The agency has provided very good care for my wife, who is only 56, but on hospice due to several life ending diagnosis. The staff has grown with us in understanding what my wife needs, she is a difficult case due to her age. She has rebounded several times, and each time the staff has assisted me in new care for her. We have biweekly visits with a home nurse who has been a god send to us during this time. We couldn't ask for more care. I understand not each person has a glowing review, and at times I have felt I could have been more informed, but this is not medical doctor care, this is hospice. My wife and I dictate what treatments we want, and they guide us as best they can to help us become better at this hospice way of care. I give 4 stars, because there is always room for improvement, but I would recommend PPPHC to anyone who asks.

The staff that was sent out to explain the hospice services lacked the knowledge she needed to have for our family. She mentioned that she was related to the "boss" as of that offered comfort to us. I resigned contracts several times before they got it right

PPHPC is a terrible place for hospice care. It was referred for my mother's care. First assessment to our home and ask if I am with my mother 24/7. I advised no. I do leave my house at times. I have to. I have life alert and ARLO system in place. She is self sufficient, milddementia. My mom wants me to care for her rather than a stranger. Just because I disagreed with the case worker, Dawn D and nurse, Ashley B about my moms needs they call the police and DHS in less than 24 hours on me. No communications nothing. They don't take the time to look at the bigger picture and the familys best decisions to care for a loved one. Instead they jump to their own conclusions after meeting only 20 minutes with my mom and me. The police and DHS both came out and advised my mother was in the best care after looking at what her setup was and talking to her. I spoke to Brandy R and at first she sounded like she cared about my concerns in their process than she became short and rude in her communications. This place is awful. DO NOT USE THEM! Even the DHS case worker gave me a couple of different Hospice companies in El Paso County that were much better.

My father received Pikes Peak Hopsice services at the assisted living he was living at. All of the nurses, the counselor and chaplain were helpful to him and our family in a very crucial time in our lives. He died peacefully and in no pain.

I would have wanted to know that they were going to take 14 hours to come see my brother after he had fallen out of bed!! They also need to keep better track of medications to be administered. I only rated with one star because I had to.

We were extremely impressed with our care, until suddenly they let go of our nurse. We had been immensely impressed by her professionalism, thoroughness and care. Suddenly, with only about 2 weeks left , we have been notified that we will not have a regular nurse for a while! We are heart broken over the loss and would move if we found out she was hired by another provider! It seems that their management leaves something to be desired. We would definitely not use Pikes Peak hospice again.
