Palm Court may not be the newest retirement community around, but I'm so glad I placed my loved one there! The community has a certain charm to it and the entire staff is excellent...many have worked at Palm Court for quite some time, which is not standard in this industry. I don't know why other people have complained about the food--my loved one residing there and I think it's very tasty! It must be tough to make 3 meals a day for 90 or so residents that everyone will enjoy. Everyone has different taste buds, likes and dislikes, and an opinion of how food should be cooked and prepared. Also, each apartment has a kitchenette so residents are able to purchase some of their favorite foods desired that the community may not offer. My loved one also gets daily housekeeping services, which are not offered at other communities unless you want to pay extra. And, the activities at Palm Court are top notch! There is always something to do! Plus, residents have the added bonus of living right next to the Culver City Senior Center for extra activities. I would highly recommend Palm Court to anyone!

As a facility it seems good. The extremely kind and attentive staff are great, and it's quite clean. It leans very old age-wise, which is something to keep in mind since the people living there generally aren't very active. But there is a great senior center next door that has tons of classes, meet ups, etc., so that helps a lot. There are outings once in a while to museums, etc., too. The property is very well kept, and it feels like a condo building, which is nice. It's welcoming to all. But there's one huge minus: The food. From others I've spoken to when I've eaten there a few times, the food used to be good when Palm Court was owned privately, and now it's owned by a corporation that runs retirement homes. It's not an exaggeration to say that the food is quite awful, especially dinners (breakfast and lunch are ok but generally not great). It's like most of the nutrients and flavor have been cooked out. Once in a while there's a good dinner, but usually not. It's a shame because this will be the last place some of the people there will live, and to have that kind of food is kind of demeaning...good food is part of a good life. And again: It used to be good from what others who have been there longer tell us (apparently they actually used to be known for their good food!), but dinners especially are simply terrible right now. Food is important and Palm Court fails significantly there, so I can't recommend it heartily unless you or your parent/loved one is someone who doesn't care about having good food. I highly recommend they change that.

My mother has moved into Palm Court Retirement Living. The staff is friendly. They have many amenities. They have the availability if you need a live-in caregiver there. They have excellent food and reasonable pricing. They have happy hours, movie nights, and card games. They have a good variety of food and an excellent salad bar. Food is available throughout the day. They have a chef there, who will cook to order. It's very clean. They do deep cleaning in the rooms once a week, and they clean the room every day. It's a great location.

Since the beginning of 2022 Palm Court in Culver City has really gone downhill. The food has been cut in half and is now brought in and not made in the kitchen so nothing is fresh. They have become very cheap and lazy in regards to serving food. There are no snacks or drinks for the residents outside of their meager meals. The room is beautiful but it's an old old building with cockroaches and it's not uncommon to have floods. I'm so sorry because it was a nice place just one year ago and it's shocking how fast it has fallen.

Palm Court Retirement Living is the best of the best. It's a lot of money, but it's still the best. It's perfect. It's very private, luxurious, very nice like you're going on vacation somewhere and you have everything. It's a small studio, but with everything, a nice, modern bathroom. In the corner, there's a little, kind of kitchen, so you can put a microwave for example, and then super, super, the balcony, or the terraza, the patio, is perfect for the first floor or the ground floor. The view of the bushes, the plants, they're beautiful. The street is like a private street.

Palm Court was a lovely place. Everything was luxurious. The problem is the money it would cost to be in that place. You pay for what you get. Nevertheless, what stood out to me is the freshness of the place, how it has been maintained, and how it has been kept up-to-date and fresh-looking. There is also a nice little place where they have coffee and juice bar. They also have the staff do your laundry for you. It is very much resort type feeling there. They showed us different size rooms, and the rooms were OK.

Palm Court was lovely. My father was familiar with it from some colleagues, and he felt comfortable there, which is why we picked it. They had a movie room, private restaurant, library, and lectures and were right next door to the senior center, so you could walk right over there for activities. They served three meals and had a new menu every day, plus a private menu. They had private rooms if you wanted to have guests and transportation available within the city. The staff was very friendly and very responsive. It was a very cheerful and happy place. Everyone seemed happy there. A lot my father's classmates lived there, so he knew quite a few people.

Palm Court Retirement Living was an excellent place. The apartment was nice with a kitchenette, an elegant bedroom, a dining room, and a nice bathroom. It had a lot of creative amenities. It had a piano room, a TV room, an arts and crafts room, a gym, and a dining room for special activities aside from the common everyday dining room. The entire place was clean and nice.

Everything at Palm Court was excellent. The apartments were beautiful. They had a movie theater, a fitness room, arts and crafts room, and all kinds of activities, like a walking club and all kinds of other things.
