I visited a friend at Sunrise of Pikesville. It's a very picturesque community. It's a very nice building. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My friend's room felt like an actual bedroom in her home. It's very spacious. It kind of has two parts, like where her bed is, and then a welcome area, like a living room area type thing. She also has a little kitchen nook area. The room that she has is very nice and very adequate. The staff was very friendly and very professional. They had a gathering area where all the guests could come together and do activities and watch TV, that type of thing. They had quite a few people in that area. It was a very nice experience. They did bring her dinner while I was there, but I didn't get to try the food. Her family is very pleased. I only saw one activity. I guess it was movie time or something.

We went and looked at Sunrise of Pikesville. The facility was nice, clean, and bright. It looked like the residents were enjoying themselves when we visited. The staff was very attentive. If someone had a call for assistance, they responded quickly, which was important to us. They had a nice menu. They had lots of choices for residents. The activities were also very nice. The rooms were nice. There were a lot of different options for size and different price points, which we liked. We especiall...

I like Sunrise of Pikesville. I certainly did not rule them out. Everybody that I spoke to was very accommodating as far as answering questions. However, they had no one-bedrooms and they didn't stand out in my mind.

Sunrise of Pikesville had little apartments arranged in little neighborhoods. I thought that was a cute idea. They were very attentive to the people that they were working with. They were friendly and interested in helping the residents to become the best they could be. The rooms were not traditional in their shapes, which was kind of fun. You could make them your own. The way they had it decorated was just very cozy and inviting. I think the facility was pretty centrally located. They were of...

My mother will be moving into Sunrise of Pikesville. My overall experience was a 10, with 10 being the highest. The staff took us around and we were able to see various models and choices for living, which allowed us to better picture my mom moving into that facility. The atmosphere was friendly and it was clean. The caregivers were working with the seniors that were there in a friendly and calm manner. I chose them because it's an active senior living community where the seniors are actively e...

My brother has moved into Sunrise of Pikesville. So far, it's been excellent. The people are outstanding. They help you and they make sure you have everything you needed. They keep me informed of everything that's going on. They had dinner parties, gatherings, lunch, and a Hawaiian party. The staff is really good. They're really helpful. They told me that he got washed up. They let me know everything. My brother told me the food was good. It's nice in there. They got plenty of activities.

I toured Sunrise of Pikesville. That was nice. The person who came out, she's like the sales coordinator, and she talked about every aspect of the facility. Then she took us on a nice tour. We talked about my relative that we're interested in putting in, and she even reserved a spot, and she's holding it for like about five more days while we try and convince my cousin that this is what he needs. The apartment has a bed, dresser, and one other item of furniture that I can't remember. There's a l...

Sunrise of Pikesville was a nice facility. The staff member who gave me the tour was nice, friendly, personable, and very professional. They had good activities. It was in a pretty good location. It's right off the Beltway, which is convenient for people that want to visit.

Sunrise of Pikesville is a very nice facility. They were very professional, very welcoming, and very knowledgeable. The place looks professionally run as well. It looks like a hotel. Then they have a certain area in which the residents could engage with each other.

The person that showed us around Sunrise of Pikesville was very helpful, very polite, and tried to answer all my questions. The memory care area seemed very nice and clean. There were plenty of areas for people to sit down and communicate with one another. They have a small central area where people could congregate for activities. Although I would have preferred a separate area with a large enough room, where people could attend certain activities. While we were there, they set up some plastic ...

We went to Sunrise of Pikesville. It was very nice, but it was expensive. It's very clean, the people were very mannered. Everybody was helpful. I love the nurses, the rooms were nice. I did like it. It's just that it was, it's for the rich, it was very expensive. But if we had the money, it would have been worth the care. I believe she would have had good care there. Everybody was awesome. The young lady, Gloria, that did the tour was phenomenal. They were very, very helpful, very resourceful, ...

We went to Sunrise of Pikesville. I knew somebody there. It's beautiful, lovely, and it was so nice. There was always something going on, and there were always people out and about. When you walk in, it's like a big hotel lobby, that's what it reminds me of, but it's people, people sitting, talking, and reading. When you're on a tour, everybody's nice, but when my friend was there, it seemed that everybody was very attentive. You have to push your little button, and sometimes they don't always c...

I visited Sunrise of Pikesville and saw their assisted and memory care. It's set up as a home family environment with individualized space for each resident. It's very warm, welcoming, and the staff was very accommodating in providing all the detailed answers to all of my questions. They have scheduled resident outings and in house events for the residents.

We went to Sunrise of Pikesville yesterday. Sunrise is a very, very nice place. It's a huge complex, and it was very clean. We loved everything about it except for there was an elderly lady sitting there when we came. She needed some attention, but she was sitting right where you came in. She said, "Somebody help me, is Mikey here today?" It was distressing, and it was sad. For the tour, we had Bianca. She was really great and down to earth. She was very informative. She gave us a lot of infor...

My mom stayed at Sunrise of Pikesville. She was in assisted living, but she was pretty independent, except for her medications. She moved into a first-floor apartment. As far as the care and the way they keep the place, I think that was good. My issue with them was billing. They got you in for the introductory rate -- I think it was $3400 a month -- then after the year was up, they tried to go to $4500. Then after the $4500, when we were already in the middle of the year lease period, they autom...

Sunrise of Pikesville provides very good service. The quality of the rooms was better, cheaper and higher quality than the other assisted living places we visited. The staff was very good, very knowledgeable, very helpful, and easy to approach. It was a very good experience. The dining area was very nice and easy to access and had clean tables. They had a lot of clubs like a walking club, movies, discussion groups, shopping, and outing. The facility was very nice. They would provide some limited...

Sunrise was beautiful. They were pleasant and very accommodating. I love the suite that they showed me, but it's too expensive. I met the chef, I saw the menu, and saw the residents enjoying it. I would choose the place, if not for the price.

Sunrise of Pikesville was gorgeous. They looked like dollhouses. The person that was supposed to give us all the information was unavailable, so they gave us another person. She didn't know all the things and was giving us whatever she could get, but she was very good, tried to answer our questions, and took us around. They all seemed enthusiastic. They had tons of activities. If it was me, I'd go there. I did not taste the food, but it smelled wonderful.

Sunrise of Pikesville was a nice place with a dog which made things very friendly. The residents we talked to were nice. They had several different sizes of rooms, which was what we were looking for. Bianca was very nice and knowledgeable. The food was adequate and the dining area doubled as an activity area, so it wasn't cozy and separate. They had a lot of hidden fees that add up. It just wasn’t for us.

We went to visit Sunrise of Pikesville, and it’s a very nice facility as well as it’s well staff. The people are very nice. They also have variety of rooms that you can choose from. They also provide continuity of care from independent to memory care, and that was one of the things that stand out to me. I also like the various activities that they have to keep their residents engaged

Sunrise of Pikesville was clean. It was fine. It had a lot of people in it. The person that I had contact with wasn’t there so the ones that were there could not answer all my questions, but the person called me the next day. They had a calendar of activities. The dining area looked good and was clean. There's a café, but I do not know if they had a separate dining room or not.

I like Sunrise of Pikesville very much. They try to do the best for their clients. They are very caring. They encourage friendship in this facility. They try to know what the resident’s background is, then they will put together residents with similar backgrounds. That way, they can meet new friends and mingle with residents of similar interests. Mom was from a rehab and she was in a wheelchair when she started living in this facility. They continued to do rehab on her through an agency and now,...

I didn’t choose Sunrise of Pikesville because I was not the least bit impressed. I saw people just sitting around doing nothing with no interaction by the medical staff. They showed me a room and that was it. They didn't show me anything else. The room was OK, but it didn’t turn me on. It was not what I wanted for my husband. I was not impressed.

Sunrise was very nice and very clean. It wasn’t as large as others, but the grounds were very well-kept and nicely landscaped. It had a great, big wrap-around front porch that had a bunch of rocking chairs on it where you could go out and sit, which I thought was nice.

Sunrise of Pikesville was nice, and they were friendly. They were having their lunch, and I don’t recall seeing activities at that time. I didn't care for the way their dining room was set up. I saw one room, and it was OK, but not spacious enough for me. The lobby was nice; it was just a little busy. Some of the staff was nice.

I was very impressed with Sunrise of Pikesville. They took us on a nice tour, and it seemed like a really nice facility. I've seen places that were a little more high-end, but this one didn't impress me as being high-end. First of all, we went in there without an appointment, and they had somebody give us a tour. We got to walk around, check the place out, and talk to people, and it seemed to be pleasant. They had a nice little patio, and their dining area looked like a cozy restaurant more than...

The Sunrise community at Pikesville actually has a live-in dog and cat, which was really fabulous. We saw a room that was available that we were actually going to be placing my father into. Super friendly folks there -- it was just really amazing. Like I said, they had a resident dog and a cat, which was really positive and uplifting for the residents, and my father would have loved it. Sunrise of Pikesville was very homey. It wasn't like what I would call institutional at all. Actually, it was kind of funny that they have a house dog there, and the dog was just wandering around. The residents were getting ready to have lunch, so it was nice to see everybody just kind of interacting. My contact there was very friendly, took a lot of time to answer all my questions, and gave us a tour, and it is likely to be my number one choice. I also asked them about respite care because, at ...

This is a very pretty place and that's about it. My mom's clothes were lost. Her medications were given incorrectly, and the staff (mostly GNAs or lower), didn't know how to contact her doctor or any doctor. Sunday dinner was a hotdog, with very salty chips. I wouldn't believe what we were paying for. Phone call regarding care issues went unanswered. I would not recommend this place.

I liked the layout of the rooms and the windows at Sunrise of Pikesville. However, they had a waiting list for the studios when I went there. The rooms were like upscale hotel rooms. They served three meals a day. They took us on a tour and explained things. They were rather reluctant to really tell us the monthly cost. They just informed us of the price range, which was per day. It was a very nice facility, but you wouldn't really know unless you had a family in there.

I moved my mom to Sunrise of Pikesville, and she's very happy where she is. It is not too far from where I live. It is three miles from my house. So, the location is really important. It is not huge. It is the right size. She can have the room I want her to have, and there are activities going on all day long. So she can be active. The rehab is just right there. The staff is so attentive and pleasant. You have a main caregiver. While that caregiver is on duty, that person is always looking after...

Sunrise of Pikesville was very nice. My mother is at level 3, however; this facility is sort of a la carte. It may start off not being too expensive, but because my mother has so many things that just keep adding on and adding on, it would become too expensive. Their rooms were nice. It was like a hotel. It had a lovely dining room and a lot of activities. The staff was very nice too.

The facility and the staff in Sunrise were both nice. The rooms were the same as the other places that I visited. They had an activity board, and they offered daily activities like exercises and calisthenics. They also had their own transportation service. They went shopping and they took people around.

It looked like everyone was very happy.

I really liked Sunrise of Pikesville when I went there for a visit. That was a really cool place. The rooms were really nice, with the way they were laid out. They had these shared rooms, which is kind of nice because they still have separate big bedrooms. The residents who live there are very happy with the care. It seemed like a really happy and upbeat place.

The staff and level care at Sunrise Assisted Living in Pikesville, Baltimore, MD is truly stellar.
