My mother is at Morningside of Auburn. We looked at several, and we chose them because of the proximity to her home, the cost, the services they could provide, their online assessment as far as surveys, and information from previous or current folks that are using the facility. We took all those kinds of things into account. Her room is a pretty typical assisted living room and it meets her needs. It has a small kitchenette and it's nice. The food has been good. They've had a little bit of staff turnover, but it's still been really good. They do a lot of games, and they're able to provide services for local transportation to and from the doctor and for minor shopping. The value for money is really good.

We recently moved our mom to Morningside Auburn and cannot begin to tell you how positive a move it has been. The experience started with having met the Executive Director who clearly leads by example. Whether it's helping serve a meal, walk a tenant back their room, clean spots off the carpet or simply greeting everyone by name, she is always looking after the best interests of the residents. Her attitude and leadership is embodied in every staff member we have had the pleasure to get to know. They all treat our mom like their own mom and genuinely care about her well being. Lastly, the facility is gorgeous, calming and welcoming all at the same time. Simply watching moms interaction with the staff and other residents and the smile on her face helps support our belief that moving mom to Morningside was a great decision.

I recently visited Morningside looking for a place for my mom. They were so accommodating to meet me at a time convenient for me since I am out of town. The staff was very friendly and I could tell the residents seem happy. I really liked the one bedroom, it was very spacious. The community was very inviting. Unfortunately, after talking to the director my mom had memory issues that would not qualify her to be there. I would however highly recommend Morningside to anyone looking for a place for their parents.

Morningside of Auburn would not accept her as she needed too much care for what they provided. The people working there were very nice. It was clean, and everyone seemed to be interacting with the residents, but it was not a facility that she really could get to, and I was meeting with the manager with my mother. The one that they had available was fine and larger than the one that she is in now, and it had a little kitchen.

We're about to get my mother moved in to the Morningside of Auburn. It had a very good reputation. We went and toured the facility and it was outstanding. It was clean and very well organized. I felt comfortable putting my mother there. The room that we got for her is adequate, but she is on the waiting list for a larger one.

I've visited Morningside 3 times over the past 2 months as part of a community service project through Auburn University. The staff always make us feel welcome and the residents never get enough of us visiting. The facility itself is very nice. The furnishings are modern and comfortable, the place is always very clean and the grounds are well landscaped with lots of blooming flowers. The residents seem to be very active and have a number of groups that form for things like poker and bingo. The staff seems to genuinely care for the residents often joining them in activities. There is also a rather large park with a pond and healthy songbird population adjacent to the facility that many of the residents frequent for walks. While I haven't eaten at Morningside the food looks much more appetizing than in facilities I've visited in the past. Overall it seems like a very good place for active seniors to live.
