a main area and a very small courtyard. Everything was right in this one area, which had more limited space. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and outgoing. The dining area was nice. Everything was remodeled. The rooms were smaller. The price was higher. The activities were geared more toward lower-functioning people. We saw the activity director working with the residents, like hitting a ball back and forth. The atmosphere was less interactive. The residents were less engaging.

We went with Carver Heights Estates for my mother. It was just 1.2 miles from me. Mother really wants a small dog. In Carver Heights, it's just a deposit of $350. It's very clean and very pretty. It's all one level. It's kind of built in a square, so in the center is like a courtyard area. That's a much larger outdoor area for them. It's got a lot of pretty little patio seating things, and it's got a raised flower bed that the people can plant. It just has a much better outdoor feel, and the indoors are beautiful. The room was more spacious than the other place we went to. It had two closets. It's a nice facility. We were really impressed. The staff is amazing, they're so sweet, really good, and very informative. You can call anytime, and they'll answer your questions. A couple of weeks after she got in, they had what they call family time. They had hot dogs and hamburgers and a bounce house and a DJ, and all kinds of entertainment. A lot of people came, and it was a lot of fun. They have activities every day. They have activities going on, so they do really well in the activities department.

Carver Heights Estates Senior Living was amazing. It's beautiful, and they have gorgeous rooms. It's clean, well-maintained, and they have sufficient staff. It's the kind of thing I dream of, but that's not livable based on the amount that we have to pay. I got to see a single room, a double room, and the social interaction spaces. Then they have a whole list of activities that are available for folks to interact with each other. The director of all the activities gave me a list of the things that they've done and the kinds of things she wants to add. Then the woman, who's the director of the whole center, gave me a tour. She was very thorough and walked me throughout the entire facility. I also got to see the patio, the garden area, and met some of the staff. They were really wonderful.

I like the overall atmosphere. It is very clean. The people are very nice, and their attitude is great. I like the location, and I know that it is the best place for my mom. The staff is very good. They are excellent. The room seems to be working well for my mother, and it is very clean. They have a lot of different activities like games, bible study, Church services, and different things like that. It is in a good location.

It was our second choice. It was bright and cheery with light yellow and white walls. The eating area looked very pleasant. The room we were looking at was a corner room and was slightly larger than the others. They're a smaller facility. One of our main concerns at the time was they do not have as much extended care. They didn't have a wing where you're not well enough to go home and you need extra oversight. They can handle therapy. Everything was clean and it was neat and looked very nice. We met two or three of the staff. They were pleasant and answered questions. The staff was helpful to the extent they could be at the time. They have someone on staff who's very knowledgeable about all the financing options. They interacted well with residents. They had permission from a couple of residents to let us see their rooms. There was one room we passed that we smelled a strong fecal odor in. We know that can't be helped, and maybe they just hadn't had a chance to remove it, but that was on our way to the dining room and it was just one room.

It is very clean and has a very good presentation. Everything was really nice, but it was kind of big and confusing. Everybody was just nice. The menu was awesome, and I liked the rooms.

It was very attractive inside and out. One of the things we liked there was that they housed the memory care people with the assisted living people and I like that because I thought that would be a stimulation among the residents. We were very impressed. The facility itself was extremely nice. I really have decided on that until they decided they didn't want us. When they interviewed my husband based on whatever, they decided that they couldn't accept him because they thought he was combative or something. He definitely is not; he has Alzheimer's but he is docile. I can give them a 5 as far as the facility goes, but I don't know anyway to rate them otherwise because that was a devastating thing for us. We thought we found the right place and we hadn't really.
