Lynridge of Huntsville is located in the shadow of Crestwood Medical Center. We are the closest Memory Care to both area hospitals.

At Lynridge Huntsville Huntsville, Memory Care is our specialty. We offer stimulating programs and activities throughout the day and we also use our iN2L (Never Too Late) software to keep our residents engaged. Each day in Memory Care is a stroll down memory lane. Our families help our staff understand all aspects of the resident's life prior to a dementia diagnosis. As the resident walks their own dementia journey, our care staff is there to support them 24/7. Families can finally feel at peace knowing their loved one is safe at Lynridge. Our job is to keep the resident as independent as possible for as long as possible.

At Lynridge of Huntsville, we believe our Memory Care residents should be treated with the same dignity and respect that our Assisted Living residents receive at meal time. All Memory Care residents are served fine dining style and assistance is provided for those residents who need it. Every person's experience with dementia is different. Knowing that, we are able to adjust to the resident's needs as they change.

HarborChase of Huntsville wants our residents' families to be involved in their loved ones care. We meet with families prior to the resident's move-in date to discuss everything that will make the transition as seamless as possible. Once the resident has moved into their new apartment, our Life Enrichment Team will talk with them about our activities schedule and find out more about the resident as a person and their life experiences. When emergencies arise, calls are made to the family and we will continue communication until the situation is resolved.

Prior to admission, our Director of Memory Care will perform an initial evaluation of the potential resident. Once the resident moves in, official evaluations are done on a monthly basis or sooner if the need arises. However, as trained staff, we know to be vigilant with our residents and there care. All staff is trained to be aware of behaviors that might indicate an underlying cause such as an infection or possible medicine interactions. Our care staff is trained to report any unusual behavior to our nursing staff immediately so that further evaluation can occur.

HarborChase has a wide range of ages with the average being 82. We are fortunate to have a larger male resident population than many other Assisted Living communities. Our residents are very social and love spending time with each other. We have a unique family feel because at HarborChase, you really are apart of our family. From coffee or milkshake socials, to Happy Hours, to Bingo  and Family Feud Live, there are over 21 activities to choose from daily. We do more activities in a morning than some communities might do all day. Our residents also enjoy outings to local shopping retailers and you can even find us participating in local parades! All Assisted Living residents are given a pendant to wear that can be pressed at anytime to alert our care staff of their needs. Our apartments all have an emergency pull cord by the bed and the bathroom. We also perform checks in 2 hour increments on all residents.

At HarborChase of Huntsville, the health and safety of our residents is top priority. When someone in our Assisted Living becomes a wandering risk, we immediately begin evaluating their current situation. We communicate with the family about our plans to keep that resident safe.
