I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My husband moved to The Opal at Spring Hill. It feels like everyone there is family. It's very bright, and the staff is very helpful and they have a positive attitude. They are always Johnny-on-the-spot. I haven't tried the food, but my husband says most of it is good. They have bingo. If I didn't think they were the place, I wouldn't be spending my money there.

My father moved here last month. We chose it because it was a nice size. The place is clean, and my dad likes it there. They have game nights, bocce, bingo, and just other stuff to get him out of his room and interact with the other residents. They seem to be very caring. When we toured the facility, they knew all the residents by name. Since my dad moved in there, he said that they've been really wonderful. They've been very attentive and kind.

I like them. It's my favorite right now. The woman who I was supposed to meet with was off that week. It was a good thing because I showed up unannounced. Nobody was planning anything. Two other women gave me the tour. They did sit with me and told me some of the things. They weren't in marketing, so they didn't know exactly what they should be doing, but they took me on a tour and I loved it. I loved the way that they got along with the residents there. Every person that we passed in the hall, said hello and it was by name. That was important. When I was leaving, they were just starting to serve lunch. I continued to talk to these women, but I wanted to observe how lunch was handled and how it went. There is nothing bad that I can say about the place. Everything was what I would want. They showed me all over the facility and they took me into a couple of the empty rooms, then they have a couple of rooms set up like models. I met with the activities director. The rooms were great. I was really surprised because you could have two rooms, so you have your bedroom and then you have a separate sitting room with a little kitchenette. It was the first time I had seen that. It had a microwave and a refrigerator and that's all my neighbor needed. I was impressed with the rooms. Compared to the other facilities I've been at, they were all good-sized. The dining area was kind of interesting. I asked if the people were assigned seating or do they sit wherever they want to for each meal. They said that they do have assigned seating, but seats can be moved. Like if somebody isn't comfortable at the table, they can move, but they try to keep them together. There are stronger bonds for them if they sit at the same place for the same meal. It's more of a family atmosphere then; people with the same likes are at this table. It was very nice. The wait staff was very friendly with them, too. Again, they didn't know who I was, so it's not like, "We had a visitor today coming in, let's be nice," because few places do that. I was more impressed with that than anything else because nobody knew I was coming. The grounds were very clean and they had a courtyard where the doors were locked all the time, and people can go out there and sit and it's not like they need anybody with them because it's in the center of the building. It's open, but it's in the center of the building, so they can't leave, but they can go out any time they want, on their own free will. Marketing did call me after the tour and did invite me and my neighbor to come to one of the activities that they were having. She said that when my neighbor's ready, that would be the way to get her to come in, come in for an activity or two before actually moving in, so she's a little more comfortable. They are inviting. Marketing just wasn't there the day that I went. They had just finished an activity when I was there, but the activities director was still there. There was a man working on something, but he was working on it alone. People can come and work on things as they want, but they have places set up throughout where there are little reading nooks. If they want just a place to sit and read, there are books there and stuff. I don't think you can be bored there without even being led. She said there are always puzzles going on. There's nothing I'm going to complain about.

I toured here. It was nice. It was clean. The people were very nice. The staff who toured me was named Karen. She was super friendly, very informative, and welcoming. The rooms were very cute. They're small. I looked at a studio and a one-bedroom. I looked at the models, and they were very cute. I saw residents playing bingo. They have a hair salon. They have a small dining area, too. It's nice.

I liked them very much. It was very nice inside. The residents that were out in the hallway looked well-tended. They have a nice little garden that you can go sit out in, or a screened-in area that you can sit and look out on, which I loved. That was the place I wanted for my mother. The staff was very nice and very accommodating. They worked with me when I tried to get my mother in there. It was very clean, and the dining area was nice, with little tables, and everything. The apartments had a kitchenette area, a nice-sized bathroom, and a small bedroom. It was very nice and I fell in love with the place.

It was very clean and very nice, and the people were wonderful. It was very secure. The staff was wonderful and took good care of her. They have alert buttons, and they came right away when I accidentally pushed it. The grounds are very nice, and she likes the food; if she doesn’t, they give her what she wants.

My mother is here. It is pretty good. We like it. She was in another facility before we moved her in this one, and this one is better. It is the only one that has security on their doors, and she never has to move to memory care. It really works out well with us. That's why I choose it, and I am really happy to do that. They treat her really well.

It has just been redone. It is a very nice facility in a quiet area, and the rooms are very nice. It is very pleasant there, and the staff is extremely nice. They have an exercise class, which my aunt does. She plays the organized games, and she participates in the activities there.

I took a tour here, and that was a matter of money. It was wonderful, the dining room and living space put together, you could sit right outside the dining room and private dining area, and it’s very nice. It was nicely decorated, the overall atmosphere seemed very attentive to the residents there. If they have a complaint there, they don’t have that feeling that they were ignored, I have never heard that there. They have to interview the family and the client, they were very detailed. They want to make sure to the family that they will be there as well. They have sing-a-long, board games, an activity area that is centrally located, and trips.

The staff here is very nice and friendly. I saw one of the respite's apartments and it seemed adequate for what it would be. It was fine. The dining room was right there as you came into the main hall. It had like an entry way and a sitting area, then the dining room was right off of that. It looks very nice. I didn't go in there to observe it any closer. I just saw it from that point. The place looks very secure.

This facility has a wonderful home like feel! I was welcomed the very moment I walked in. The staff was friendly and went out of there way to make me feel important. The other patients seemed happy and engaged with activities and just general laughter and smiles. I am choosing this home for my mother!

I did visit here and everything was nice. The facility was well done and the staff was good. The people were nice too. They have drug store and they have a bus that takes you to your doctor. I like that I could have my animal there.
