My 87 yo mother , who lives with me, recently fell and fractured her wrist. As a result, I was unable to leave her alone in order to do errands and go to my own Dr. appts. At the encouragement of my family, I hired a home health aid for 2 - 31/2 hrs blocks of time during the week for a few weeks. I selected times that fit well with my needs. The home health aid is very sweet and enthusiastic. She gets my Mom to go for waiks and they have baked together. It has really helped me be more organized in my own planning for myself. I think my Mom is going along with it for my sake. Once she is healed and ready to resume previous activities, she has agreed to go out to 1/2 day Sr. Center Day Program. I need to keep the time for myself and she needs to continue to socialize with others. wish us luck! Maureen Stachowicz
