We placed mom at The Gables at Charlton Place Assisted Living two years ago. She's on the assisted living side. It's nice. They keep it all nice and clean. Her room is pretty big. There's plenty of room for her to navigate around in a wheelchair. The staff is doing better now. There was another lady there that they let go or something happened there, but they've changed up a little bit, so things are better than they were for a little while there. They do movies, they have ice cream, they have a piano, and sometimes they have people play. I think they do a shopping thing with them, too, so they keep a lot going on for entertainment. They do good on the food. I haven't had any complaints from her, maybe once or twice over a long period of time, so they do good on that.

The rooms are really spacious and nice, but if you do have maintainence issues, it may be weeks before they are addressed. Life there, at this time is pretty miserable because of covid, no chapel, very limited visitation, and an almost constant lock down NOT because the residence have covid, but because the staff are not required to be vaccinated, and consequently come down with it putting my mom at risk and prolonging the prison like atmosphere.
