Are There Any Financial Assistance Programs in Utah That Cover Home Health Care?

Home health aides visit and assist aging and disabled adults on an as-needed basis. They help with tasks like meal preparation, laundry and housekeeping while tending to clients’ medical needs. Home health aides are certified to administer basic medications, care for minor wounds and assist with rehabilitative therapy. They also provide socialization for people who are isolated.

The state has 114 home health agencies to choose from, with most of them centered in Salt Lake County.

In Utah, seniors who need help paying for in-home health aide services may be eligible for state assistance programs. One is the Personal Care Services program, which is offered by state Medicaid.
