My brother is a resident at the Auberge facility in Sugar Land. Prior to being a resident here he was at another facility in Sugar Land and was so unhappy that it had an affect on his well being. He was moved to Auberge in Sugar Land and he is a different person. He has short term memory but other then that he is very functional. Clients are well cared for, staff is constantly active with clients, cheerful, and integrated with individuals who are on the functional level except for programs where everyone is together. I have yet to go there that I haven’t seen staff doing puzzles, artwork and other activities. There are gardens a work bench, a little golf area, areas to sit outside and bleachers so residents can watch sporting activities at the school next to the facility. There are animals, tv areas, etc. I was there during lunch and the food is nourishing, well prepared and pretty good. They do patient assessment on an ongoing basis and constantly communicating with the family. They have physical and occupational therapy on site. It is very clean with no smell, music playing, a large fish tank, and staff are always friendly and clean. Private rooms are few but a client is allowed to decorate and a display cabinet is outside each room so clients can display a few important items. I can only say that I have peace of mind and would highly recommend this facility to anyone. It may be small but it certainly mighty

My wife was a resident at Auberge for two years. She received excellent care from the staff and care givers. During her tour with Alzheimers she resided in other memory care units, but none compared with Auberge. I visited my wife on a regular basis and had an excellent relationship with the staff. Her care could not have been better, nice rooms, good food, with plenty of resident activities. You could not choose a better home for your loved one.

My wife was here for 2 yrs, 3 months and 13 days. I couldn't have found a better place for her. The staff has become just like family to me. I certainly couldn't have given her better care at home. They engaged her in activities at every turn. But if she wasn't interested, they never pushed it. They let you visit at all hours of the day, they have nothing to hide. They consistently have people from the outside come in for singing, dancing and even church services. They celebrate almost every holiday with the residence. I think the biggest plus, is they treat them with the utmost respect and dignity. If there are any negatives, I cant think of any. They were constantly asking for my feed back. If some small matter come up, they were quick to address it.

Silverado Sugar Land was the best facility I saw. It's mainly for people who are just cognitively impaired but still mobile and able to be stimulated by activities (their specialty). The staff was very professional, informative, and caring. They have beautiful grounds. It has more acreage and it's a more secure place, but it's hard to find and it's kind of in an industrial area. The activities are outstanding, very individualized, and very man-friendly. In some places, the activities are too childish because the staff assumed they're mentally challenged and that they do childhood things. Here, they do more adult activities, which is more respectful.

My dad was at Silverado. They didn’t give my dad a lot of care. They didn’t check on him. It was the first place he went after living at home for some time. Their dining room was fine. It was an open area with tables, and food. Overall, we were not happy with our experience there. The place did not meet our needs.

My dad was at Silverado Sugar Land. My experience with them was excellent. Their front door was locked; that was the only way you could go in and out. No one could come in and leave without their permission. I like that. Also they had animals there that belong to the facility. They're big on pet therapy. I just really love that place a lot. However, the largeness, I think, was not best thing for my dad. They did tons of things that include everybody. I would definitely recommend this place. If I was going to be in some place, that's where I would want to be if I had the money. Luckily, my dad had several pensions, so it helped him to be able to afford the care. Their food was excellent too. I really have the fondness for this place, but my dad thrives better in a smaller environment that is almost like being at home.

Silverado Sugar Land was magnificent. It was a very nice home with very spacious rooms. I like it because it was set up as a one-story facility. The dining room was big as well. They do have memory care for my mom, but it was extremely expensive. It was a little gloomy only because most of the residents were very older residents, and the majority of them have a need for memory care, so it's a little depressing. The staff was nice.

We moved my dad here at Silverado, and it is fantastic. We are very happy. The rooms are nice and clean. The staff is very professional, and they understand the different levels and types of dementia. They assist families and residents as they progress with the disease.

One thing my brother and I really liked about Silverado Sugar Land was the lady that gave us the tour and talked to us, and she just really gave us a lot of wonderful information. One of the drawbacks was that all of the rooms mainly -- unless you want to spend a lot of money -- were double occupancy, and you could not bring your own furniture. They had single beds for you. Also when I walked in, there were activities everywhere. It was very loud -- almost too much sensory for me -- because a lot of activities were going on in a lot of different open places.
Provider Response
Thank you for recognizing our amazing staff. Our wonderful associates provide exceptional care and unmatched service that is truly valued by family members. As you noticed, Silverado Sugar Land is a warm, lively place where hobbies and interaction flourish and engagement is constant. We offer personalized engagement plans that are individualized to each resident’s specific needs and preferences We are sensitive to the needs of residents that may need quieter activities and, therefore, offer a variety of age-appropriate activities. Creating a safe, lively environment where residents can thrive is our top priority. We have found that many of our residents benefit from sharing a double occupancy room and are more likely to remain active and social. We encourage residents to bring their own furniture, photos and trinkets to make their room feel like home! Thanks again for taking the time to share your feedback.

Silverado Sugar Land Memory Care Community would be the first one that I would choose for a memory care facility. They've got a lot of hospitality because the rooms were very, very nice. They have one-on-one activity as far as memory care in-group activities. They've got several dining areas and a twenty-four hour café. They just have a lot of different opportunities and one-on-one care as opposed to where she is in terms of memory care and working with the patients. They also had assisted living and the rooms were very nice. They were large and more independent type living facilities that were down a long hallway. I met some of the residents and they seemed happy to be there. There was a lot of stuff and a couple of activities going on in an area with some of the patients in memory care like wine tasting, photo shoots, and things like that. It was a very nice facility. The grounds are very secure, and they've got a lot of different areas.

I do like Silverado Senior Living. I like the physical, open-air layout. It has two courtyards where they allow the residents to roam. Other places that I've been to were a little too restrictive and complained too much. The facility was secured. The staff is really good; I don't have any complaints. They have active staff, and they're fully staffed. When it comes to activities, they're on top of it. Every time I go in there, they have a person who's designated to work activities. They're really good in medication management, too. As far as the residents' overall health and well-being goes, I think it's good that they allow them to roam, so long as they keep an eye on them. I think the price is probably a bit higher than it should be.

Silverado Senior Living appeared to be a very nice facility; however, it was a little more pricey than the others. The staff who assisted me was very helpful and very informative. The rooms seemed to be adequate. In terms of activities, they did have several of them but in my wife's condition she wouldn't be able to participate in any of them. Nevertheless, they seemed to have a pretty complete package, they were just a little bit out of my price range.

There are many caregivers here that are worth their weight in gold. They really do love their residents and provide them with excellent care. As with anywhere, there are some workers that are not so dedicated. Overall, I am satisfied with the care team and how they have handle our family's situation.

I found Silverado Senior Living on the Internet and I went there to visit. The location was aboout twenty minutes from our house so it was a little far. They had both small and medium-sized rooms. I liked that the rooms and bathrooms were very clean. The staff was nice and they offered drinks and food. There was an activity board in the hallway which reflected the different activities everyday for the whole month. It would be better if they update their furniture where the residents watched television and if they provided television in all the rooms and not just in the bigger rooms. They could also use a little landscaping and more flowers in the courtyard.

I would highly recommend Silverado. They took excellent care of my aunt but their services were very expensive. They're very well organized and the place was clean. They had 24-hour care. The meals and the staff were wonderful. They had entertainment like a beautiful piano, which was played by one of the staff. I have nothing but praise for them. My aunt loved to go in there. I just couldn't afford it anymore. It's strictly private paying so they did not accept insurance, Medicare, Medicaid.

We decided to visit Silverado Senior Living - Sugar Land assisted living facility as we really liked the area and it was convenient for my brother's friend's family. The outer grounds featured a lovely courtyard with beautifully landscaped trees and seating areas to enjoy. The design and decor had an open-air feel. The building appeared very well maintained. The accommodations resembled what could be found in an upscale motel - with even more amenities. The activities we saw ranged from board games, to discussions, private reading and watching film and TV and socializing. The dining rooms were beautiful and the food and snacks looked nutritious and appetizing. The many activity rooms and lounges were all nicely decorated. The staff is well-versed at taking care of a variety of types of people. The planned outside activities regularly include everything from visiting local restaurant favorites, to public library events and day trips to nearby regions. The living spaces were well-designed and spacious. There is plenty of professional, yet friendly staff to take care of basic needs. All of the areas were pleasant to be in and we could see that the residents thought so, too. They have planned exercise classes - but also offer residents to work out on equipment. We liked that they encourage exercise each day. We are glad we took the time to look at this facility and it is in the running as one of the better places we visited in the region so far. Anyone who lived in this environment is sure to be quite content with the many amenities and kind staff.

Not only does the outside looks good so do the inside. It seems really cozy and quiet in the area its in. It has really changed over the years since it moved under new management. It smells good when first entering. The rooms are pretty good size some are partner rooms some are single rooms. There are alarms on the doors just in case someone was to walk out. Nice recreational room for activity time there. When walking through the staff is really polite.
