Top In-Home Care and Home Health Care Agencies Earn National Distinction for Outstanding Service and Satisfaction

The award-winning senior care agencies recognized as Caring Stars stand out for consistently high ratings and outstanding service, as shared by senior clients and their families.

Originally launched in 2012 as the first of its kind in the senior living industry and expanded to include senior care in 2017, the Caring Stars program is backed by nearly 400,000 consumer reviews meeting stringent standards. This nationally-recognized annual list highlights the most highly-rated senior care agencies to help seniors and families make well-informed, confident choices while selecting aging-in-place care services.

For Caring Stars 2025: 345 agencies in 46 states and the District of Columbia earned the distinction, with the highest concentrations in California (with 41 winning agencies), Texas (32), Florida (22), New Jersey (20), and Illinois (17).  Among the winners: 272 have earned Caring Stars status in 3 or more years since 2017, and are being recognized as “Caring Super Stars.” 

The Making of a “Caring Star”

To qualify for Caring Stars 2025, agencies had to have a stellar reviews profile on Caring.com by October 15, 2024, with:

  • An overall average rating of 4.5 stars or higher;
  • Demonstrated excellence in total published review volume (across all time) and recent reviews (between 10/15/23-10/15/24), with at least one 5-star review in 2024; and
  • Public responses to the feedback (with at least one published review response on their profile, and published responses for every 1-star or 2-star negative review). 

Caring also conducted an extensive audit of every review on each agency finalist’s reviews page, re-evaluating nearly 68,000 reviews to uphold review publication validity and ensure award integrity.

Any senior care agency with an exceptional reviews profile on Caring.com is eligible for Caring Stars consideration. Agencies are selected for the Caring Stars distinction based on merit, without needing to apply, partner, or advertise with Caring.com. Also, Caring doesn’t charge fees for review surveys, promotional licensing of the Caring Stars badge, or other reviews services it offers (including an award-winning reviews-by-phone service manned by highly-trained, experienced review-collection agents).  Families and seniors can trust that this award reflects a rigorous, transparent process rooted in genuine consumer feedback and well-established quality standards.
