My mom, 75 yrs this past August. Had a pretty serious stroke on May 26th. She had been off of cumadin preparing for shoulder replacement surgery. I am wondering if anyone here knows more details about home healthcare and becoming one. I have been told my friends who no longer live in Mass., that I could become one and get paid to care for my mom. Does anyone know the law? I am also interested in talking to people who might have been in my shoes. Just a foot note ~ my mom's role for something like 60 years was care giver. Her mom had MS and my mom was an only child. Being the one being cared for...is new for ALL of us. Especially my dad! We are all trying to adjust, but mom refuses therapy of all kinds. She can do most things on her own. She can no longer cook! Any help that anyone can give me of how to proceed and to get my dad to understand how important it is for mom to have therapy, if nothing else. speech!
