My aunt is at Sunrise on Providence's assisted living. It's very nice, very clean, with no bad smells, and everyone is very friendly and very good to my aunt so she likes it there. Her room is very nice, very comfortable, and a nice size so she's very comfortable in there. They have classes and they have hobbies. They have wonderful meals and sometimes people come in and do little programs for them so it's quite nice. They also have a beautiful place to sit outside under a covered court. I ate there once and it was very good. She also always tells me she likes the food.

I fell in love with Sunrise on Providence. I liked everything about it. It seemed at home. It was just beautiful: the whole place, the layout, and the furniture. The rooms were handicap accessible. It was perfect. They were very professional and very caring. They listened to me and I'm a talker. They listened to my every word, but when they told me their pricing, I just couldn't afford it. It wasn't in my budget.

Sunrise on Providence had a very family-like, homey feel. The director I met with was so generous, kind, and helpful. There was a lot of personalization or modification of care to meet personal needs. There was no pressure, but clearly they wanted to help you. There were activities going on. I didn't eat the food, but everything looked very clean, and well organized. There was an individual singing and entertaining. Some older residents were in a living room, and then there was someone playing the violin. It just had a nice feeling to it. The dining area looked nice. It looked like a restaurant. The staff was super kind, thoughtful, hopeful, straightforward, and honest. They were trying to be as transparent as possible about costs. It was a good experience overall.

I didn't get the same good feeling that I got from other facilities when I went to Sunrise on Providence. Not that it was a bad feeling, but I waited for a while for someone to help me. The lady was busy and she didn't know I was coming, but once she found out, she was very accommodating. The rooms were OK. They were furnished, although not up to the level that I liked, but they were decent rooms. They had a nice sitting area when you first walked in, a nice cafeteria, and other amenities for gathering.

As soon as I drove up to Sunrise on Providence, I loved it. It's old fashioned and I got that homey feeling about it. Some seniors were sitting outside and they were friendly even before I got inside. I liked the ambiance of the place. It was nice. I was hoping that I would be able to afford it. The staff were all friendly and very nice, too. They had arts and crafts, a library, and you can sit outside on the porch.

I liked Sunrise on Providence. We toured both the memory care, which is downstairs, and the regular residence. I like the fact that if something happens to my father, if he falls or something, they are still able to take care of him, and he doesn't have to go to another facility. For amenities, they have food, medication reminders, they have activities for them to get them out and move around. I just like the fact that he could have his own space, or he can share it with someone appropriate for him to be with, and normally he used to be by himself. So I like the fact that he had different options. The rooms were very nice, she showed where you share, or he can have his own private area. We went over price and everything. I'm concerned about the screened doors that they have. Someone escaped once before, but they say if somebody goes out those screened doors, the alarms would go off. They're right there on Providence Road, and that's a very busy road. Everyone's pretty friendly, and the person who gave the tour, she was new, she came from another Sunrise, but she's really good. The residents were all taking their time, they were being very patient.

I toured Sunrise on Providence for my mom. It was very nice and everyone was very personable. The staff took their time, they asked a lot of questions, and they allowed us to ask a lot of questions. They were very caring. It was very clean. They have lots of social activities. They also have a garden, which was nice. I like the way the apartments are laid out; that was very good. We didn't try the food, but we did visit the dining area, and it was very clean and nice.

Sunrise on Providence was a very nice facility. Everyone was friendly and professional. It was nice and clean. The rooms we were shown were very nice. Everything was bright. We saw the salon and the library, and those were very nice. I asked one of the residents if she enjoyed living there, and she said she enjoyed it very much.

Sunrise on Providence was the other one that I went to visit that had a hoyer lift, but we cannot afford them. It's beautiful and they were nice, but all the bells and whistles that they had were why it cost so much, and with my mom almost really being in a comatose state, she isn't gonna benefit from any of those things. If she had been up and active, ambulatory, engaged, and doing all the stuff, it might have been worth it, but there's no way we could pay that for her to just lay in the bed. The staff member was excellent, and knew what she was doing, and what she was talking about. There are some pages that you can go to and look at all the different ratings for assisted living in North Carolina, and Sunrise on Providence had a couple of low ratings, so I asked the staff about that and she knew exactly what was going on and how they were addressing it, so that was good. She was very professional and very on top of it. It was during COVID, so I had a very limited tour. They put me into the building downstairs to where the memory care was, but I could not go into the unit. They were concerned about COVID. It's a new facility, very clean, and no bad smell. They had a pond in the back that I particularly liked. The facility itself looked like a big old home with a big front porch. It was very welcoming, very clean, and very nice. When I told them that my mother needed 24/7 care and that she needed the hoyer lift, they said they could handle that.

My sister is now at the assisted living of Sunrise on Providence. Everybody is very nice. She is happy with it; she has adjusted. However, they have a very small parking lot, and apparently there is no room to expand. It is clearly an issue that they have, but everything else seems to be OK. They have activities, but my sister hasn't gone to a lot of them. She has made some friends. Some of the friends come over to her apartment. They sit there, they chit-chat, and they watch TV. They have two activities a day for the residents, and I see a lot of them there. The staff is adequate. The dining area is very nice. My sister is OK with the food. The building itself is very comfortable. I've seen people in the living room, and there's lots of residents. The last time I visited they were singing and playing with instruments. My sister likes her room. She likes the view, too. It is also about two miles away from where her house was, so she is familiar with the neighborhood.

Sunrise on Providence was a nice place. I enjoyed the tour. I like its location. It was a place that we were considering. The rooms were nice, but the staff members were not as friendly. They have a salon, and they have a place where they can have worship, but there is no gym. The residents seemed to be happy. When I went on tour, they were having lunch, so the dining area was full. They seemed to be enjoying their meals. It's done where you can order off a menu. The menu looked like it would be good food to eat.

Sunrise on Providence was a very clean place with adequate activities. I saw a nice single room and a double room. It was one of the places that I liked more than the others, and their price was OK. I saw a sitting room where they can watch TV and a game room.

Sunrise was very helpful. They gave me lunch, and it was very refreshing. The food was good. We were talking about pricing, and she was very clear that the price she gave me was subject to change. I was very impressed with the entire setup. They had a lot of activities. Their rooms were very nice, and their showers were wheelchair accessible. This place is my top choice.

The second choice was Sunrise on Providence. The staff was really nice. It was a totally different kind of building, not as open and bright as the other facility, but it seemed very clean. The rooms were not quite as nice, but the cost would have been very comparable. They seemed to have a really good kitchen facility. You tell them what you want, and they make it. Sunrise on Providence was a little more traditional. It is an older building than the other facility; however, it was very nice. I wouldn't get upset if we have to put my dad there.

We visited Sunrise on Providence. The facility itself is very nice. However, the level of care they provide needs improvement. They're understaffed, and they need to hire more people. The rooms were spacious, but we found some of the rooms can be a little dark. They had a lot of activities like exercises and kids from school come in and visit the residents pretty often. Security and safety is well maintained.

I didn't really get a good feel of Sunrise on Providence. There were boxes in the hallway, and it seemed a little older. It needed some renovating. It's not very homey. It didn't seem unclean; it just wasn't as well taken care of as far as its appearance, and it was kind of cluttered. The rooms were OK. They weren't very spacious, and they didn't have a separated bedroom area. The staff was OK. The dining area was very nice.

My parents are currently at Sunrise on Providence. I thought it felt more approachable and a little homier. Unfortunately, my dad is used to having more space than what he has now, and he is a very private person, so he probably doesn't want to engage in very many activities. I didn't like the staff very much. And of the people in the memory care unit, which is where my mother is transitioning, two were very helpful. They have music, outings, and a group that goes out to lunch. They have a men's luncheon, and they have organized all kinds of games and stuff, but my dad doesn't want to participate in anything.

I like the size of the rooms at Sunrise at Providence. The layout, looks, and the décor felt homey. It didn’t feel too institutional. I also like the people because they seemed nice and friendly. The place was very clean looking. We weren't overly impressed with the food.

The first one we chose was Sunrise on Providence Road. I only had him there for five days and I took him out. I didn’t like it there. The room that they gave him was fine. It was kind of nice, but the facility for memory care was very close, small, and noisy. Their food was terrible. It was just not the right place for my husband. I lost a lot of money because they would not give me any money back at all. The staff were good, and when I first arrived, I had all the help I needed to move in, and that was great. When I was moving out, they were too busy to help me. I would not recommend them for memory care.

At Sunrise on Providence, they had good programs for memory loss patients. I would rate them highly. The staff were excellent people and very knowledgeable. At the time I visited it, some of the seniors were doing exercises that they could do sitting down. They were doing some puzzles and different things that people with dementia would be doing. The rooms were very nice. They were the same size and have the same type of facilities, like a shower and a bathroom.

I did visit Sunrise. It was in a great location. It was a newer facility and it did have a good warm feeling about it that would be inviting for the residents. Their rooms were nice, warm and well-equipped. I would also say their rooms were spacious but to a degree that you have a good living accommodation, which would be fine. The people there were very friendly and accommodating too.

I thought this facility was a wonderful place for seniors to live. Everything is very clean and neat, and decorated nicely. The staff is extremely friendly and they treat their residents extremely well. The Sunrise on Providence is a great place to live. The location is great, being close to South Park mall and local restaurants. My boyfriend's grandmother lives in this facility, and she has never been happier. They have so many fun activities and events for the men and women living there; it truly is a warm and engaging place to live and stay active at an advanced age. I noticed his grandmother would be eager to go home and see here friends. Her daughters take much comfort in the fact that she is well taken care of and there in case anything happens while they cannot be there. I was pleasantly surprised because this was a far cry from the typical nursing home I am used to.

I found this facility to be exceptional. When my grandmother was staying here, I was about 14 and one of my favorite things to do was use the wheelchairs in the hall and ride them around the hallways. The nurses and assistants working there had no problem with me having a little fun as long as I wasn't getting in anybody's way. This type of free loving atmosphere was crucial in my acceptance of the place. I loved the way they took care of their residents, without making them feel like they were living in a prison. The residents, as well as their visitors, had plenty of freedom to live as they wanted to live, which is very important in these kinds of facilities. They made it feel as much like a home as they could.

I visited Sunrise at Providence while assisting a family in finding short term respite care for their loved one. Upon entering the facility, we were immediately greeted by friendly, smiling staff. The atmosphere was clean, bright, and free from any kind of negative odors. The staff in this facility in general seemed very friendly. I saw nurses talking individually to residents and also a scheduled activity in the common area (art time). The calendar of activities was impressive and it seemed as if there was plenty to keep any resident busy if they chose to participate. The dining hall was also very clean and set up to feel very "home like". I spoke with two residents who both stated they enjoyed the food. The individual rooms were spacious and it seemed as if residents were encouraged to decorate them to feel like home. I saw many pictures of family members and personal items displayed proudly in the rooms. All in all this facility was very impressive and my client stated she enjoyed her stay there (though was, understandably, also happy to return home). I would recommend it easily and use it for my own family members if the need ever presented itself.
