I chose Brookdale Chandler Ray Road for my mom because its very close to my home. I also like the aesthetic of the facility. It wasnt fancy and didnt feel like we were entering a country club, which is not my mothers aesthetic at all. She has been there since March. They seem to be very interactive with activities. I would recommend them. The director and the wellness director are very knowledgeable and willing to work with you. Theyre great to work with, very communicative, informative and fair. They wont push unnecessary amenities or treatments on you if your loved one doesnt need it.

I toured Brookdale Chandler Ray Road. The community was fine. The rooms were small. But what was nice is that they have onsite PT and OT, and they have their own room in the back. So that part was good. However, it smelled there, reminding me of something being masked. It wasn't horrible, it's just like they're trying to make something smell better. That was probably my one thing. It's just there was a little something that wasn't right. I saw a few of the residents and they seemed perfectly content there, visiting and chatting away, which was good. The staff who gave the tour was great. He was very informative and very helpful. He has reached out a few times just to ask if we needed any further guidance or things like that, so he was very kind. Overall, it's a very, very nice presenting place from the outside. The inside was good, but it was the smell that got me in there.

Brookdale Chandler Ray Road was a lovely community and very appealing, but the fact that the room that the staff showed me was so small bothered me. I know he has bigger rooms, and I would be willing to look at that, but if I had to make a choice today, Brookdale would not be the one I would choose. The staff was excellent. He was very well informed and he understood very much my needs. He was trying very hard to meet my needs, so I was very impressed with him. I saw the dining area, but I did not get to eat their food. This place only had 45 residents, so there's a very small dining area, but it was very, very clean. They had tablecloths on the table. It was just very nice. It was so cold we didn't go outside, but through the windows, it looked like a lovely place to sit and visit, walk around a little bit, or just sit in the sun and read a book.

My tour of Brookdale Chandler Ray Road was really good. The person was very helpful and very understanding of our needs and everything and showed us everything nicely. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms were plenty large enough for my aunt. They were clean and very nice. They're not furnished though. You have to bring your own furniture like a bed and dresser and stuff like that. One thing I was concerned about is my aunt is gluten-free, and I asked about that, and they said, no, they didn't have any special diet for dietary needs and stuff. Wherever my aunt goes, she's going to need gluten-free, so I was kind of surprised that they wouldn't be able to do that. With regards to activities, there were some planned puzzles, I'm sure they have other things, but I didn't pay that much attention to them. My aunt would need the beauty shop because she likes that, and they have one of those.

We went to Brookdale Chandler Ray Road, and we like it. It's close to our house, so it's convenient. It just seemed comfortable. We also like the fact they have a microwave and a refrigerator in the room. The guy who toured me around was polite and helpful. They have a dining room and a little outdoor area. It would have been nice if they had a pool. It was well kept. It's an older place.

Brookdale Chandler Ray Road was nice. The lady I talked to who showed me around was very knowledgeable, nice, and we talked for quite a while. The place looked comfortable, and the residents can go around, and there were many places where they could sit. They had a nice outdoor area, it was really nice. They still have this hospital kind of feel, maybe because people are sitting around in wheelchairs and stuff, which is to be expected. But it's a nice place if you want to do that.

Where do I begin?? I wouldn't send my dog to this Facility. Regretfully I was lured in by their FAKE CARING ATTITUDES and lies as to how well they would care for my mom. Her first night there, she fell and ended up with facial bruising which looked like she had been in a serious auto accident. After that hospice sent her to Serenity Hospice to regulate her medicines. She was gone for a few days and never experienced a fall. Upon returning to Brookdale, we received a call in the middle of the night that my mom had AGAIN FALLEN and split her head open and was at ER in Chandler. After this incident she returned to Brookdale from ER and we hired someone to sit with her all night @ $22/hr for 12 hrs/night, for a week until which time we could locate another facility. We ended up finding a FANTASTIC home for mom where the Caregivers actually CARE for the residents! It's a shame that a place like Brookdale Ray Rd can remain in business considering the treatment of the residents needing specialized care which they said they could provide. My mom ended up with a stay of approximately 10 days and now we are being sent bills from the COLLECTION AGENCY demanding $3700.00...........we have made many attempts to resolve this with HEATHER, but to no avail. Please think twice before sending your loved ones to this awful, awful, awful FACILITY

My grandmother was a resident. Clean facility but staff turn over is faster than you can remember their names. Twice I found Granni soaking in her urine and neglected and because of low hearing, the staff ignore even trying to communicate with her, I would not recommend this facility and don't listen to the empty promises the marketing folks make to suck you in because they don't deliver.

Brookdale Chandler Ray Road was a smaller facility. I liked all of the Brookdales and didn’t have any problems with any of them, actually. They were all fantastic facilities, and I would have chosen any one of them.

Brookdale touts itself as a place of caring and family however they failed to either for my 98 year old grandmother. Twice my family members found her in dire situations, once on the toilet and once of the floor. We don't know how long she was on both screaming for help. After falling she became ill and was taken to the hospital, after which she was admitted to hospice care. Although Brookdale gave us a prorated rate on the month in which she entered the facility they did not return the favor for the month that she left the facility. She was in Brookdale for less than 30 days, yet we were stuck paying $6,800. They come on as loving, sweet and genuinely caring and in the end they are corporation where your loved one is just a name with money to fill their bank accounts. There is no compassion or understanding and we generally felt there was also a lack of care for our 98 year old grandmother. I would not recommend this Brookdale or any Brookdale to anyone looking for assisted living care.

We went to visit a couple of the Brookdale locations. The ladies that we talked to that were showing the facility were very nice. The facility is very nice. I would not complain in the way that they look, but the room was a little small. My mom felt that she was more confined. When we went, people were just sitting in their wheelchair, and there wasn't a lot of movement. They did have a room available. It is still more like a hotel kind of facility, but it was more wide open and a little bit roomier. The room felt very small -- almost like a hospital room. But beside that, I like it. It looked clean, well-kept, and maintained. The people at the door were friendly. I did like that the people who took care of the residents there are friendly.

Thank you for visiting and taking the time to share your thoughts about our community. We realize that our rooms are smaller than many expect. Most of our residents are downsizing, which can be a difficult transition. Residents do not need as many items in our setting, as we provide many items and activities!

My visit at Brookdale Chandler Ray Road was OK. If somebody was interested in their units, I would recommend this place. It was a fine property. They answered my questions. They gave me a very nice tour. The facility looked pretty good.

I toured Sterling House, and that's the one we really liked. The staff seemed to be really caring, nice, and helpful. The living accommodations were really personable and comfortable. When we toured there, it was actually lunchtime, and the food was good. They also showed us their activities and what they do. They had a beauty shop, and there was an outside area, where they could walk, if they wanted to walk for a while

From what I could see the sanitation of Sterling House of Chandler seemed fine, but they just didn’t have the kitchenette and the private patio access that we would like for my aunt. The staff who toured me around the facility seemed nice. Overall, I thought the facility is okay and I do not see why I should not recommend this to others.

The care Denise provides my mother has given me a huge sense of relief and calm. I have great confidence in her abilities and trust her judgement completely. She is an amazing nurse and I'm very grateful she is a huge part of "Mom's Team".

My great grandmother (96 years old) lives here. We moved her here last year after a few bad falls. It is amazing. They have nurses 24/7 and they check up on the residences often-even while sleeping. They have activities and field trips. It's really amazing. Family is welcome anytime of day or night. They make you feel very welcome. They also know my great grandmother by name and what she enjoys doing and so on. Great place. I was really worried when she first moved in but it really is a nice place. It's clean and large. Residents have their own spaces also.

I actually like Sterling House. It was a newer facility and I thought it was very nicely set up. The people were very friendly. The one who assisted me and gave me a good tour was extremely nice. I also sampled their food and it was definitely nice. The facility was very nice but I just thought it may be a little too open for my husband and that he might need a little bit more care than they offer.

Sterling House is older, but it was homey. I didn't really see many staff, but from what the tour director told me, they have an LPN 24 hours a day. Although it seemed like the non-medical staff was limited compare to the number of residents that they have. So that was a concern. They made it sound good, but it just seemed like the numbers didn't add up to me. The rooms were very small studio type rooms.
