The Timbers Skilled Nursing & Therapy has been wonderful. They've been very patient, caring, and attentive to my brother's needs and to our needs. The staff is amazing and the rooms are nice. It's a good place and we're happy with him there. He raves about their food. Their activity schedule looked pretty nice, too.

I spent 5 weeks at he Timbers "recovering" from a fall and 10 hours on the floor at home. With the exception of 2 - 3 wonderful nurses, a fine therapy group and a good wound care unit, the Timbers offers little in terms of "care". My first 3 weeks there my weight went from 181 to 159. Turns out I was getting 5 "feedings" ( I have a PEG button) instead of 6. I also have Parkinson's and received only half dosage of one med and none at all of the other for my complete stay. I'm sure the Timbers is not the worst facility but there must be many other competent facilities out there.

My brother stayed at The Timbers for 3 months. He did not like the food, by the time the food got to him, it was cold, so that's one drawback; sometimes it's good, and sometimes it wasn't. Specially he would come back from the dialysis clinic late, like 6:00 sometimes 7:00 at night, so the food definitely would be cold then, so I didn't like that. I was able to go to the window and see him. When I called, they always answer my questions. I do have 1 thing that I don't like about them, they lost his clothes; they lost like 2 of his pants, 2 shorts, and a sweater jacket, which I really, really want that sweater jacket back so I've e-mailed them. But I have not had any response, so I'm gonna try to do it again. He was in at least 3 rooms. The 1st room, he had a roommate, then they moved him out of that room because they wanted to put all the dialysis patient in 1 wing of the facility, so they would not mix with the other residents because of the virus. And then they were doing some remodeling, and so they had to move him from that room to another room which actually was okay, because it's right toward the front, and that was easy to go up there and see him right away. He was in that room for a month or more without a roommate, then like the last week or so, he got a roommate, and he said the roommate got combative with the people trying to help him, and so he really wanted to get out of there. He didn't like having a roommate. I visited there a couple of times, and he was eating.
