This is the most home-like residential care facility I have visited or know of. The facility is quite nice, the staff is friendly, attentive and helpful, and the food/nutrition (which is really important--even to elders!) was also the best I've seen. Fresh, home-made soup, shrimp, salmon, fresh salad--it was a menu that my family members were happy to partake in when we visited Mom. The Activities Coordinator who served my mother was a delightful, caring and creative individual, and was terribly missed after he moved on. The staff was reliable: they regularly helped my mother (after she had gone to the memory care wing) to get set up on FaceTime calls with me and my other siblings who live far away. I am so happy that we moved my mother to Ivy Park from the other facility she was in ( tough decision!) and that she was able to pass in a supportive place I felt at peace about.

My father stayed here for 14 months and the staff misclassified his level of care in order to charge a higher monthly fee in the memory care unit. When we informed them that he was moving the reviewed his level of care and determined that he was misclassified and offered a substantially lower monthly fee if he stayed. A new management company took over the facility last year and there were staff cuts and no one follows up on emails or returns phone calls. Would not recommend this facility.

I toured Ivy Park at Bonita. The facility seemed more in line with what I needed for my mother in terms of her desire to walk. Everyone was very happy. They like to mingle together very well. The staff was good. They were very friendly. They have been there a long time which says a lot about them.

Ivy Park at Bonita was like a pretty, almost Victorian house that had a sunroom in the front, but it was kind of depressing. It looked like an old person's home. It was more like a very large house. The room that we saw was really big, which I liked, but it didn't have a private porch, and the view out the window was of the street, so there was quite a bit of street noise. It's kind of dark and people are sitting in the hallways. The staff was OK. The atmosphere just seemed kind of quiet and not particularly upbeat. The residents were just quietly meandering around. I just didn't see a lot of social activity.

I toured Ivy Park at Bonita. I liked that it was smaller for memory care. I liked the layout of the property, the rooms, and the dining room. I liked the size of the rooms. They are clean. They didn't smell. I didn't see anything concerning as far as cleanliness and upkeep. It was older but it was very well-kept. The staff was very welcoming and friendly.

I liked the staff at Ivy Park at Bonita; they were very welcoming. This one had more of a homey feel, like it was a house. They were very informative. They also had events to kind of get the residents involved. They had what they call "A Taste of Ivy" event. It just happened that we came upon that that night. They gave us a sample of their stir fry. The chef was cooking it out, and I thought it was good. They also gave us a drink that they made their own syrup for and they gave us a bottle of it. They also gave us homemade cookies that I don't know if the chef made, but that was also delicious. I liked how they gave you a chance to kind of check out a little bit of what they have to offer.

My mother-in-law already moved here. I like that it's on the small side, and that she would get really good care. I liked all of the people that we met. They were very very good, very helpful, and everything that we needed to do to get her in there. In the memory care unit they have bible studies, they have bingo, flower arranging, and baking classes. They have a lot of stuff if she wants to participate.

I liked them. I liked the lower levels that they had there. Everything was very beautiful. The rooms were OK, they were big, they were fine, and they had all the equipment people normally have to use for the day. I'd really like to go back probably, but I want to arrange for the seniors to go with me so that they can see that it's beautiful because didn't have any pictures. The staff was wonderful and excellent.

I love them; however, they didn't have a bed available when we went down there. It was beautiful. What I like about it was that they talk to everybody, they had trips out, and they knew everybody's name. All of the people who were in there really seemed to like the people that they were talking to. They felt like they were friends as much as their caretakers. They had community dogs that were trained to be with the residents. You can have your own dog in there if you want, but they have these dogs that come around. It was nice and very calming for the people. They had a beautiful place and I like the people that I talked to. All the people who were in there acted like they really liked it, too. They gave us a meal, and their food was very good and tasty. They were something that you would really want to eat. They also had a couple of different things you could order. Their facilities were far superior to others.

We toured and that was gorgeous. You can just walk around the path outside, and it's just gorgeous. They even allow dogs there, and they have a couple of house dogs that live with everybody. Honestly, you could just see the delight in the people's faces when the dogs came out. I really liked that too, but it's just a little too far for us to go to. There was a lot of traffic. The staff member was great, and she was wonderful. They have a barbershop, and they can get their nails done.

It had what I was looking for and was a beautiful facility. Two little dogs come and greet you. Everything seemed great. I took my mom there on Friday, but she caught a flu and I had to bring her to the hospital. The place was great. I thought it was a very nice facility. They did a good job there and had contact with residents. They had walking clubs, bingo, and exercise classes. However, you had to be able to get up and do these stuff yourself or be encouraged by whoever was taking care of you. It was a great facility, which was why I chose it for my mom.

My mother is here. The people seem very nice and friendly. They are always helpful when I call. They go outside to do things, but she is not really involved in much of that. They do have a bus that will take her to her doctor's appointment, or she can take a taxi. They communicate pretty well. When I ask questions, they answer, and they get back to me if they do not have an answer. They are doing pretty well. I am satisfied with the care. She is eating three times a day, and that's all that matters. She has roof over her head, and she is getting healthier.

We chose this facility for my father in law. He has dementia related to multiple health issues. He is currently on hospice care at the facility in their memory care unit. The staff is fantastic. He is in a companion room which is perfect. He only shares a bathroom and kitchenette area with another resident. They each have their on bedroom. The room is bright and cheerful. We were able to decorate it however we wanted. We visit each day and he is always clean, well groomed and happy. He does not lay around in his room all day but is up and encouraged to be engaged with other residents and staff. He was able to keep his dog even though he requires assistance feeding and walking him. There are large common living rooms and dining rooms which are decorated in a homey environment. Every time we are there the residents are engaged with staff in activities or enjoying thier surroundings. Any little thing we mention to staff is taken care immediately. He is very happy there and we are gratefull for his care. I am in the health care field and know what to look for in the care. This care is excellent.
