This community is beautiful, clean and has safe environment for my father. The rooms are good sized, clean and have good views. The staff have been kind and very helpful! The game area on the 3rd floor has been great for him as he loves to play cards and socialize.

I saw Pioneer Village. It was certainly an attractive building, it looks sort of rustic, early America kind of thing, but done very attractively. It was relatively a large lobby with high ceilings, a sort of a walkway halfway toward the ceiling, you take stairs or probably an elevator halfway, and you walk around, you see down into the lobby area, so it has a large aspect to it. The rooms were reasonably nice. I ended up five or ten minutes late because of the mix-up of the address. The staff wasn't present, in her mind she was somewhere else, she was not caring, she was not friendly, she was barely engaged at all. The amenities were acceptable. There was a lawn, there was a sort of a garden. It wasn't a very good tour, the woman had only three days there, she didn't know the place. My overall take on the place was terrible.

Pioneer Village was excellent, they were wonderful. It was more of a cost measure. The apartments were extremely nice, the staff was wonderful, very good, and the amenities were excellent. They provide food services, housekeeping, transportation, and the opportunity to go to assisted living if necessary. The location is pretty nice, Pioneer Village is very, very nice, but it was just a little bit too costly for my folks.

My husband and I have lived here almost 10 months and appreciated the friendly welcome from residents. They are now our new loving and caring friends! The same results with all staff people! This small, intimate community is just what we needed. The facility is homey, clean and well kept. Our apartment is spacious and comfortable. Amenities good, although coronavirus has challenged activities and dining services. Staff is doing their best to keep things as normal as possible for residents, family and outside friends. Staff is doing an excellent job of keeping us safe from COVID-19 too. We’re happy to be here!

Pioneer Village has charm in look, with the layout and apartments having a homey feel, rather than a "grand" resort. The staff is always caring and helpful to the residents, family, and visitors. This type of surroundings is just what my mom needed to live independently. She feels safe, comfortable, and has a peace of mind knowing there is help right there if she needs it. During COVID, they handled the situation responsibly and sensitively. There are canopies set up outside with socially-distanced seating so that family and friends can meet and visit safely. Scheduled fun activities help keep spirits up and encourage residents to get out and safely do things during this challenging time. There have been no COVID outbreaks in the facility! I give my appreciation and winning vote all the way around!!

Pioneer Village has a wonderful, caring staff who are taking excellent care of my parents. They are responsive to issues that come up and respond quickly with proactive solutions. During the COVID crisis, they reacted swiftly to the situation and as a result have prevented any outbreaks in the facility. They set up 12X12 pop-up shades in the parking lot with patio furniture underneath with chairs adequately spaced apart so family could still meet with residents and keep everyone safe. This helps considerably in keeping the residents' spirits up. Pioneer Village creatively adjusted their activities so socializing could continue in a safe environment. Overall we have been very impressed with this facility.

I liked Pioneer Village very much. I liked the room. It was on the ground floor and it was a two-bedroom. The two-bedroom, two-bath was being repaired and they were cleaning it. It was just a little above what I wanted to pay. There's no covered parking. The parking was open, so you could never be sure if you have a spot. That's the only drawback. The rest of it I liked. I also liked the people. The staff was terrific, they were very helpful, very nice, very accommodating, and very efficient. I was impressed that they had been there for a long time. The food was good. I had a steak, which was on the menu, and it was done perfectly. It's in two or three buildings, but it's easy to go between them. It was a good place.

We love Pioneer Village. My mother is very happy there. She plays ping-pong, she walks her dog, and they let her have her dog there. The staff is absolutely wonderful and caring. I never hear anything but good things about that place from everyone. It's clean and it's beautiful. They seem to go out of their way. They're taking very good care of her. They make sure she eats because she doesn't eat unless you feed her. If they follow their schedule that is up every day they will never have nothing to do. It's a little expensive, but she's very well taken care of. She doesn't have to do a thing and she brags about it constantly.

Beautiful place. Caregivers that I have come in contact with seem to care. My mom likes living there and has for about 7 years. The hard part is that the caregivers change a lot. Not everyone is able to do that type of job. I worked in that line and also saw a lot of turnover. They handle it better than most. 4 stars because everyone can use some improvement. Hats offf to a facility I would love to live in.

After my father's died my Mother who had never lived alone moved to Pioneer Village in Jacksonville, OR. When she first moved there almost 10 years ago, she asked if she didn't like it could she live with us. She lives independently with the secure feeling that she is not alone. They have daily activities that keeps her involved but the most important thing is she's with people her own age & in a facility with friendly and caring staff. At the age of 95 she is still active & loves where she lives. I love the fact that when I travel I know she's being taken care of. Since Jacksonville is a small historic town it makes Pioneer Village a perfect place to live.

My mother has been a resident for 10 years. She has lived in independent living apartments and is now in assisted living. She loves this place and is so happy to be here. And it is comforting to me that she is in a safe and comfortable environment. The staff greets her by name and, many times, anticipates her needs even before she asks for anything. She enjoys the social contact at meals and activities such as Bingo, card games and Wii Bowling.

My Husbands 94 year old mother has been a resident for over 10 years and we have experienced nothing but wonderful, attentive staff and appreciate all of the activities made available to keep our mother happy and active. Our mother through the past 10 years has transitioned from the duplex, to the apartment and now the semi-assisted unit with the help of the staff it felt effortless and was a comfortable transition for our mother.

I liked Pioneer Village very much. It’s really good, and I have nothing but good things to say, but I think my friend is not quite ready yet. It’s wide, spacious, and very livable. I would keep it in mind for myself when the time comes. They had a library, movie room, and everything that I would want if I would be looking for myself. Dennis, the person who gave me the tour, was very helpful, and everyone seemed very nice and positive.

My mother has just moved into assisted living at Pioneer Village - this was a challenging process for her (and me!) and all of the staff were immensely helpful at every stage. Before we moved in, they helped both of us understand the services and community at Pioneer Village, and really helped my mother to feel good about the move. They communicated with me very well (I live at a distance) throughout, and the beautiful apartment was delivered to us in an excellent state. The Community Relations Director was essential in managing the process of getting things ready for us really quickly and helping my mother to be happy. Over the process of moving in, staff were helpful in working with our movers and us. ALL staff - from the Assistant Executive Director and Community Relations Director, to the Activities Director, Care Coordinator, and Environmental Services Director (and maintenance staff) made themselves known to my mother and I and were endlessly patient, dealing with any questions speedily; the receptionist and catering staff were calling my mother by name by the time we moved in. Residents were also very friendly - I feel like my mother has moved into a friendly and supportive environment, and she is settling in really quickly. I am so pleased that we found Pioneer Village!

We looked at Pioneer Village and the place was lovely. Their 2-bedroom apartment felt comfortable. We also looked a 2-bedroom cottage and it was nice. They were more expensive, but still doable.

Pioneer Village looked like a chalet. The eating area was kind of nice. They had nurses there to distribute medicines. It was in a small town, and there was a doctor right across the street. It was kind of a cool little place. Actually I kind of like it, but my mom thought the rooms were smaller than the other facility we went to. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating. I had no complaints.

Pioneer Village has an assisted living section, a memory loss section and a retirement living with some housing departments. They have people in wheelchairs but they also have a lot of retired folks who doesn’t want to cook and clean for themselves anymore. It’s a BEAUTIFUL facility. They have patios and everything is just gorgeous around there. I had tons of questions and they answered all of them. They have a chef and a sit down menu. They have activities to go out, cooking, work outs and church. I would like to retire there but I can’t afford it.

This is a first class facility in a very beautiful part of the world - old Jacksonville, OR. The service, food, décor and available activities certainly deserve a 10 star rating, not a 5 star rating. You can choose just about any kind of care(if needed) and of course personal transportation to varied functions and appointments. This is a very kind and caring facility-spotlessly clean and beautiful.
