We are pretty locked to Legacy Ridge Trussville, but it's two years away. Everyone was extremely pleasant including the residents that were there. They all spoke very highly of the facility and the people in it, and it was very encouraging to us. It's just very comforting and it certainly meets our expectations. Their apartments are very acceptable. They have a craft room and an exercise room. The general layout was very convenient. They offer housekeeping, too.

We visited Legacy Ridge Trussville. It was all right; I would say it's not quite as new and not quite as well kept up as the other place we saw. In the apartments, they have a chest of drawers. I think they were some rooms that had a small kitchen, and maybe some that didn't. You provide your own bed and your own bedside table. They didn't provide quite as much furniture. There was a refrigerator in a common area, like a group room-type area. Their outside area was pleasant enough, they have a little back garden or backyard walk around in. The staff who took me around seemed like they were a little bit busy.

My sister and I went to the Legacy Ridge Trussville. We didn't care for it at all. There were mismatched furniture everywhere. They didn't have specific rooms for activities. They just combined them in this little room. It was a small place, and there was just nothing there. The rooms were small, and they were overpriced. We didn't care for it at all. It was a small place, and it was at the low end of the spectrum after seeing the other two nice places. The staff was good. She was really kind, sweet, and doting over my mother showing her around and explaining things. She followed up with phone calls. The place was clean. However, the personal mailboxes were outside uncovered for them to go to. There were only 48 rooms. They were small, and they overcharged them.

I went to Legacy Ridge Trussville. It's a very nice place. They were very nice. It was very clean. The staff said it was updated. The color and the decor were very pleasant. It was soft and soothing. They also had a beauty salon. I only met a couple of the staff members. I met the lady who's the one in charge of getting the residents move-in, and then I did meet one of the nurse's aides. But they were very, very nice. The lady called me several times. We just chatted for the sake of chatting. She's extremely nice and knowledgeable.

I recently visited this community and wanted to share with others considering moving here. They have very spacious rooms. Plenty large enough for your belongings. The entire building was kept clean and fresh. The people I met along the way were pleasant and charming. They were all smiling and enjoying their day. A variety of activities were offered on their calendar. I was able to see residents during a meal and they all said they love the food served. The overall monthly rate is fairly priced and they offer full care options. Legacy Ridge is at the top of my list for assisted living!

We toured Legacy Ridge Trussville. They needed a lot of work. They needed to upgrade things and come down on the price. The facility was awesome. The staff could have been a lot better. The food was good. It's in a good location. The apartments were a nice size, but I think they're overcharging. The dining area was good and nice. I like the fact that there was plenty of doors that the residents could go out of to get in their car, and that's pretty much it. However, every person I talked to would say something different than the person before as far as activities, food, price, what they do, and what they don't do. Everybody gave us something different.

Legacy Ridge Trussville has bingo almost every day, and my mother loves bingo. They have planned activities for the memory care residents. They seem to check on the residents more often, and they seem to have more staff present that I could see and talk to. They're clean and it was a more home-like environment. The staff members were all very friendly and seemed very experienced so I was very pleased with that. They had a beautiful garden area, they had a shaded area and they had an area where the residents that are wheelchair-bound can have access to a path. There's a path that went through the garden, and they did some hands-on activities out there.

Legacy Ridge Trussville was very quiet when I first stepped inside. The apartment that I saw was small and kind of bare-bones; it was minimal. The person who gave me the tour was as nice as she could be. The dining room was very nice, but I did not test the food. There wasn't much going on. I didn't see anybody out of their rooms.

My husband is at Sunrise Ridge. The first impression is that it smells good. The entry is attractive, very clean, and smells good all the time. The staff is very caring and personable. They have activities every day, like bingo, checkers, puzzles, movies, singing, and an Easter egg hunt. The marketing person was great.
